Facephi Enhances Digital Security with Advanced Behavioral Biometrics to Prevent Sophisticated Real-Time Fraud

Business Upturn5 hours ago

Its new product creates unique behavioral profiles to detect complex fraud without compromising the user experience.
This technology upgrade boosts real-time security by combining artificial intelligence and contextual analysis to identify anomalous patterns and suspicious behavior.
With this new service, Facephi offers continuous protection against threats like identity theft and new account fraud (NAF).
ALICANTE, Spain, June 09, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Facephi, a Spanish technology company specializing in digital identity protection and verification, is tackling one of the biggest challenges in the digital world: detecting and neutralizing increasingly sophisticated fraud in real time with its Behavioral Biometrics solution. This technology analyzes over 3,000 contextual signals and is capable of generating a unique behavioral profile for each user to detect suspicious activity—without relying on traditional biometrics.
'The goal of this product is to create a sort of 'cyber-DNA' based on various user parameters derived from behavioral biometrics—something as unique as their fingerprints. The solution identifies individual characteristics in how people type or interact with their electronic devices, such as smartphones or computers, enabling highly accurate verification,' explains Jorge Sanz, General Manager at Facephi.
Real-Time Security Through AI and Contextual Analysis
Facephi's Behavioral Biometrics integrates seamlessly into its product ecosystem, combining contextual analysis with artificial intelligence. The solution not only strengthens user authentication but also continuously assesses risk based on the context of each interaction, such as geolocation or transaction history, adapting to new threats as they arise.
In other words, the system gathers a variety of parameters through behavioral biometrics: how a user operates a device, behavioral patterns, and details about when, from where, and what the user is accessing. It also provides device and network information, including all data associated with accessing a secured website or mobile application server.
Thanks to its ability to analyze dynamic signals, Facephi adds an extra layer of protection by evaluating every digital interaction within its context, ensuring that only legitimate users gain access to systems and services in highly regulated and sensitive sectors such as banking, fintech, insurance, and healthcare—where safeguarding digital identity is paramount. The Facephi solution ensures that user interactions are protected at all times and complies with the highest security standards.
This capability helps prevent identity theft and new account fraud (NAF) by detecting suspicious behavior, such as changes in typing rhythm, screen focus shifts, or abnormal response times.
With just two interactions, Facephi can identify the real person behind each user with >99% accuracy in milliseconds. It also detects anomalies, assesses risk levels, and generates alerts, allowing businesses to easily configure the system to automatically handle fraud cases.

SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler Calls on California Governor Gavin Newsom to Request Disaster Declaration for Small Businesses Impacted by L.A. Riots

Agency Requests Authorization to Deliver Aid to Victims of Looting, Property Destruction WASHINGTON, June 09, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, Kelly Loeffler, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), called on California Governor Gavin Newsom to request an SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Declaration to authorize the agency to begin delivering urgent assistance to small businesses across Los Angeles that have been ransacked by rioters since civil unrest began last week. The agency stands ready to deliver critical aid to innocent American victims – whose storefronts have been looted and destroyed by the migrant mob that is wreaking havoc in defense of criminal illegal aliens. 'We're giving Gavin Newsom the opportunity to stop siding with criminal illegal aliens and start siding with law-abiding Americans – many of whom have lost everything to the violent and destructive riots across Los Angeles,' said SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler. 'The migrant mob has looted stores, destroyed storefronts, and committed criminal acts of vandalism against our small businesses. Although local leaders are allowing Los Angeles to burn, federal partners are ready to help American citizens rebuild – and we will do so, as soon as the Governor answers their call for help.' For the safety of employees and small business owners, Administrator Loeffler recently announced that SBA would be relocating its Regional Office out of Los Angeles due to the city's refusal to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The Regional Office is located mere steps from the violence that continues to occur in downtown Los Angeles – and where U.S. Marines have been deployed to restore order. The SBA has provided the state of California with all relevant information needed to request an EIDL Declaration – which will allow small businesses in Los Angeles to apply for low-interest, long-term loans of up to $2 million to help them rebuild following the catastrophic violence of this weekend. Given the urgency of the situation, the SBA is committed to approving any such disaster declaration as soon as it is submitted by Governor Newsom. Itron Launches Cyble 5 Module in APAC Region to Transform Water Utility Operations

Itron Communication Module Streamlines Infrastructure Upgrades, Reduces Utility Costs and Supports Sustainability Initiatives LIBERTY LAKE, Wash., June 09, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI), which is innovating new ways for utilities and cities to manage energy and water, is bringing its Cyble™ 5 communications module to the Asia-Pacific region. The module, which is currently deployed throughout EMEA, allows mechanical water meters to become communication devices. This facilitates the transition from manual meter reading to automated meter reading and advanced metering infrastructure by improving the functionality of existing mechanical meters. With the Cyble 5 communication module, utilities across the region can upgrade their metering infrastructure, reduce costs, and support sustainability initiatives without extensive infrastructure replacement. The Cyble 5 communication module will be produced by PT Mecoindo in Cikarang, Indonesia, beginning Q4 2025. The Cyble 5 module addresses the diverse challenges facing utilities across the Asia-Pacific region, from streamlining the transition to smart metering to enabling conservation programs. In warmer and drier climates, such as Australia and New Zealand, the module's leak detection feature is particularly useful in combating water scarcity. Each Cyble 5 module has a continuous flow alarm and collects data hourly, helping utilities detect and manage leaks more effectively. This is a crucial benefit for water conservation and expanding water loss reduction programs. With extreme weather events on the rise, having a communications module built for extreme environments is crucial. The Cyble 5 module is built to resist water, contaminants, corrosion, humidity, and hot temperatures. Utilities across the entire region will benefit from the Cyble 5 module's versatility and durability. The Cyble 5 module is easy to connect with no wiring or wall mount required, allowing utilities to transition at their own pace without having to replace existing infrastructure before its useful life expires. 'Itron has shipped more than 2 million Cyble 5 modules in the EMEA region, and we are looking forward to expanding our offering to APAC. Utilities like Severn Trent Water in England have reduced water losses by millions of liters by identifying and repairing water leaks across their service territory with the Cyble 5. We look forward to bringing these and other benefits to utilities across the APAC region,' said Justin Patrick, senior vice president of Device solutions at Itron.
