Ankita Lokhande Marks 16 Years Of Pavitra Rishta, Remembers Sushant Singh Rajput: 'Woh Mujhe Bahut...'
Ankita Lokhande reunites with Usha Nadkarni to celebrate 16 years of Pavitra Rishta, remembers Sushant Singh Rajput's support and early acting struggles. It's been 16 years since Pavitra Rishta first aired, and even today, the show holds a special place in the hearts of fans. To mark the occasion, actress Ankita Lokhande—who played Archana in the series alongside Sushant Singh Rajput's Manav — celebrated the milestone with a special guest: her on-screen mother-in-law, Usha Nadkarni. Ankita, who gained a lot of fame from the show, created a special vlog to mark the day. She dressed as Archana, revisited some familiar places in the city, and later hosted Usha Nadkarni at her home. Ankita's husband, Vicky Jain, and her mother also joined in as the group reminisced about their time working on the iconic series. Usha Nadkarni played the role of Sushant Singh Rajput's mother in the show. During their heartfelt conversation, Ankita remembered the support she received from her co-stars, especially Sushant. She shared, 'Sushant itna achha actor tha. Woh mujhe bahut help karta tha. In logon ke saamne jab main jaati thi na, mujhe dar lagne lagta tha ki main kaise itne bade-bade scenes karun. Toh woh mujhe sikhata tha, 'aise bol'." Ankita also appreciated Usha Nadkarni for guiding her in her early acting days. The two also recalled how they didn't bond much at first, but gradually grew close while working together. Ankita credited Usha for helping her understand the value of performing naturally. Pavitra Rishta, which ran from June 1, 2009, to October 25, 2014, became one of the most-watched and emotionally loved Indian TV shows. The show not only made Sushant and Ankita household names, but also became a cultural touchstone in Indian television history. While the show had started with Ankita being paired opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, later Hiten Tejwani replaced him as Manav. Ankita and Hiten had been part of the show till it went off air. Currently, Ankita Lokhande is seen in the reality show Laughter Chefs. Usha Nadkarni, meanwhile, was last seen on Celebrity MasterChef. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020.
