Iraq, Jordan, Egypt reject Israeli aggression against Gaza
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atty expressed on Thursday their countries' rejection of the continued Israeli aggression against Gaza.
During a joint press conference held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, Hussein said that a trilateral foreign ministers' meeting was held ahead of the upcoming trilateral leaders' summit on Saturday, on the sidelines of the 34th Arab Summit in Baghdad, according to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.
Hussein stated that the trilateral summit's final declaration has been studied and would be available early next week, highlighting the three countries' clear agreement, notably on the Palestinian issue.
The three ministers' meeting addressed important issues, including energy and oil, as part of a larger effort to improve economic cooperation, according to Hussein.
Al-Safadi noted that the trilateral meeting reviewed approaches to activate collaboration between the three countries, noting that the common objective is to contribute to the resolution of regional challenges.
Al-Safadi urged the international community to take responsibility for the situation in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need to reject Israel's ongoing aggression. He called for an urgent truce and the rescue of the people in Gaza.
The Jordanian minister expressed Jordan's support for Syria's reconstruction efforts, noting that Syria's security is an essential part of regional stability.
Abdel-Atty noted that the Arab Summit in the Iraqi capital represents clear evidence of Iraq's stability and security.
Abdel-Atty stated that Arab countries face serious challenges that threaten Arab national security, underlining that regional stability cannot be attained without a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue.
The Egyptian minister highlighted that it is difficult to remain silent about restricting the entry of humanitarian aid and that the three countries condemn the forced displacement of the Gaza Strip residents.
