Pittsburgh Steelers star safety and Alabama Crimson Tide great Minkah Fitzpatrick just gained an enemy for life, and unfortunately, that person is in his own family. The three-time All-Pro's brother, cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick, is committing to Georgia football, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett. Family gatherings will never be the same, as one of the SEC's fiercest rivalries finds its way to the Fitzpatrick household.

The 2026 four-star recruit did not include Bama in his list of top-five schools, which was a tad surprising, but he is taking his individuality to even greater lengths by moving to Athens. Fitzpatrick watched his older brother win two national championships with the Tide, and now he aims to enjoy his own glorious run with the Bulldogs.
Minkah will make his jokes and flash his rings, but he is surely excited to see Justice begin this next crucial part of his journey. The five-time Pro Bowler should have little problem with his kin representing Georgia for the next few years, especially since he knows the head coach. Kirby Smart served as Alabama's defensive coordinator during Fitzpatrick's freshman season, something that presumably came up during the recruitment process.

Smart helped the elder Fitzpatrick get off to a nice start in what turned out to be a magnificent college career, and now he is entrusted with molding Justice Fitzpatrick. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound talent out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a top-five ranked CB in his class. He chose Georgia football over reigning national champ Ohio State, Texas, Florida and Miami.

While he will certainly look to his accomplished and experienced brother for advice, Fitzpatrick is eager to make a name for himself with the Bulldogs. He joins a program that has a history of developing impactful defensive backs. Georgia is at its best when it is defined by an elite defense. This future player has the tools to help ensure that the team's identity stays intact.
Although Justice Fitzpatrick will be in the midst of his senior year at St. Thomas Aquinas, and Minkah Fitzpatrick will have NFL business to attend to with the Steelers, expect both athletes to be dialed-in when the Dawgs and Crimson Tide collide on Sept. 27.

That's when everything could change in his recruitment. Ohio State was a dream school for Fahey since he was a little kid and an offer from the Buckeyes would be a game-changer for him. Stanford told him on his visit that it might offer a few other quarterbacks if he wasn't going to commit and he still left without a pledge. A day later, Baylor commit Quinn Murphy was offered. Fahey is going through the recruiting process on his own timetable. Some programs couldn't wait and they've come and gone. Stanford and Indiana are at the top but Oregon to some extent and especially Ohio State means this will go on awhile longer. OKLAHOMA WILL NOT HAVE TWO QB COMMITS IN THIS CLASS Jeff McCulloch/ Advertisement It's coming up on a year that Jaden O'Neal has been committed to Oklahoma. He even moved to Mustang, Okla., for his senior season, just on the other side of town from the Norman campus. But O'Neal is now seriously looking around with Florida State, Arizona and others involved, a little turned off that Oklahoma has prioritized four-star QB Bowe Bentley in the class, especially since new offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle got to town. A simple solution would be to take both. It wouldn't be the first time that two quarterbacks went in the same class. But that seems unlikely as O'Neal gets recruited over and he's looking at other options. Bentley is down to LSU (where he visited last weekend) and Oklahoma (where he visits this weekend). O'Neal remains committed to the Sooners but is taking visits and investigating other options. It's less likely both end up in Norman. Advertisement SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH OKLAHOMA FANS AT QB ELIJAH HAVEN WILL STILL END UP AT LSU Elijah Haven is coming off a great mid-week visit to Auburn and the 2027 five-star quarterback said he plans to return to The Plains. He loves coach Hugh Freeze and position coach Kent Austin, so that is a great early sign for the Tigers. Haven already has more than a dozen offers and should have every offer he wants before decision time, but they might be coming in slowly because many believe LSU is his destiny. He's from Baton Rouge (La.) Dunham. He's grown very close with the LSU staff. Perhaps if offensive coordinator Joe Sloan takes a head coaching job or something totally unforeseen happens, Haven could end up elsewhere. But it would be a shock at this point. Advertisement LSU lost five-star Baton Rouge native Blaine Bradford to Ohio State this recruiting cycle. Five-star Baton Rouge native Lamar Brown is leaning Texas A&M over LSU right now. Haven could follow that route but even more likely is LSU ponies up more money and reconstitutes around getting Haven so it doesn't happen again. Top Georgia quarterback recruit Teddy Jarrard visits Notre Dame Top Georgia quarterback Teddy Jarrard visited Notre Dame for the first time Thursday, meeting with head coach Marcus Freeman, offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli. The Class of 2027 product from North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA) is a four-star prospect who is ranked as the 17th-best signal caller in this class, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Jarrard, a 6-foot-3, 190-pounder, has a bevy of offers from major schools, such as Georgia, Ohio State and Michigan, among others. The Fighting Irish have not yet extended an offer to a 2027 quarterback, but Jarrard could be the first. He plans to visit Purdue on Friday before heading to Penn State, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Mississippi State and Arkansas. But he would like to return to South Bend in the future. "Possibly for a game day or something if it comes that way," he said. "That'd be great. I had a great time up there and hopefully it comes to that where I'll be back for a game day." Many recruiting analysts believe Jarrard is ultimately destined for Georgia because of his appreciation for the program, and he is also the nephew of former Bulldogs letterman Cory Phillips. But don't count out the Irish, who could make Jarrard a centerpiece of the 2027 class.
