NHL star Brad Marchand's mom goes viral during Stanley Cup Final as cameras spot insane reaction in crowd
Florida Panthers star Brad Marchand's mom was seen going wild after her son fired home a dramatic double-overtime winner in the Stanley Cup Final.
Marchand's decisive strike handed the Panthers a 5-4 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Friday night, a result which evens up the final at 1-1 after their opening 4-3 defeat earlier in the week.
And after watching her eldest son's heroics at Rogers Place, an ecstatic Lynn Marchand could not contain her delight in the crowd.
Sportsnet cameras panned to the Canadian winger's mom in the stands, where she appeared to scream 'way to go Brad' with tears in her eyes before letting out a huge cheer.
'She is one that you need to put a muzzle on,' Marchand joked about his mom after the game. 'She gets pretty amped up at the games.
'They've always been so supportive, like all of our parents. I don't think there's a player in this league that could say their parents are not the main reason why they're here, the sacrifices they make and when you go on a journey as a team and you get to the Finals and you're going on a run, it's not just for you, it's for everybody that helped you get here and all your loved ones that are enjoying the moment, whether they're here or not.

'It's special to have them in the building, but hopefully we have a lot of great memories in the future as well.'
Brad's game-winning goal proved a vital one for the Panthers, who had twice fallen behind in Game 2 before rallying to take a 4-3 lead.
The Oilers then forced overtime by leveling the score at 4-4 in the dying seconds, meaning they took momentum into the extra period.
That was until Marchand, who had also moved Florida 4-3 ahead, beat Stuart Skinner on a breakaway and scored the all-important winner just over eight minutes into the second overtime.
'To be honest, I blacked out,' he said in his postgame interview with TNT Sports. 'I don't even know where it went.'

Obviously it's just unfortunate, but also fortunate that it hit me in the top of the head and not the back of the head. When asked about Fortes being visibly shaken by the moment, he said: 'I just told him, "I'm fine, I'm still going to go to battle with you, it's not going to change that fact." It was just one of those weird games.' The Marlins went on to win the game 11-10 in extra innings, moving the team to a 24-38 record for the season.

June 7 - Heriberto Hernandez had a pinch-hit RBI single in the 10th inning to lift the visiting Miami Marlins to a wild 11-10 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday. Miami bounced back from squandering a 10-6 lead and earned the advantage after Hernandez's base hit to shallow center field off Garrett Cleavinger (0-2) plated inherited runner Otto Lopez. Second baseman Xavier Edwards threw out Kameron Misner at the plate in the bottom of the 10th to help secure the win for Cade Gibson (1-3), who did not allow a hit over two scoreless innings. Rory McIlroy 's recent insistence on not talking to the media at tournaments has left the PGA Tour concerned, according to one high-profile golf insider. It has been a year to remember for the Northern Irishman already, with his Masters triumph completing his career Grand Slam after a decade of trying. Away from the course, though, McIlroy has butted heads with reporters after repeatedly refusing to speak to them between rounds. Speaking this week at the Canadian Open - which saw him fail to make the cut after a woeful first round - the world No 2 said: 'I've been beating this drum for a long time. 'If they want to make it mandatory, that's fine, but in our rules, it says that it's not, and until the day that that's maybe written into the regulations, you're going to have guys skip from time to time, and that's well within our rights.' McIlroy's decision has created negative headlines around the world and according to The Golf Channel's Rex Hoggard, it has left the PGA Tour concerned - given McIlroy is perhaps its biggest star. 'Until there is something concrete, until there is something mandatory in the PGA Tour regulations, Rory said this is just going to be the way of life on the PGA Tour in the media,' Ryan Lavner began on The Golf Channel podcast. The other 155 players at Quail Hollow were looking and saying to themselves… "Well, if that guy isn't going to do it, why in the world would I talk to the media after a round?" 'That is disturbing; that's concerning for all of us in the media. The flip side of that would be what you are alluding to. The idea that maybe, like most sports, maybe the PGA Tour should have a policy that demands players should have media availability after each round.' So far, the PGA Tour has not made any move to force its players to speak to the media, but the door remains open. McIlroy is due to play next week at the US Open, which begins at Quail Hollow on Thursday.
