
Man killed in U.S. 20 crash in Porter County
A man was killed when he drove his pickup truck left of center and crashed head-on into a semi on U.S. 20 and Brummitt Road in Porter County Monday morning.
The man's identity has not been released, pending notification of his family. He died at the crash scene, which is in Westchester Township in Porter County.
According to the Porter County Sheriff's Office, the man was driving his 2024 Ford Ranger westbound on U.S. 20 when he decided to pass a slower-moving vehicle just before 9 a.m. Monday.
For reasons unknown, the pickup truck went left of center and struck an eastbound semi in the left lane.
The driver of the semi-trailer attempted to avoid the collision and veered right, striking another eastbound semi.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash shut down that section of U.S. 20 for hours because cleanup was expected to take 'an incredible amount of effort and time,' Sgt. Benjamin McFalls, the department's public information officer, said in a release.
Porter County's Crash Reconstruction team also was investigating the crash scene.

Chase ends with police car maneuver into Westchester Township farm field
A pursuit that started in Porter ended when a police officer executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, forcing the vehicle into a farm field in Westchester Township Wednesday night. Matthew Mocabee, 21, of Portage, was charged with a Level 6 felony of resisting law enforcement and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and reckless driving. The situation started around 8:30 p.m. when a Porter Police officer attempted to stop a motorist, who had been seen tailgating and passing other vehicles on a double-yellow line around the 700 block of North Waverly Road. Mocabee, who was driving a 2004 Dodge Neon, kept going and turned eastbound on U.S. 20, police said. The chase wound down country roads in Westchester and Pine townships and reached speeds in excess of 100 mph. It was in the area of Burdick Road and County Road 575 East that the police officer executed the PIT maneuver that pushed the Neon into the field. Mocabee wasn't hurt and offered no resistance when he was arrested. The Porter County Sheriff's Office also assisted in the arrest.

Henry County car chase ends in drug arrest, one still at large
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Henry County Sheriff's Office said a man and a woman wanted in Henry County on drug charges led deputies on a vehicle pursuit near Bassett on June 10. According to the sheriff, deputies attempted to pull over a green Ford Ranger pickup truck on the 1500 block of Stones Dairy Road around 4 p.m. on Tuesday when the driver, 25-year-old Brandee Taylor Feazelle of Collinsville, allegedly fled. Deputies began to pursue Feazelle down Stones Dairy Road before turning onto Jarrett Drive, the sheriff said. As the chase continued, deputies allegedly witnessed the passenger door being opened 'multiple' times, suggesting that one of the occupants may have been attempting to flee. Teen charged with robbery at Collinsville store, sheriff said The sheriff said that Feazelle then stopped the Ford Ranger behind a location at Jarrett Drive and exited the vehicle before allegedly attempting to flee on foot. James Shaffer, who was identified as the passenger in the front seat, also fled the scene into a wooded area behind a nearby trailer, according to the sheriff. Deputies also apprehended a third person who attempted to flee the scene; however, it was determined they had no outstanding warrants and were later released. A K9 Deputy responded to the scene and conducted a track to locate Shaffer, but the search was unsuccessful. Feazelle and Shaffer were both wanted on outstanding warrants. A search of the vehicle was then conducted, during which narcotics and drug paraphernalia were allegedly seized. Those items were collected and will be sent to the Virginia Department of Forensic Science Western Lab in Roanoke for testing. Three arrests made in Henry County homicides and human trafficking cases Brandee Taylor Feazelle has been arrested and charged with the following outstanding warrants: Possession of Schedule I or II Controlled Substances (Virginia Code Section §18.2-250) Probation Violation (Virginia Code Section §19.2-306) Additionally, Feazelle was charged with: Fail to Stop for Law Enforcement (Virginia Code Section§ 46.2-817) Loud Exhaust (Virginia Code Section §46.2-1049) Improper Tread Depth (Virginia Code Section§ 46.2-1043) Feazelle is currently being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond. Rear-end collision on Sherwood Way causes accident
SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A two-vehicle crash on Sherwood Way occurred around 2 p.m. on Monday, June 9. Both vehicles were heading eastbound on Sherwood when a Cadillac attempted to turn into the Buick parking lot, where the Ford Ranger rear-ended it. According to SAPD, the driver of the Cadillac commented about minor pain but refused to be seen or treated on site. The driver of the Ranger was cited for failure to control speed.
