Next's £34 linen trousers that are 'cool and comfortable' come in six colours
A pair of trousers from Next have received high praise for their 'cool' linen fabric that's perfect for holidays
The summer season is fast approaching and but with the high street stocked with sunshine-ready attire, there's still time to update our wardrobes for the warm weather. While dresses, shorts and strappy tops are essential for the more balmy temperatures, one staple all shoppers love is linen trousers. And British retailer Next is currently offering a pair that shoppers have been buying in different colours.
Priced at £34, the Tie Waist Wide Leg Linen Blend Trousers come in a variety of hues including blue, navy, white, pink and two patterned options - one of which features a bold palm print. The trousers are available in a range of sizes (although some have already sold out) and come in regular or petite lengths.
What sets these trousers apart as a favourite for the hotter days is their breathable, lightweight linen-blend fabric. They feature an elasticated waistband with a tie fastening for an adjustable fit, and both side and rear pockets for small essentials.
The wide-leg silhouette also adds a breezy touch that is very on trend right now and flatters most figures.
Other retailers such as Roman are also offering similar styles that are a hit with shoppers. Its Full Length Linen Blend Trousers, priced at £30, are available in stone, green and black, reports the Mirror.
Customers have praised their 'good quality' and 'comfortable' fit, although one shopper noted they had to purchase a 'size smaller'.
For those willing to spend a bit more, Nobody's Child offers a sought-after linen style that's selling quickly on its website. Priced at £65, the White Linen-blend Shona Trousers feature a flattering wide-leg cut and drawstring waist, along with side pockets similar to Next's design.
The Next linen trousers are receiving rave reviews from keen fashion fans who have bought a variety of colour options. Shoppers particularly love their adaptable style and 'flattering' cut. A five-star review for the Black Palm print style praised: "Lovely trousers, a good fit, not too long as I am only 5ft 4 inches. You can dress them up or down, definitely recommend."
Another Next fan added: " Beautiful trousers, flattering, comfortable soft feel and feminine. The high waist is so easy and holds its shape well. Love them."
Someone who bought the blue design also remarked: "Great pair of cool comfortable linen trousers for the summer. Wash nice and no shrinkage. Good value for money."
However, sizing was an issue for some, with one buyer commenting their a three-star verdict: "Love the pattern and colours. However. I am size 16. Far too large. Bought 14, still too large."
For others, the leg was too wide as someone else noted: "Good fabric for Summer. Very wide trousers, did not suit me so returned."
The Tie Waist Wide Leg Linen Blend Trousers are available at Next for £34.

Shoppers 'transform rooms' using £30 Millie Mackintosh paint range that's 'easy to use'
For those wanting to revitalise their living space, a simple coat of paint can work miracles. Whether you're updating your kitchen cabinets, injecting character with coloured skirting boards, or designing a statement wall in the lounge, the perfect shade of paint can breathe new life into any room. Choosing the ideal paint hue can be tricky, with an overwhelming array of options making the selection process somewhat intimidating. Yet, the latest collection from the luxury, environmentally friendly label COAT Paints may just solve this issue. The brand has teamed up with popular TV figure and health guru Millie Mackintosh for the launch. The collection boasts an array of colours suitable for every nook and cranny in the home, covering bedrooms and bathrooms to kitchens and entrance halls. Discussing her collaboration, Made in Chelsea alum Millie Mackintosh, aged 35, shared: "Creating a mindful home environment has been essential to me, especially as I've navigated motherhood and my personal wellness journey. "Every colour in this collection is a reflection of that - whether it's the calming tones of 'Balance' or the warm embrace of 'Gratitude.' I wanted this palette to encourage people to slow down, reflect, and create spaces that feel comforting and rejuvenating", reports the Mirror. The COAT x Millie Mackintosh range features six unique hues. There's Presence, a Blush Plaster Pink; Poise, a Pale Blush Pink; Centred, an Earthy Pale Beige; Renew, a Teal Blue; Manifest, a Soft Fresh Green; and Nourish, a gentle, muted sage green. All of the hues are available in six finishes - Flat Matt, Soft Sheen, Interior Eggshell, Exterior Eggshell, Claypaint, and Floor Paint - ensuring there's a formula for every surface. Coat Paints Depending on the quantity of paint required, the collection is offered at various price points: from £30 for 1L, £56 for 2.5L, or £96 for 5L. Plus, it's simple to test before purchasing, with peel-and-stick samples available in each shade that are fully recyclable and 100% accurate to the actual paint colour. If this range doesn't quite hit the mark with customers, they could consider Farrow and Ball's new spring range, which features shades like deep red, mustard yellow, olive green and duck-egg blue, with prices around £33 for 750ml to £128 for 5L. Alternatively, House of Hackney offers a broad selection of made-to-order, water-based, low VOC, low odour paints across the colour spectrum, with prices around £59 for 2.5L or £100 for 5L. The paints from COAT - a B Corp Certified company - which are water-based, low V.O.C, premium paints designed to be among the highest-quality on the market, have proven to be popular with shoppers. The Coat paint range has garnered flawless reviews, with one customer exclaiming: "Just had our hallway and landing painted in Coat paint whilst away and all I can say is wow! Decorator not used Coat before but commented on excellent application. We have used Coat before ourselves and found it to be extremely easy to use and also the colours are amazing. Customer service is also second to none. We needed paint quickly and they upgraded to next day delivery." Another reviewer raved about the unique colours: "Beautiful soft hues, with colours you can't find anywhere else. I really enjoyed transforming my rooms with this paint, it has great coverage and is a real joy to use." A customer who opted for the Poise shade saidd: "I love this colour! I really wanted a pink bedroom but not too little girly feel. Poise was the perfect shade for that, it's so soft and subtle but at the same, so girly and a great pink. Did 2 layers and it's so lush!" One reviewer noted a slight discrepancy in the Renew shade's colour representation online, but was pleased with the final result: "The colour is a little different from what it looks like on the website - in my living room anyway - a bit more blue and less teal. It matches the sample sticker perfectly though, so I got what I was expecting." Another criticism came from a customer who experienced issues with delivery, but praised the customer service team for their prompt assistance: "Lovely paint colours, like the eco credentials. Good coverage and nice finish. Some issues with couriers lately, but customer service always very helpful and solve problems quickly." Someone else expressed initial doubts that were quickly dispelled: "I was unsure how pink this would be, but it's just perfect," they remarked about Poise. The COAT range, in collaboration with Millie Mackintosh, is up for grabs on their website.

Every Celeb Wears This 'Secret' High Street Brand - Now You Can Finally Shop It
If, like me, you've been (not so) patiently waiting for cult-favourite brand Dissh to finally land in the UK - you're in luck. The Australia-born label, known for its effortless silhouettes, breezy linen staples, and social media-famous dresses has officially arrived on British soil. That means no more import fees, shorter shipping times - and thanks to Selfridges - easier summer dressing for the balmy months ahead. While the brand was originally founded back in 2001, it wasn't until 2020 that Dissh truly earned its cult status - when owner Lucy Henry-Hicks took over and brought the Aussie label's laid-back, elevated vision to life. Since then, the brand has quietly made its mark, and is now worn by pretty much every cool-girl who knows a thing or two about fashion - including Kendall Jenner and Emrata, both of whom harbour a love for the low-key label. Jenner was spotted in the now sold out Nate Maxi Dress during a beachside stroll in 2024, while Ratajkowski opted for a classic (also sold out) black tank top for casual wear back in 2022. But the brand doesn't need to rely on celebrity endorsement to cement its dedicated following - its pieces more than stand on their own two feet. Take the Flynn Ruched Linen Top and Peggy Strapless Top as prime examples, along with the Sue Sleeveless Cotton-Knit Maxi Dress - all of which have gained serious traction thanks to their breathable, cotton-rich fabrics and effortless appeal. The latter, in particular, is selling at warp speed, but luckily, a few sizes are still available on the website. 1. Sue Sleeveless Knit Maxi Dress There are only a few sizes left in the Sue maxi, so if you want to snap it up, we'd suggest you act fast. Of course, that's not all. The trouser selection is equally as strong, with plenty of linen wide-leg options in soft, muted tones - perfect for sun soaked days out and inspired by the easy, loose-fitting silhouettes. And don't forget the brand's stellar range of maxi skirts - all effortlessly chic and ideal for both on and off-duty occasions, depending on what you decide to style them with. The Loula lace maxi skirt, in particular, feels like a boho dream straight from Sienna Miller's own wardrobe, and unsurprisingly, has flown off the online shelves. So, what are you waiting for? If you have a soft spot for chic staples that elevate any outfit, shop the best of Dissh from Selfridges below. Pre-warning though, a lot of these pieces are on their way out, so if you're looking for something that'll be in constant rotation once the weather remains steady, act sooner, rather than later. 2. Flynn Gathered Linen-Cotton Blend Top A Dissh best-seller which we can guarantee has been on the top of your wish list for a while now. 3. Lotus Scoop-Neck Linen Mini Dress The Lotus dress is a resort-ready linen number that'll see you through plenty holiday plans, casual or formal. 4. Gina Drawstring Linen Trousers The secret to summer dressing? A great pair of linen trousers - and the Gina Drawstring style might just be some of the best out there. 5. Longline Flared Stretch-Woven Vest A longline vest (or as we like to call it, a waist coat) will do the trick if you're looking for a great staple that you can wear year round. 6. Reagan Wide-Leg Denim Jeans A trusted pair of jeans are a must-have in any wardrobe rotation, and this Dissh pair is no exception - featuring cool-girl contrasting stitching. 7. Liza Ruffled Cotton-Poplin Midi Dress Tiered silhouettes have skyrocketed in popularity lately, and while Uniqlo's viral skirt may have played a part, we'd argue Dissh's Liza dress deserves just as much credit. 8. Carmel Halterneck Woven Top A classic halter neck top is great for the office or nights out with friends. 9. Toby Bitter Shirred Cotton-Poplin Dress We're quite simply obsessed with this shirred poplin dress, perfect for balmy summer days out and sophisticated evening plans out - just decide on your choice of footwear. 10. Peggy Strapless Cotton-Poplin Top A bandeau top is one of my all-time favourite wardrobe staples – it highlights the collarbones in the most effortless way. We've all seen the Peggy top circulating on social media, too. 11. Lune Two-Slip-Pockets Linen Shorts Linen shorts are key to a chafe-free holiday. Dissh's Lune linen shorts are a great choice and come in a rich-hued brown colourway. 12. Rick Off-Shoulder Cotton-Linen Blend Knit Top Off the shoulder tops are the ultimate cool-girl wardrobe staple that combine chic wearability with a casual twist.
