WWE star Shotzi has confirmed that her time with the company is coming to an end. While she has not been formally released like several other names in WWE's recent roster cuts, her contract will not be renewed when it expires in July. In a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), Shotzi wrote, 'Just to clarify, I still have a good amount of time on my contract. But come July I will be full time balls to the walls!'
Shotzi's profile has already been moved to the Alumni section of WWE.com, signaling her eventual departure from the promotion. The 32-year-old performer has been with WWE since 2019 and gained popularity in NXT before making her way to the main roster.
Exit comes with frustration over creative direction
While Shotzi expressed gratitude for her time in WWE, she also took a parting shot at how her talent was utilized. Quote-posting her final match on WWE Speed from February 2025, she wrote, 'Can't wait to wrestle for a lot longer than 3 minutes.'
The post referenced her bout against Zoey Stark, which ended in a short loss - symbolic of what she implied was limited screen time during her WWE run.
Responding to a fan who accused her of only caring now that the checks have stopped, Shotzi fired back, 'I never gave a sh*t about the money and that's the truth.'
Her comments reflect a wider sense of frustration that has become common among wrestlers who feel underutilized in a crowded roster.
Looking ahead, Shotzi is already teasing her next move. She asked fans for suggestions on their favorite independent wrestlers and promotions, stating, 'I want to wrestle EVERYONE!'
The message was well-received, with AEW star Abadon responding with an in-character GIF, seemingly hinting at a potential feud.
Meanwhile, TNA's AJ Francis extended an open invitation for Shotzi to join his faction "First Class" alongside other recently released stars like Dakota Kai and Oro Mensah.
Whether she heads to AEW, TNA, or the global indie scene, it's clear Shotzi is ready to start fresh on her own terms.
While she has a few months left under WWE contract, the countdown has begun. Her departure adds to the growing list of major changes in WWE's women's division and raises questions about how the company manages its deep talent pool.
