Big Brother's Lateysha Grace rushes baby daughter to hospital after health scare
Reality star, Lateysha Grace, told fans she was 'so scared' when her six-month-old baby daughter, Navy, was struggling to breathe, which resulted in an emergency dash to hospital
Celebrity Big Brother star, Lateysha Grace, rushed her baby daughter to hospital on Saturday after a "heartbreaking" health scare. The mum-of-three, 32, who found fame on Welsh reality show, The Valleys, in 2012, posted a snap of her six-month-old, Navy, in hospital, revealing that the tot had been struggling to breathe.
Explaining that she couldn't 'take her eyes off' her "brave baby girl", who was diagnosed with bronchitis and croup, Lateysha urged other parents to go straight to A&E if their child has similar symptoms. Captioning a photo of Navy Storm, she explained the tot and been given three rounds of nebulisers and two rounds of steroids, revealing: "Her heart rate was through the roof because of her temperature. So heartbreaking to see her like this."
Sharing the update with her followers, she said: "Sorry I've been so MIA guys. Navy took a turn for the worse on Friday night and we ended up in hospital until Saturday."
"It was so scary. She got diagnosed with bronchitis and croup bless her."
Explaining that she was going to share a video of her baby's breathing to help other parents, she continued: "I'm going to add a video in of her breathing to warn other parents to go straight to A&E if their child has similar symptoms."
Thankfully, the mum-of-three said little Navy was now "so much better", continuing: "She's on the mend now. Her breathing is so much better. She's drinking her milk and her temperature has gone."
Lateysha - who is also mum to Winter, nine, and two-year-old Layke - added: "Apparently she had it for a couple of days prior and day four or five is the worst, which were the days we were in hospital. So even if your baby has the tiniest of coughs/colds get it checked out.
"I honestly thought it was nothing at first as she had no temperature and was eating, drink and sleeping normally."
Lateysha, who waited until she was seven months pregnant to announce her third pregnancy after suffering a miscarriage in 2022, posted another photo of Navy, clutching a pink toy in her hospital bed, saying she 'couldn't take her eyes off her'.
Captioning the heartbreaking image, she said: "I didn't sleep for the whole 24 hours! I just couldn't take my eyes off her. So glad I listened to my intuition and took her in!"
After appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016, Lateysha bagged her own MTV series called Million Dollar Baby. She has also starred in reality shows, Ex On The Beach and Just Tattoo Of Us.

New initiative to prioritise babies' voices in Wales
The 'Pledge for Babies in Wales' was introduced by Swansea University and Children in Wales at the Children's Rights in Early Years Network conference. It urges anyone involved in the lives of babies to consider their distinct needs in every relevant decision. The pledge was developed to highlight the perspective of the baby, aiming to ensure their voices are recognised and valued. Led by Dr Jacky Tyrie from Swansea University's School of Social Science and Anna Westall from Children in Wales, the initiative was funded by Swansea University's IAA Fund and Children in Wales. The pledge was co-produced by the CREY Network, with input from professionals, parents, caregivers, and babies. An expert steering group oversaw the consultation and development process. The pledge encourages adults to listen to babies in daily interactions, care settings, and when making broader service and policy decisions. It also recognises the role of communities in supporting families and emphasises the importance of supporting adults to meet babies' needs. The Welsh minister for children and care, Dawn Bowden, attended the conference to highlight the significance of young children's rights and the network's work.

Welsh Government honours military during Armed Forces Week
It is honouring veterans, serving personnel, and their families. This week will conclude with a national event at Caldicot Castle on June 28, backed by £20,000 from the Welsh Government. The event will gather people to recognise the armed forces' integral role in Wales. Welsh troops, who make up around six to seven per cent of the UK's armed forces, are stationed worldwide. The Welsh Government supports the armed forces community, including those leaving service and their families, with tailored career events, educational help, and a highly regarded mental health service, Veterans NHS Wales. Ken Skates, the cabinet secretary with responsibility for the armed forces, said: "The armed forces community enriches every part of Welsh life. "This week of celebration gives us the chance to show our sincere thanks to those who serve or have served, and to reaffirm our commitment to supporting them, whatever their circumstances." The government has also introduced a GP accreditation scheme to provide veterans with care that acknowledges their unique experiences. More than 50 surgeries are now classed as 'Veteran Friendly'. Sarah Murphy, minister for mental health and wellbeing, urged more practices to join the scheme to ensure every veteran gets the 'specialist support they deserve.'

I grew up in Belgium and this is my most controversial opinion about British people - and the terrible behaviour that would get you in serious trouble back home
Let's talk about Lime bikes – yes, those green bikes that are cluttering up the pavements in cities like London, Nottingham and Manchester. Even Dame is fed up. Just last weekend, the 92-year-old actress took to Instagram to call out the 'loutish' behaviour of Lime bike users by sharing a photo of herself standing in front of dozens of seemingly abandoned e-bikes blocking the footpath. Then there are the not-so-silly safety concerns. London hospitals have seen a surge in people being admitted to A&E with what orthopedic surgeons are calling 'Lime bike leg', or broken legs caused by the hire e-bike, which weighs over 30kg, landing on the rider during a fall. And it's not just riders who are sustaining injuries – nearly everyone I know has had a run-in with a Lime bike.
