Popular folk rock band's frontman abruptly walks off stage mid-song
Fans were puzzled after Marcus Mumford suddenly walked off stage during a performance in Oregon earlier this month.
The Mumford & Sons frontman stopped singing mid-show during the band's concert in Bend on June 5.
Mumford said what sounded like 'Sorry, (expletive) them' before walking off stage, according to Parade,
A TikTok captured the incident, in which it appears that something in the crowd caught Mumford's eye.
Based on the comments on the video, people believe fans in the crowd were excessively drinking or needed medical attention.
'About 3 people passed out in a row. In the same song. So he stopped so they could get help,' one TikTok user commented.
'Poor Marcus. His first big show back and adults are trying to ruin it for him and his band. People need to stop going to show and drink a lot,' another comment reads.
Another user accused the venue of being 'cursed,' adding that people get unwell from 'lining up for the show the night before and not eating/drinking all day.'
Mumford & Sons is a Grammy-winning British folk rock band that formed in London in 2007. The band is best known for its international smash hits 'I Will Wait' and 'Believe.'
Mumford & Sons is currently on its 2025 North American tour. The tour includes a show at Xfinity Center in Mansfield on Friday, June 20. Fans can shop for tickets using reliable third-party ticket sellers like StubHub, VividSeats and SeatGeek.

DWTS Semifinalist Facing Legal Trouble After Alleged Shooting Incident
DWTS Semifinalist Facing Legal Trouble After Alleged Shooting Incident originally appeared on Parade. A former contestant from Dancing with the Stars is allegedly facing what could be major legal issues after an incident that took place in Florida. On June 13, TMZ reported that Antonio Brown, who competed on season 22 of DWTS with Sharna Burgess, was wanted by the authorities in Miami-Dade County, Florida. According to TMZ, they were told by law enforcement that Brown has a warrant out for his arrest. The potential charge is for attempted murder, and the warrant is tied to an alleged incident that took place in Florida in May. On June 12, The Washington Post reported that they reviewed the warrant issued in Florida. The warrant contains an attempted murder with a firearm charge, which would require a bond of $10,000 from the former NFL pro. Brown would also be placed under house arrest until the trial takes place. The charge comes after Brown was allegedly involved in a shooting that took place in Miami during a celebrity boxing match. ESPN reports that police detained Brown after the event for several hours. Video shared by TMZ showed Brown running just before gunshots were heard. The media outlet noted that it appeared Brown carried a gun in one hand as he ran. In addition, The Washington Post reports that authorities met with an alleged unnamed victim who was at the boxing event. The media outlet claims that Brown fired gunshots at him after the two had a physical fight. The victim's statement, TMZ reported, prompted the arrest warrant. Shortly after the incident initially happened, Brown posted a statement on the social media site X, formerly Twitter. On May 17, he wrote, "Regarding the boxing event that happened last night. I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me." Brown continued, "Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED." He added, "I will be talking to my legal council and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me. I will keep you all posted step-by-step on the process. Thank you for the support and love." Brown competed on season 22 of Dancing with the Stars, which premiered in March 2016. Brown and Burgess made it to week 9 of the competition, the semifinals, before their elimination. The finals for season 22 included Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy, Nyle DeMarco and Peta Murgatroyd, along with Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas. The Mirrorball trophy went to DeMarco and Murgatroyd. Parade reached out to Brown's team for comment. Mom's haircut moment turns preschool disaster into pure love
A preschool Valentine's Day party. A pair of craft scissors. And one very emotional 'first haircut' that didn't go as planned. What happened next? A mom's decision that turned heartbreak into healing—and inspired millions through a viral TikTok. Alexis Salerno (@lexfsal) shared the now-viral moment after her 4-year-old daughter had her hair cut by preschool friends during a playdate. It was her daughter's first-ever haircut—and it wasn't by choice. 'The girls got a hold of a pair of craft scissors from the craft station and cut my daughter's hair. My daughter is a bit shy and the youngest in the group. She shared with us that while she didn't tell them to stop in the moment, she didn't want her hair to be cut. This was my daughter's first haircut, her hair was down to her lower back, I was distraught looking at her soft baby curls on the floor,' Salerno told Newsweek. Related: 'Is that standard?': What one viral TikTok haircut revealed about parenting in 2025 After calling her husband home from work, Salerno took their daughter to a local salon. The stylists tried to reshape what was left of her long curls, but emotionally, the loss lingered. 'Many evenings she cried and asked her daddy to draw hair on her back, asked if he could make it grow back, and would cry in the evenings before be,d saying 'I don't feel like myself, I miss myself. I don't like my little hair. Mommy, how do you spell Please don't ever cut my hair agai,n friends?'' she shared. It was a haircut that carried the weight of personal reinvention. So Salerno made a bold, love-filled decision. Salerno, who had worn her hair waist-length her entire life, chopped it all off into a chin-length bob—and documented it in a viral TikTok that has since earned more than 2.9 million views. 'When I picked her up from school with my bob, her face lit up. She was SO excited. She ran over and gave me a big hug. Now she says we both have 'little hair' and she matches mommy,' Salerno told Newsweek. To help her daughter see the beauty in her new look, Salerno and her husband went all in: a pixie-cut Barbie, playing music by Pink, and pointing out strong, short-haired role models from athletes to actors. 'My husband and I did everything we could to celebrate her new 'do… and continued to tell her how special she was, no matter the length of her hair and that being different is cool,' she said. The TikTok video sparked a wave of support and admiration across the platform. 'The social media reaction has been wild! I'm new to TikTok and honestly still learning how to use the platform. People are generally being so kind and supportive,' she said. She also clarified that the incident didn't happen at school, despite what some commenters assumed. 'Other people are assuming this happened in school and are blaming the teacher they think is responsible for allowing this to happen. I've commented to clarify this happened outside of school,' she explained. Salerno is clear: while the moment was upsetting, it became an opportunity to model something deeper. 'I fully understand these are young kids and mistakes happen, I think everyone has learned from it. We have been able to teach our girl about resilience at a young age and that we've got her no matter what life throws at her,' she said. And for herself? 'I'm actually really liking the shorter locks, it feels freeing and it's nice to have a change after 30+ years of the same style,' she added. Woman Not Prepared for What Mama Dog Did With Her Puppies: 'Put Him Down'
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A mother dog repeatedly tried to bring her puppies to her owner so they could all be together, resulting in a hilarious montage. Savanah Pierce, 27, lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is the proud owner of Australian Shepherd dog, Ginger. On April 12, Pierce shared a throwback video from three years ago to her TikTok account, @savkaypierce, showing how Ginger acted after giving birth to her second litter of puppies—namely, trying to give her babies to her owner. "With her first litter, she used to try to bring her puppies to me in bed all the time so the second time around I knew that this was just part of her personality," Pierce told Newsweek. "She really feels like she's 'part of the pack' when it comes to me and my husband, so she really wanted the babies to be close to us and wanted to share them with us the entire time we had them." In the video, viewed more than 1.4 million times, Pierce showed the multiple times Ginger tried to bring her puppies to her owner so they could all hang out together. TikTok @savkaypierce It begins with Pierce relaxing on the sofa when Ginger walks through the door, a tiny puppy in her mouth, and places it on the ground by Pierce's feet. She then picks a puppy up from their shared bed and hands it to Pierce, who is standing in the doorway. It turns into a battle of wills, with the video montage continuing to show Ginger approaching Pierce with a puppy in her mouth, and Pierce telling her to "put it back." "Remembering that Ginger used to love bringing us her puppies," Pierce wrote over the video. "All day every day." She added in the caption: "And she created an army of snugglers." TikTok users has a huge reaction to the video, one joking: "She said take these damn kids," another adding: "She's a herding dog. Can't herd em if they're not moving yet." "She needs a babysitter for a mental health day," another agreed. Other commenters were concerned something was wrong, and perhaps Ginger was trying to tell Pierce that one of the puppies was sick. Speaking to Newsweek, Pierce confirmed the litter was "completely healthy," but "when she first started bringing us puppies, we had the same initial reaction." "But we quickly realized [it] had way more to do with her wanting to be around us than anything to do with the puppies themselves!" Ginger takes the puppy in her mouth and brings it to Savanah Pierce and her husband. Ginger takes the puppy in her mouth and brings it to Savanah Pierce and her husband. TikTok @savkaypierce A dog bringing you their puppies is a form of affection, showing they are comfortable around you, according to a vet-reviewed report from Wag!. The mother dog may also be proudly showing off the puppies, or requesting a break from the litter. Pierce and her husband ended up keeping a puppy from the litter, naming him Frank, and describing him as "the perfect addition to our family," adding "it's so fun for them to get to be together." And while Ginger may have spent the early days trying to bring her puppies to Pierce, she and Frank now have a "really special relationship, because he's literally been with her since the day he was born." Some of Frank's siblings were also taken in by Pierce's neighbor, parents-in-law and sister-in-law, Pierce added—"so she gets to see lots of her babies all the time."
