Diddy's Former Assistant Testifies To Mogul's Armed Suge Knight Confrontation
David James, Sean 'Diddy' Combs' former personal assistant, took the stand Monday (May 19) and Tuesday (May 20) to speak to his experiences while being employed by the Bad Boy Records founder. James said he was 'shook' after seeing the desire by Combs' team to 'grab guns and confront' Suge Knight at a Los Angeles diner in 2008, and the incident was so traumatic that it led to him quitting his job.
Per NBC, the event went down at night in Mel's Drive-In while Combs' crew was eating and Diddy's confidante D-Roc spotted the Death Row Records leader. 'That's mother f**king Suge Knight,' Roc said. Knight apparently didn't recognize Roc at first, who said, 'I'm Biggie's boy.' Back at the house, where James also 'saw Cassie crying,' Diddy allegedly armed himself with three guns and drove back to the restaurant to confront Suge. The 'All About The Benjamins' rapper ordered the assistant to drive around the block when they didn't find him.
'I was really shook up by it,' James said in court. 'This was the first time as his assistant that I realized my life was in danger. I told them I want to leave but give six months notice so I could train the next assistant.'
Cassie, who was Diddy's girlfriend during the year this occurred, also previously testified to this day. She said Diddy stopped one of their 'freak-off' sessions so he could go confront the fellow music industry titan, leaving her terrified and worried about what he might do.
'We were having a freak off in one of his homes in L.A. and he said Suge was at Mel's Diner and we packed up and drove down there,' Ventura testified on May 13, per NBC. 'I was screaming and crying, 'Please don't do anything stupid.' I didn't know what they were going to do.'
Suge Knight is currently in prison for an unrelated crime.

On 13 June, R Kelly was rushed to hospital after what his lawyers claim was an attempt on his life while he was in solitary confinement. Kelly claims that a fellow inmate told him that prison staff had asked him to eliminate the disgraced RnB veteran. His lawyers have approached Donald Trump to request presidential pardon for Kelly. Disgraced RnB veteran and convicted sexual predator Robert Kelker Kelly (R Kelly) is reportedly in hospital following an overdose on 13 June. According to media reports, R Kelly was in solitary confinement at the at Federal Correctional Institution in North Carolina when prison staff gave him an overdose of his anxiety medication, resulting in complications that sent him to the emergency room. According to Kelly and his legal team, this was a deliberate attempt on his life. His lawyers have made allegations about prison staff trying to 'eliminate' their client including claims that prison officials had blatantly refused to allow the inmate to undergo a medical procedure. The lawyers alleged that R Kelly's doctors had recommended surgery as he had blood clots in his legs and lungs, but prison officials allegedly ignored this advice and sent him back behind bars. He then struggled to get up on his feet and being unable to walk, he 'crawled to the door of the cell and lost consciousness,' Kelly's lawyer Beau Brindley told Earlier this month, Kelly filed a request for a temporary discharge from his sentence claiming that fellow inmate Mikeal Glenn Stine had alerted the former to his life being in danger. According to Kelly, Stine claimed to have been enlisted by prison officials 'to take care of him…permanently.' Various American media houses including USA Today were informed by Brindley that in his capacity as Kelly's legal representative, he had sought pardon from US president Donald Trump on behalf of his client. The prosecution has rubbished the claims made by both Kelly and his legal team, labelling the murder plot 'deeply unserious.' Assistant U.S. attorney Jason Julien told media: No court has the ability to enter an order freeing Kelly's victims from the prison that Kelly put them in and allowing inmates to seek release for fear of harm would be a slippery slope. "I felt so safe, and I wanted to explore even deeper versions of who Claire able to get crazy and emotional and chaotic." Well, things get even more chaotic when Kate finds Claire and Ryan together, and realizes she was tricked into covering up a fentanyl overdose that could lead back to Jackie. Despite the fact Jackie takes the fall, actor Domhnall Gleeson loved seeing the story play out. 'There's something kind of amazing about the notion of underestimating someone and then the price you can pay for that," he USA Today. And in the final moments of the Echo Valley ending, Kate's dog wakes her up in the middle of the night. She sees Claire sitting on the porch and the mother and daughter just stare at each other. Are they on good terms now? 'I don't have a clue,' Domhnall admits. 'We don't know, and that's what makes it meaningful. We all hoped for one thing, and we worry it'll be the other. And that's the same as being alive. We're all hoping things will go a certain way and are worried it won't.' "That's a question for the audience, isn't it?" Julianne Moore Entertainment Weekly.
