Flyers erase 15-pt deficit in first-half, soar to 75-67 win over St. Louis in home finale
DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's basketball team rallied back against Saint Louis at UD Arena on Tuesday evening, erasing a 15-point first-half deficit to win 75-67 in Atlantic 10 action.
The Flyers improve to 21-9 overall (11-6 A-10), while the Billikens fall to 17-13 overall (10-7 A-10).
Senior guard Enoch Cheeks led the Flyers as he scored 17 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and swiped two steals on the defensive end.
Five Flyers had double-digit points on the night; Enoch Cheeks (17), Nate Santos (13), Javon Bennett (10), Zed Key (10), and Amael L'Etang (10).

Philadelphia Flyers Lose Goalie To Overseas Club
The Philadelphia Flyers have lost one of their depth goalies, as Eetu Makiniemi has signed a one-year contract with TPS of the Finnish Liiga. Makiniemi, 26, signed a one-year contract with the Flyers for the 2024-25 season back in September. This was after he attended the Flyers' training camp on a professional tryout. Advertisement Unfortunately, Makiniemi's season ended in November after he suffered a sports hernia that required surgery. In five games with the Flyers' AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, he posted a 3-0-1 record, a .899 save percentage, and a 3.03 goals-against average. Makiniemi was eligible to hit the market as a Group 6 UFA this summer, but will instead be taking his talents overseas after landing this new deal. The Carolina Hurricanes selected Makiniemi with the 104th overall pick of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, but he never played a game for the club. In his two career NHL games with the San Jose Sharks during the 2022-23 season, he recorded a 1-0-1 record, a .906 save percentage, and a 2.13 goals-against average. João Klauss has 1st career MLS hat trick for St. Louis in 3-3 tie with Galaxy
ST. LOUIS -- João Klauss scored three goals — the first hat trick in club history and the 28-year-old's first in MLS — the last of which came in the fifth minute of stoppage time for St. Louis City on Saturday in a 3-3 tie with the LA Galaxy. Goalkeeper Roman Bürki played a free kick from beyond midfield to the edge of the box where Timo Baumgartl flicked a header toward goal. Klauss ran onto the ball at the right edge of the 6-yard box and slipped a first-touch shot inside the back post to cap the scoring. St. Louis (3-9-6) has one win — a 2-1 victory over San Jose on May 31 — in its last 14 games. Klauss near the left corner of the area, played a short pass to Marcel Hartel and darted toward goal as Hartel tapped it back to Klauss for a rolling finish from the edge of the 6-yard box to give St. Louis a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute. Gabriel Pec scored his second goal of the season and his first since March 2 to tie it at 1-1 in the 41st. Pec put away a one-touch finish off a centering pass played by Marco Reus from the right side of the area. Pec stole a misplayed back-pass after St. Louis defender Jayden Reid slipped and fell and then cut back to evade Bürki, who had charged off his line, before casually rolling a shot into a wide-open net to give LA a 3-2 lead in the 87th.
