Shameless star and Everton manager to be honoured at Windsor Castle

Bafta-winning Shameless actor Anne-Marie Duff and Everton manager David Moyes will be honoured by the Prince of Wales at a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday. The pair will both be formally made Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to drama and Association Football respectively. They were named in the New Year Honours list. In 2024, Ms Duff, 54, won a best supporting actress Bafta for her lead role as Grace Williams in Apple TV's comedy series Bad Sisters. She also secured awards for playing eldest daughter Fiona Gallagher in Channel 4's Bafta-winning show Shameless. The comedy drama followed a dysfunctional working-class family living on the fictional Chatsworth council estate in Manchester with an alcoholic father. Former Celtic and Preston centre-back player Mr Moyes, 62, went on to manage Manchester United and West Ham. The Glaswegian managed Everton from 2002 to 2013 and returned to the job this year. Chief executive of fashion giant Chanel, Leena Nair, 55, will also be made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). The British-Indian national became the first female, first Asian, and youngest ever chief human resources officer at consumer goods multinational Unilever. A museum manager on the remote South Atlantic island of South Georgia will be awarded the Polar Medal for her work. Sarah Lurcock is the director of the heritage trust on the subantarctic British overseas territory. It is around 800 miles (1,287km) south-east of the Falkland Islands and has no permanent residents. An artist from St Lucia, Sir Llewellyn Xavier, is to be formally knighted for services to community infrastructure and development on the island. England national team footballer Millie Bright was made an OBE for services to Association Football but will not now be attending Wednesday's ceremony. The Chelsea defender underwent minor knee surgery last week, the day after she withdrew from the European Championship selection.

Ilona Maher and Sisters Shut Down Taylor Swift ‘Scammy' Claims

Ilona Maher and Sisters Shut Down Taylor Swift 'Scammy' Claims originally appeared on Parade. U.S. rugby star and Olympian Ilona Maher and her sisters Olivia and Adrianna are not here for the Swiftie skepticism. On this week's episode of their podcast House of Maher, the trio dove headfirst into the cultural firestorm surrounding Taylor Swift's long-awaited victory of reclaiming ownership of her music. After a years-long public feud with Scooter Braun — who bought the rights to her first six albums in 2019 when his company acquired Big Machine Records from Scott Borchetta — Swift now owns everything. 'Very good. Happy for her,' said Ilona, 28. 'All my respect to T-Swift. All of it.' The sisters weren't just supportive. They were stunned that anyone could view Swift's move as controversial. 'I think the touch grass element of this is that people called this move 'scammy' by her,' Olivia said. 'That it was scammy for her to do, which I'm like, what are you talking about?' Added Adrianna, 'Because she had her 'Taylor's versions.' They're saying that she made so much money off of releasing 'Taylor's versions' of her stolen albums, that her buying them back is 'scammy' because other people bought those bodies of work.' To recap: When Braun's Ithaca Holdings purchased Swift's master recordings — spanning Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation — Swift vowed to re-record the albums herself. The result was a series of 'Taylor's Versions' that not only reasserted her creative control but reshaped the music industry playbook for artists fighting to own their work. Then, on May 30, Swift announced that it was all hers. 'I've been bursting into tears of joy at random intervals ever since I found out that this is really happening. I really get to say these words: All of the music I've ever made... now belongs... to me,' Swift wrote on her website. 'And all my music videos. All the concert films. The album art and photography. The unreleased songs. The memories. The magic. The madness. Every single era. My entire life's work." For Olivia, that legacy now lives in stereo. 'Now there are two beautiful bodies of work,' she said. 'Because those versions are slightly different.' Ilona, not (yet) a full-on Swiftie, is ready to make the leap. 'I have a lot of respect for her,' she said. 'I listen to a little bit of everything. I want to get on the Taylor Swift bandwagon because people who love her, love her.' Ilona Maher and Sisters Shut Down Taylor Swift 'Scammy' Claims first appeared on Parade on Jun 10, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 10, 2025, where it first appeared.

Miley Cyrus, Parker Posey, Riley Keough & More Celebrate ‘Through Her Lens' With Chanel and Tribeca

On Friday afternoon, a Chanel-heavy crowd gathered against a leafy green backdrop on the corner outside of Locanda Verde in Tribeca, as neighbors crossed over straining to get a look. The commotion was in honor of the annual Chanel and Tribeca 'Through Her Lens' luncheon, celebrating the Tribeca Chanel Women's Filmmaker Program, now in its 10th year. Miley Cyrus, who has been in town promoting her new album 'Something Beautiful,' was especially excited about the Tribeca film 'My Mom Jayne,' directed by Mariska Hargitay, about her late mother, Jayne Mansfield. 'The critique of her career for embracing her sensuality and her sexuality, and I know that she was banned from movie theaters and was shunned for feeling her sexuality, and I have experienced that in my life as well. And so I've always just really admired her for what she means to culture so many years later.' Cyrus was head to toe in black Chanel, wearing look 55 from the Metier d'Art 2024/2025 collection. While the singer has worn the brand many times over her career, she has a soft spot for some of her earlier pieces. 'My personal gifts from Karl [Lagerfeld]. When Karl was here, he said 'You're one of the ones that buys, not borrows,' so he brought me a lot of gifts,' Cyrus said of her Chanel favorites. Lucy Liu was just a few hours away from the Tribeca premiere of her film 'Rosemead.' 'I am so excited, and very nervous, but really anxious to get this in front of an audience and have them absorb it and have something like this as a voice,' she said. Carrie Coon looked effortlessly cool in a large pair of Chanel shades, a leather jacket and gray jeans. Between her 'White Lotus' character Laurie and her 'Gilded Age' character Bertha, she said that Bertha would be much more at home at a Chanel luncheon. 'Well Laurie would get drunk and would make a scene,' Coon said. 'Bertha would know exactly how to conduct herself. And know who to talk to.' 'The Gilded Age,' which will screen for an event during Tribeca, returns with its third season later in June. 'We've dispensed with all of the exposition and now it's just quick storytelling. There is a lot of action this year. And of course I have a whole new closet that I get to wear,' Coon said. 'Honestly, my sneaky favorite things are the robes that I get to wear in my bedroom. Not only are they comfortable but they're always gorgeous — though the train makes acting with me very challenging, if you walk behind me.' Other guests included Parker Posey, who waved her white feathered Chanel cape in the breeze as she posed for photos; Hargitay, who chatted with Cyrus on the carpet; Riley Keough, Olivia Munn, Beanie Feldstein, Zosia Mamet, Annie Murphy, Lola Tung, Whitney Peak, Gracie Lawrence, Fina Strazza, Misty Copeland, Jurnee Smollett, Justine Lupe, Rachel Hilson and more. While passed plates, remarks and cocktails awaited inside, Keough was most excited about all the conversations that awaited her throughout the festival. 'I'm really excited to screen our little film and talk to filmmakers and aspiring filmmakers,' she said. 'I love those conversations.'
