A WOODED area has been sealed off amid the search for a missing Scottish teenager.
Cops have cordoned off the scene on Merchiston Road in Falkirk.

Police tape has been placed around the trees and a police car is parked along the canal path.
More cordons have been set up on the other side of the woods along the A9, with more officers guarding the scene.
The incident in the woodland is currently not known.
It comes amid an ongoing search for a missing teenager in the area.
Cole Cooper, 19, went missing from Falkirk over a week ago.
The teen, from Banknock, had been to the First Down pub in Denny on Saturday May 3 before heading to a party at a friend's house around 3am.
He last spoke with a friend around 6am on Sunday May 4 before going missing and hasn't been in contact with his family since.
This was the same time he was spotted on CCTV in Longcroft.
The last known sighting of Cole was on May 7, when an associate saw him on Glasgow Road, Longcroft.
He was officially reported missing on May 9.

A major search has been launched with specialist resources called in to help find him.
Cops are growing "increasingly concerned" for him.
They issued a description of Cole in the hopes someone can come forward with information on his whereabouts.

Inspector Neil Wotherspoon, Falkirk Police Office, said: 'We are increasingly concerned for Cole's welfare and have carried out extensive enquiries in the area with specialist resources.
"We would ask anyone who has seen him, or knows where he might be to get in touch. I would also like to appeal to Cole himself to contact family, friends or our officers.
'Anyone with information about Cole's whereabouts should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 828 of 9 May 2025.'
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.

More funding to tackle youth violence in Scotland announced amid Record campaign
The Record launched the Our Kids ... Our Future campaign in February 2023 after we highlighted a worrying trend of violence among teens. More funding has been announced to tackle youth violence in Scotland after a Daily Record campaign to combat the issue. The Scottish Government confirmed it would be investing an additional £82,000 in the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit (SVRU) this year. The move comes amid the Record's applauded youth violence campaign, Our Kids ... Our Future, which was launched two years ago after we highlighted a worrying trend of violence among teens. As part of the campaign, we have repeatedly called on the Scottish Government to invest in youth clubs and in other ways to help young people as the epidemic unfortunately shows no signs of stopping in Scotland. The cash injection comes as part of a Scottish Government package to tackle violence. It takes funding for the year to £1.217 million - an increase of 7%. Medics Against Violence have also received increased funding of up to £345,000 to deliver a range of activities. A further £156,000 has also been awarded to the Mentors in Violence Prevention programme. The Record launched Our Kids ... Our Future in February 2023 after we reported the shocking assault of autistic schoolgirl Abbie Jarvis at a skatepark in Glasgow on October 4, 2022. Abbie, then 12, was lured to the facility in the city's Drumchapel and beaten unconscious in an attack which left her in hospital for two days. She has since been diagnosed with PTSD. Abbie's attack prompted many other parents of child victims to speak out about scenes of youth violence in Scotland, including Vicky Donald, whose 15-year-old daughter was battered on her way home from school in Ladybank in Fife just weeks later. Since its launch, the Record has reported on three blade tragedies including the untimely deaths of 16-year-old Kory McCrimmon on May 31, 2024, Amen Teklay, 15, on March 5 this year and Kayden Moy, 16, on May 17 just last month. Three teenage boys aged 14, 15, and 16 have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Amen, an Eritrean refugee, in Glasgow's Maryhill. In recent weeks, three teenage boys – a pair aged 17 and a 14-year-old – have appeared in court charged with the murder of Kayden, who was allegedly attacked on Irvine Beach in North Ayrshire, and died in hospital. And just last month, a 14-year-old boy was sentenced to five years detention after admitting culpable homicide following the death of Kory at Glasgow's Greenfield Park last year. The mum of a schoolgirl who was brutally battered on a school bus has begged "this cannot be another talking shop" after John Swinney announced a third summit on youth violence. Vicky Donald's 15-year-old daughter, Kaylynn, was attacked during the journey on her way home from class in Ladybank, Fife, two years ago. Since then she has called for urgent action as a youth violence epidemic grips Scotland. The latest summit, and her renewed plea, comes in the wake of three blade tragedies in the last 12 months, including the deaths of 16-year-old Kory McCrimmon on May 31, 2024, Amen Teklay, 15, on March 5 this year and Kayden Moy, 16, on May 17 just last month. All three deaths have taken place amid the Record's youth violence campaign, Our Kids ... Our Future, which launched two years ago after we highlighted a concerning series of attacks on teens. The emergency event will hear from the Justice and Education Secretaries, Ministers for Children and for Victims and Community Safety, as well as cross-party MSPs, youth workers and partners delivering violence reduction and other community programmes for young people. The gathering is expected to focus on actions through education and community engagement with young people at risk of violence and prevent them from turning to antisocial behaviour or crime - including carrying a weapon. It is the third event of its kind after similar summits were held in September 2023 and in January. During the most recent event, Vicky, Kaylynn, other victims and their families met with Swinney at St Andrew's House in Edinburgh to tell them how their attacks had impacted their lives. The sit-down was secured after Kaylynn - who was left requiring mental health support following her beating in October 2022 - demanded the First Minister to act urgently to prevent further tragedies. The family wrote to Swinney again after Kayden's death last month and slammed his government's "inaction" to combat youth violence. Vicky said: "My daughter and others already gave their time, their pain, and their voices at the last summit. They told the truth. "And what happened? More promises, more headlines—and no real change. It's become clear that this government hides behind words, summits, and staged concern. "While young people continue to suffer and communities live in fear, the First Minister offers talk instead of action. We don't need more polished statements—we need bold, immediate steps to make our streets safer. "After this, the Scottish Government simply cannot hold any more summits. "They've now heard from teachers, experts, victims and their families so by now, they should have a good picture of how bad the issue of youth violence is. "Until action is taken, all this is just theatre." Pedestrian in hospital after hit-and-run involving SUV in Scots town
Cops say the silver older-style SUV involved in the collision drove off. A man is in hospital after he was struck by an SUV in a hit-and-run in a Scots town. Emergency services raced to the incident on Park Road in Port Seton, East Lothian, at 1.20am on Sunday. Police and paramedics attended and the pedestrian, a 43-year-old man, was found injured. He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. His current condition is unknown. Detectives are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Particularly, they want those with dash-cam or CCTV footage to come forward. Detective Sergeant Garry Mauran said: "Our inquiries are at an early stage to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and trace the driver and the car involved. "If you witnessed this take place or saw a silver car being driven erratically in the Port Seton area, please contact us. "Anyone in the area is asked to check their dashcam or personal footage and contact us if it holds anything that may be relevant to our investigation." Information should be passed to Police Scotland by phoning 101 quoting incident number 0264 of 8 June.
