Superman fans all saying the same thing about new trailer and it has nothing to do with the action
The first official trailer of the Superman reboot has been released and fans seemed to be most excited by a rather unconventional scene.
The James Gunn directed film - which released a teaser in December - could be seen in a new three-minute clip which begins with an interview between Clark Kent AKA Superman (David Corenswet) and Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan).
Though it was a clip of two characters alone in a room performing dialogue, fans couldn't help but be riveted by the scene despite no action or CGI.
Fans reacted generally positively to the new clip as many took to X (formally Twitter) to praise the chemistry between the talented Corenswet and Brosnahan specifically from the opening scene.
One X poster wrote: 'Starting your big Superman superhero trailer with two people talking in a room while having insane chemistry. Is superhero cinema back?'
Another said: 'Even if I'm not completely sold on the visual aesthetics, James Gunn seems to nail the characterization of Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane. David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan so easily slip into their roles. Their chemistry was my favorite part of the trailer.'
Many praised David's acting ability - specifically the way his voice changes from Clark Kent to Superman - and were happy to see that director Gunn, 58, decided to show a more vulnerable side of the Man of Steel.
One X user posted: 'Am I the only one who thinks it's cool how David vocally switches between being Clark Kent & Superman?'
Another said: 'bro i f***ing love how Clark seems like a real and genuine person with emotions again [crying emoji] #Superman.'
In the scene Lois interviews Clark as Superman in what many comic book fans would consider a bold move.
Clark begins the interview by upping the charm, however, things quickly start taking a turn as Lois presses him about his rogue decision to get involved in a war which the US government is not happy about.
He gets visibly frustrated by journalist Lois' line of hard questioning in asking why he didn't consult with the US president despite 'acting' like a representative of the US before Clark begins yelling: 'I wasn't representing anybody except for me... and doing good.'
'I would question myself in the same situation and consider the consequences,' Lois says before Clark shouts: 'People were going to die!'
Fans were also excited to see characters from the DC Comics universe including Guy Gardner/ Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), The Engineer (María Gabriela de Faría), and of course Superman's superdog Krypto.

Of course the most intriguing villain of all is the megalomaniacal Lex Luthor (Nicolas Hoult) who is seen yelling and shaking with anger toward the end of the clip.
Other characters include journalist Jimmy Olsen (Skyler Gisondo), baddie Metamorpho (Anthony Carrigan), and Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi).
Later on in the trailer supervillain Luthor suggest that Superman is not a man at all but an 'it' and he is upset that the Man of Steel has 'somehow become the focal point of the entire world's conversation.'
Corenswet joins a long line of actors who have played the Man of Steel on the big screen, dating back to a 1948 film serial starring Kirk Alyn.
George Reeves starred in the first Superman feature film in 1951, but Christopher Reeve played the first true big-screen/major studio Man of Steel in 1978's Superman.
He went on to reprise the role in Superman II, Superman III and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, before parting ways with the franchise.
Reeve's life was turned upside down in 1995 when he was paralyzed from the neck down following an equestrian accident.
The Remains Of The Day actor slipped into a coma in October 2004 and died less than a day later at just 52 years old.
Since then, Brandon Routh has played Superman in 2006's Superman Returns and Henry Cavill took up the mantle in 2013's Man Of Steel, 2016's Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017's Justice League.
Unlike most Superman films, the upcoming Superman will eschew the traditional 'origin story' and instead focus on the character in his mid-20s.
The film will kick off Gunn and DC Studios co-chairman Peter Safran's new franchise, followed by Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which is set for release on June 26, 2026.
Superman - directed by James Gunn - is set for release around the world on July 11.

The family has requested privacy during this time.' His shock passing came just six months after the frail star was seen being wheeled out of an California dialysis clinic and 32 years to the day that the Cheers finale aired.
