Miami bounces back to defeat Louisville 9-6 and force Game 3 of their super regional

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Renzon Gonzalez drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning, Daniel Cuvet added a three-run home run in the eighth and Miami defeated Louisville 9-6 on Saturday to even the Louisville Super Regional at a game apiece.
In the seventh, Dorian Gonzalez Jr. doubled to lead off the inning and later scored the go-ahead run on a single by Renzo Gonzalez for a 6-5 Miami lead. Cuvet's one-out home run to left made it 9-5 in the eighth.
Louisville scored a run in the ninth on a single by Lucas Moore and the Cardinals had runners on first and second with nobody out before Brian Walters retired the next three batters.
Game 3 is set for Sunday with the winner advancing to the College World Series. Miami has 25 previous appearances in the CWS and Louisville has made it five times.
Louisville took a 3-1 lead in the third inning when Zion Rose singled for one run and Eddie King Jr. belted a two-run home run.
Jake Munroe, who hit two home runs in Louisville's 8-1 win on Friday, hit a solo shot in the fourth for a 4-1 lead.
Miami took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the fourth when Jake Kulikowski drove in a run with a single and Jake Ogden added a three-run home run. All four runs were unearned.
King's solo home run in the seventh tied it at 5-all, then Gonzalez and Gonzalez came through for Miami in the bottom of the inning. Cuvet made it a four-run cushion in the eighth.
Carson Fischer (5-1) pitched 3 1/3 innings, allowing one run. Walters picked up his 11th save, allowing one run in two innings.
Jack Brown (5-5) took the loss.

UFC fans went wild for Trump and held mobile devices in their outstretched arms to snap pictures of him. Trump arrived in time for the start of a card set to include two championship fights. Julianna Pena and Merab Dvalishvili were scheduled to each defend their 135-pound championships. Associated Press LOS ANGELES (AP) — Michael Barnett gave up two runs in six innings, Roman Martin had three RBIs for UCLA and the Bruins rallied to beat UTSA 5-2 on Saturday at the Los Angeles Super Regional in the first-ever matchup between the teams. No. 15 national seed UCLA (46-16) can clinch a berth in the College World Series with a win Sunday in Game 2 of the best-of-three series. Barnett (12-1) gave up six hits with no walks. Jack O'Connor and August Souza each pitched a no-hit inning of relief before Easton Hawk had two strikeouts in a 1-2-3 ninth for his seventh save of the season. Payton Brennan, Cashel Duggar and Phoenix Call each hit a single off starter Zach Royse (9-5) to load the bases in the fourth inning before Brennan scored on Dean West's sacrifice fly to give the Bruins a 3-2 lead. Mason Lytle hit a home run to lead off the game and Caden Miller stole home in the second inning to give UTSA a 2-0 lead. West and Roch Cholowsky hit back-to-back singles before Mulivai Velu drove in West with a double down and Cholowsky scored on a groundout by Martin to make it 2-2. Martin hit a two-out triple in the eighth that drove in two runs to make it 5-2. UCLA, the 2013 CWS champion, is hosting its first super regional since 2019. Ohio State, other teams to be compensated based on game usage in 'College Football 26' Not only is the game of college football undergoing seismic changes, but so too, apparently, is the popular EA Sports college football franchise. The game came back from a major ten-year hiatus last year with the release of "College Football 25." You can thank Name, Image and Likeness, and the ability to compensate individual players for the inclusion in the game for the renaissance, and we all celebrated. Now, as things evolve, it appears as though schools will be paid differently for their participation in "College Football 26." Players were already compensated last season and will continue to be so with an elevated amount this season. But for this year, teams won't get a fee based on tier levels from the AP's Top 25 poll, but instead the pay will be tied to how often each of the 136 teams in the game is used, at least according to a report from Matt Liberman. The next iteration of the game is set to be released on July 10, and if those reports are true, Ohio State should benefit greatly. Though raw numbers aren't available, the Buckeyes have arguably the biggest and most followed fanbase in the sport, and there's no doubt that there's a lot of Scarlet and Gray on video game screens across the video game universe. 'For each CFB product released by EA SPORTS, we (CLC Learfield) will provide a percentage for each institution based on the games played for that institution as a percentage of the total games played across all institutions," a document obtained by Liberman stated. "This percentage of games played will become the final allocation percentage for each school that will be applied to the total gross royalties for all institutions received.'
