Woman killed after large tree falls on her car while she's driving, PA police say

One person is dead and another was injured after a large tree fell on two vehicles in Pennsylvania.
Around 1:45 p.m. May 18, a 59-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Corolla and a 64-year-old woman was driving a Nissan Altima westbound on a road in Lower Merion Township, according to a police report.
A 'large' tree fell onto the road and struck both vehicles, police said.
The 59-year-old woman was seriously injured and died at a hospital, according to police.
The other driver was also taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition.
'It's just kind of a freak accident. It's hard to kind of know, especially on main thoroughfares like Lancaster Avenue,' Patrick Glynn, the deputy chief of operations for Narberth Ambulance, told WPVI. 'It happens more frequently than people think.'
Winds reached 35 mph May 18 in Lower Merion Township, according to Weather Underground.
Police have not released the name of the woman who died.

Police did not share any additional information, but according to ABC affiliate WPVI, there were reports of shots fired at the time outside of the police station on the 1200 block of Black Rock Road. On Tuesday, June 3, the police announced that its station is closed for the day 'to allow our officers time to mourn." The department went on to add that mutual aid officers from partner agencies in Montgomery County will patrol the township for the next few days. 'We appreciate the continued support from the community and our mutual aid partners,' the police concluded. PEOPLE contacted the township's administration for comment. When Harris stepped out of the vehicle, Sumner County officials said that drug paraphernalia fell from beneath him. DENVER (KDVR) — A man is dead following a crash Monday afternoon in Aurora. According to a report from the Aurora Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of East 6th Avenue and Moline Street just after 2 p.m. after a 911 caller reported a crash. The police department said a man who was driving one of the vehicles was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but died shortly after arrival.
