Who is Arturo Gamboa, man allegedly responsible for killing demonstrator during 'No Kings' protest rally in Utah?

Law enforcement officers have taken into custody the man allegedly responsible for shooting and killing a demonstrator, during the 'No Kings' protest rally in Utah on June 14.
Protestors had gathered in large numbers across the country on June 14 to protest against Donald Trump's immigration policies, but little did they know that one of the demonstrators would have to lose their life in the ongoing protest.
Arturo Gamboa, is a 24-year-old man, who is believed to be a part of the peacekeeping team of the 'No Kings' protest. There is still no clue as to why he suddenly pulled out his rifle and allegedly shot a demonstrator during the ongoing rally. According to police authorities, Gamboa was responsible for creating the dangerous situation that led to bystander Arthur Folasa Ah Loo's death. Ah Loo succumbed in the hospital to the fatal shot by Gamboa, according to authorities.
Gamboa was reportedly treated at a hospital for his injuries and then sent to the Salt Lake County Metro Jail, and has been booked for a murder charge.
When the gunshots went off, it sent dozens of protestors running in different directions, some hiding behind barriers, while some fled into parking garages and nearby businesses, police said in an official statement.
'That's a gun. Come on, come on, get out," someone can be heard saying in a video posted to social media that appears to show the events, reads an AP report.
The Utah chapter of the 50501 Movement, which helped organize the protests of June 14, said in an official statement on Instagram that they condemned the violence.
'The Utah chapter did not immediately respond to AP questions about the peacekeeping team. It was unclear who hired them, whether they were volunteers or what their training was prior to the event,' the AP report says about the background of the peacekeeping team that Gamboa was believed to be a part of.

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy stripped of Legion of Honor medal over graft

File photo: Nicolas Sarkozy (AP) PARIS: France's former President Nicolas Sarkozy has been stripped of his Legion of Honor medal after being convicted last year of corruption and influence peddling while he was the country's head of state, it was announced on Sunday. The decision was made via a decree released in the Journal Officiel that publishes the govt's major legal information. It comes in line with the rules of the Legion of Honor. The conservative politician, who was president from 2007 to 2012, has been at the heart of a series of legal cases since leaving office. He was found guilty of corruption and influence peddling by both a Paris court in 2021 and an appeals court in 2023 for trying to bribe a magistrate in exchange for information about a legal case in which he was implicated. He was sentenced to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet for one year, a verdict upheld by France's highest court, the Court of Cassation, in December. Earlier this year, Sarkozy stood trial over allegations he received millions of dollars from Libya for his successful presidential campaign in 2007. He denies the claims. Prosecutors requested a 7-year prison sentence. The verdict is expected in September. Sarkozy becomes the second former head of state to be stripped of the Legion of Honor - France's highest distinction - after Nazi collaborator Philippe Petain, who was convicted in 1945 for treason. Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein was stripped of his Legion of Honor award in the wake of misconduct allegations against him in 2017. Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong also had his award revoked.

Israel-Iran tensions: Over 230 killed; Trump foils Tel Aviv's plan to assassinate Khamenei

Israel and Iran traded air strikes for a third consecutive day after Tel Aviv launched a massive surprise attack on Tehran that killed its top military officials, senior scientists and more than 60 civilians, including 20 children on June 13. Israel's renewed attacks on Iran on Saturday struck the country's oil reserves and hit population centres in Tehran, raising the death toll to 224, which included the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)'s intelligence organisation, Mohammad Kazemi, and two other generals. Iran has retaliated with missile attacks, hitting the center of Tel Aviv and causing havoc in residential suburbs, killing 14 people and wounding 390 others. Israel has said that the attacks were pre-emtive to stop Iran from developing a nuclear program. Israel is the sole but undeclared nuclear-armed state in the Middle East. The surprise attacks came days before scheduled talks between U.S. and Iran on the future of Tehran's nuclear program, which has been cancelled in the wake of Israeli strikes. Trump nixed Israel's plans to assassinate Khamenei: US official In an indication of how far Israel was seemingly prepared to go in its recent conflict with Iran, a U.S. official told The Associated Press that President Donald Trump nixed Tel Aviv's plan to kill Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who serves as commander-in-chief of the armed forces and controls the powerful Revolutionary Guard. Trump calls for a deal between Iran, Israel; says US 'not involved' at the moment US President Donald Trump on Sunday called on Iran and Israel to "make a deal," and stressed he would be able to mediate talks between the warring sides. The statement came hours after in a post on his social media platform Truth Social, he sought to distance US from Israel's attacks on Iran. "The U.S. had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight. If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before. However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!" he wrote.
