Dunelm's 'cheerful' gingham summer bedding is so good people are buying more than one set

The lightweight duvet set comes in a range of colours and it's had a price drop too just in time for the warmer weather With summer just around the corner, it's time to ditch the winter bedding and give way to something lighter and brighter in anticipation of some good weather and warmer nights. Dunelm has a range of gingham bedding that is perfect to update your bedroom's aesthetic. It's Portloe Woven Gingham Duvet Cover & Pillowcase Set comes in nine colour schemes so you'll have no trouble finding one to match your room. And it's been given a price reduction too just ahead of the summer months. ‌ It's currently on sale for £28.80 for the double set instead of it's original price of £36. The king size set is £33.60, reduced from £42 if you have a bigger bed to furnish. ‌ In the colour ochre, it screams sunshine but this stand-out set is also available in black for the monochrome lovers, blush and orchid for a girly theme and a range of blue tones including Ashley and Folkstone. Gingham bed sets are readily available at this time of year as the pattern is the epitome of summer for home interiors. Dusk has the Gabriella Gingham 100% Cotton Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set in the hue natural on sale for £34, down from £75.00. Meanwhile, Next's scalloped edge set is made by furn and comes in two colourways, pink and green. It's on sale for £36 on the Next website. ‌ Dunelm's Portloe set has had rave reviews from happy buyers. Some are so impressed they're buying multiple sets. With 243 reviews on Dunelm's site and a 4.5 out of 5 star rating, customers are thrilled with the quality and the look of the bedding. One said: "I love it. Its really great quality. I already own the green set for my double bed. Ordered the yellow for my spare room. Looks really cheerful. Washes well, no complaints." ‌ While another was planning on buying again. They said: "Amazing quality, feels soft against skin, rich colour, definitely going to buy another set." And another fan raved: "I purchased the green in bedding and matching curtains for our guest room and loved it so much that I purchased the black for our bedroom too. It looks amazing, washes well and is extremely comfortable to sleep in plus gingham is always so welcoming to look at." One customer said: "Gorgeous colours, lovely gingham texture, cotton fresh. I bought the yellow and it's a burst of sunshine!" ‌ And another happy shopper called it the 'gingham set of dreams' and added: "The colour is such a pretty shade of pink, and the fabric is so soft and comfortable. This is budget friendly and to be honest looks like it cost a lot more!" Some customers were disappointed in the fabric, however. One said: "Don't buy this set unless you are a fan of either a crumpled bed or of serious ironing. I fully expected to have to run an iron over it, after washing it, but this was hard work. " And another found the dimensions were too big for her duvet saying: "Duvet cover too big for our duvet which is such a shame. It looks nice but cut too big for a king size duvet so lots of excess cover."

‘I NEED that bag!' fashion fans yell about Next's fruity new accessory as they praise store's ‘insane' summer collection

A GOOD bag has the power to elevate any ordinary outfit into something extra special. So it comes as no surprise that fashion fans are racing to their nearest Next, in a bid to get their hands on one of the stunning new lemon handbags. 6 6 6 6 The store shared some of its favourite summer items in a picture slideshow on TikTok. "Psssttt - wanna see some of our fave accessories for summer?" they wrote over the top of the first snap. They then showed off the bag in question - a gorgeous beaded bright yellow number designed to look like a segment of lemon. "They need no introduction," they wrote over the picture. The £55 beaded bag also comes in an equally cute watermelon design. And it was clear the bag is going to be a sought after accessory this summer, judging by the hundreds of people commenting on the TikTok. "Neeeed that lemon bag," one wrote. "We love the lemon and watermelon bags, Next!" another praised. "Fruitylicious on the beach." "The lemon bag is going on the wishlist!" a third gushed. The summer trend dividing style queens - some call it a 'girl's best friend' but it brings back bad memories for others "Obsessed, beaded heaven," someone else said. "Sold. God sakes!" another joked. Other items included in the picture slideshow were a gorgeous shell necklace, which was paired with a green co-ord. And there are a fair few bags to choose from in store at the moment too. Like the "perfect summer beach bag" - a stunning cream option with tassels and intricate crochet detailing. Cow print is also a big trend this summer, with a neck scarf coming in the pattern to "elevate any outfit". Hottest fashion trends of 2025 Fabulous' Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend shares the biggest trends from the high street. The East/West Bag Baguette bags have had a good run, after returning from the 1990s' shoulders of Sarah Jessica Parker to modern-day fashion icons, like Hailey Bieber. In 2025, the East/West bag is a similar but elongated shape and has long, thin straps that are easy to throw over your shoulder. They've been on runway models' arms at nearly ever designer show - think Burberry, Givenchy and Bottega Veneta - and are hitting the high street now, too. Powder pink Bright fuchsia pink had its day after the release of Barbie in 2023 and now the more polished and expensive-looking pale shade is taking over for 2025. Pantone may say that it's the year of Mocha Mousse, but the catwalks say otherwise! From Prada to Erdem, the subtle look was all over the spring/summer catwalks, worn head-to-toe or on its own. If the sugary shade is too girly for you, then look to sharp suiting for a androgynous take on the colour. The shell jacket The '80s classic is back, but with a sleek and minimal new twist for 2025. We all know we're likely to see rain for most of spring, so your practical coat of choice should be a cagoule jacket. Depop revealed one of its big trend predictions for this year is retro sportswear, with surges already seen in '80s windbreakers'. Seen everywhere from the stylish streets of Copenhagen to the Miu Miu catwalk, now mums who have an emergency raincoat crumpled underneath their pushchair are very much in fashion! The turn-up jeans While the shape of jeans remains the same for this year and barrel-legs will still be everywhere, the way we're styling them is different. This season, transform your wide-leg, baggy denims into turn-ups. For this look, size doesn't matter, so while deep turn-ups are a hit from jean trend-leaders Citizens of Humanity, a slight fold is still just as good - but only as it's just one single fold. Peep-toe shoe Get your pedicures booked in sharpish, as this season your toes are the main event. After a long hiatus, the peep-toe has been welcomed back into the fashion fold, with brands like Hermes, Miu Miu and Tory Burch showing plain and embellished footwear in this style. From mules to pumps and clogs (yes, clogs will be around too!), there are lots of different styles that are set to sweep the high street. Sheer blouses See-through looks have always lived on the catwalk, but have rarely filtered into everyday life - until now. Designers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford loved sheer looks on their S/S '25 catwalks and M&S even had sellout success with its black sheer pencil skirt last season. Expect to see more sheer looks lining supermarket aisles and high street shops in the form of skirts, tops and frocks. And there are even lace-up cow print loafers - sure to divide style fans. Fruit continues to be a big theme, with a red bag featuring miniature strawberries on it. The comments section was once again filled with people praising Next for the epic offerings, with one insisting: "Omg need it all!" "Next have excelled this summer," another added. "I fear Next is eating the other high street shops up atm???????" a third mused. "Erm ok slay!!!!!!!!" someone else commented. "Your summer pieces are insane!" another mused. While someone else said they "can't afford this". "Next is doing so good this season!" someone else concluded. 6 6
