Vue Lumière Acquires Benedict Cumberbatch Flick ‘The Thing With Feathers'
Vue Lumière has picked up The Thing with Feathers starring Benedict Cumberbatch for the UK and Ireland.
Vue Lumière, the distribution arm of exhibition company Vue, acquired the film from mk2. The company has said it plans to release the film in cinemas across the UK and Ireland later this year.

The Thing with Feathers had its world premiere at Sundance earlier this year, then went on to play as a Special Gala at the 75th Berlinale. It is based on the bestselling book by Max Porter, published by Faber, and stars Cumberbatch as a grieving father of two young boys who loses his wife very suddenly.
Written and directed by Dylan Southern, best known for his music documentaries Meet Me in the Bathroom, Shut Up and Play the Hits and the upcoming untitled Oasis project, it is produced by Adam Ackland and Leah Clarke for SunnyMarch (We Live in Time, The Mauritanian and the upcoming Roses) and Andrea Cornwell's Lobo Films (Love Lies Bleeding, Saint Maud).
The film was developed with Film4, who co-financed alongside the BFI and Align, in association with Uncommon Creative Studio, mk2 Films, and Rank and File, in co-production with Film i Väst and Filmgate Film. mk2 Films is handling international sales.
'We feel that The Thing with Feathers fully embodies what we are doing with Vue Lumière and what we want to say to audiences around cinema, storytelling, performance, creativity, and impact,' Eve Gabereau, Director of Distribution at Vue Lumière, said in a statement.
'Also, we are committed to and energised by working with the filmmaking teams and UK partners Film4 and BFI in a joined-up way for the widest possible release.'
Fionnuala Jamison, Managing Director of mk2 Films, added: 'We're very pleased to be partnering with Vue Lumière on their first major dramatic feature. It's a moving and distinctive film that we're proud to see embraced by such an ambitious new player in the UK market.'

Genesee Brew House brings back Mango Peach Kolsch with festivity
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Calling all Genny fans! Genesee Brew House unveiled 'Mango Peach Beach' to mark the return of Mango Peach Kolsch. The summer will include tropical themed food specials, live music, photo opportunities, and great beer. Mango Peach Beach will transport customers to a tropical paradise through Labor Day. Officials said last year's Tropical Oasis attracted more than 2,500 visitors. 'I figured after the spring that we've had here in Rochester, we all need a beach, right?,' Genesee Brew House Manager Carl Falk said. 5 Ways to Style the Capri Pants Trend in 2025
Like socks with sandals, white after Labor Day, or wearing brown and black together, capri pants are one of those fashion things that you either love or can't stand. If you're a fan, you'll be pumped to know that they're majorly back in style with many an influencer clamoring for a pair of petal pushers to post to the grid. The in-between, semi-awkward length has long been shunned in favor of "easier" styles like denim shorts and high-waisted jeans, but over the past few months, I've personally come around to the idea of a cheeky little calf reveal. Clearly, others are dying to show a little leg, too—Bella Hadid has been papped multiple times wearing capris with everything from flowy blouses to backless halter tops. And for those of you wondering, "how do you style capri pants in 2025?", I've taken it upon myself to prove to you that it's an ideal style for both air flow and summer styling, with plenty of inspo in tow. Feel free to take screenshots for later... Big Shirt Little Pants gang, this one's for you. Any oversized button-down shirt will do the trick, so thrift one from Goodwill, steal one from your dad, etc. Then layer it over a pair of tight capri pants and throw on an unexpected shoe, like a little slide or heel. It doesn't get easier than this! Who says a suit has to involve long pants? I certainly didn't. Lean into the cropped theme with a short blazer and some below-the-knee capris for a minimal slay with maximum impact. Take a page out of Bella Hadid's book (no, really, she was an early adopter of the trend and has worn numerous pairs) and take your capris to the clurb. Don a shiny lurex pair or even some sheer lace capris with your favorite heels and you'll be looking like a walking Pinterest board. If you're worried that your T-shirt and capri leggings combo is giving more YMCA energy than you were going for, a little Greased Lightning action (aka a leather jacket) will prevent that. Accessorizing with a heel and some sunglasses makes the outfit feel intentional! One of my favorite ways of putting together an outfit is to create a color sandwich. It's pretty self-explanatory—pick out a color scheme for your top and shoes, and then "sandwich" in your favorite bottoms for results that look something like this red and black look.
