Nintendo breaks records for selling the latest Switch 2: Nintendo's announcement of a record-breaking 3.5 million Switch 2 systems sold in the first four days of release has generated enthusiasm in the gaming community. This milestone marks the strongest launch in the franchise's history and smashes pre-order predictions.
The early performance of the Switch 2 indicates a tremendous resurgence as gamers around the world wait for the next generation of portable gaming. Nintendo has connected with both devoted fans and newbies with its distinctive fusion of home console strength and handheld mobility.
According to industry observers, this has the potential to reshape market trends and exert pressure on rivals in the rapidly expanding mobile-console hybrid market. This debut has already made headlines for investors and players alike.
About Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo has concentrated on creating, producing, and marketing its game systems and software since the Family Computer (Famicom) system was first released in Japan in 1983 and has continued to do so through the Nintendo Switch 2. Over 5.9 billion video games and over 860 million hardware units have been sold by Nintendo worldwide to date.
The Nintendo Switch 2 boasts a faster processor that enhances graphics and gameplay performance, a larger, more vibrant screen that can display in full 1080p HD (and 4K when connected to a compatible TV or monitor), and redesigned magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers with mouse functionality.
These features not only improve the gaming experience but also demonstrate Nintendo's commitment to innovation and user experience. In addition, the system introduces the new GameChat2 function, which allows users to share game screens and have audio or video chats with friends, fostering a sense of community and social interaction in the gaming world.
Nintendo Switch 2 games

How much did the Nintendo Switch 2 sell in just 4 days?

The Switch 2 is an improvement over Nintendo's popular Switch console, with a larger screen and increased processing power. In just four days, Nintendo Co. sold more than 3.5 million Switch 2s, setting a new record for the company's first new system in eight years. To be precise, 3.5 million units sold in just 4 days which makes it 875,000 units per day. Which makes it a $1,574,965,000 amount.
The business announced the figures on Wednesday, and they are encouraging its goal of selling 15 million devices by March of next year. Additionally, they support experts' predictions that Nintendo might increase sales significantly if it can increase supply.
Last week, gamers from San Francisco to Tokyo waited for hours to get their hands on one of the year's most anticipated devices. The much-anticipated Switch 2 follows the worldwide success of the original Switch, which introduced a hybrid design that enables playback on a TV at home and while on the go.
To be precise, 3.5 million units sold in just 4 days which makes it 875,000 units per day. Which makes it a $1,574,965,000 amount.
Nintendo Switch 2 or PS 5: Which is the fastest-selling console?
According to the data, the Nintendo Switch 2 is the third-best console in terms of income, behind the PS5 and Xbox Series, and the fourth-best console in terms of units sold.
The Game Business provided NielsenIQ data that supports this.
The Switch 2's initial sales are reported to have exceeded the company's previous best-selling hardware launch, the 2010 Nintendo 3DS (113,000 units); however, no precise sales figure was disclosed.
Although it's important to remember that the Nintendo Switch had severe supply constraints in its first several months of release, NielsenIQ reports that Switch 2 outsold the first Nintendo Switch launch (80,000 units) "by more than two to one."
Compared to the original Nintendo Switch, which took a full month to sell 2.74 million units, the Nintendo Switch 2 sold over 3.5 million units worldwide in just four days. The Nintendo Switch 2 is now the fastest-selling video game console of any platform in history, which is even more intriguing and a significant possible milestone reached.
Between November 2020 and the end of the same year, the PlayStation 5 sold 4.5 million units, making it the fastest-selling Sony system ever. As a result, Nintendo has sold more than 75% of that amount in just four days. It makes sense that Sony would have sold fewer Switch 2s than 3.5 million if it had issued a four-day sales PR announcement as Nintendo did.
On the other hand, it is almost certain that the Switch 2 will sell more than 4.5 million units in only one month, let alone the two that are required to equal Sony's PS5 sales period.
Nintendo Switch 2 price
The Nintendo Switch 2 is currently offering a digital download of the whole Mario Kart World game for a suggested retail price of $499.99, in addition to the suggested retail price of $449.99.

Lounge Loves: Vodka sodas, a musical time machine and more
Afew weeks after my dog passed away, a gift mysteriously arrived in the mail. It was an adorable ceramic coffee cup featuring a dog with a scarf. My partner appropriated it from me and a short daily struggle ensued over who would use it first every day. Now we share Chef Puff, as he is named by The Strange Co., where the cup is from. Chef Puff is no longer available, but other objects with original and very cute characters are there, including dogs named Joy and Judy, and a chubby feline named Mr Chonk—some of which I have gifted to others. Chef Puff doesn't really look like my own dog, but sometimes while I'm furiously typing away on a busy day, if I glance over at Puff, I can't help but smile. It also helps that the cup is the perfect size, allowing me not to overdose on caffeine through the day. — Dakshayani Kumaramangalam It feels entirely fitting to write about this book in an issue where we look at Jane Austen's legacy 250 years after her birth. The Austen Playbook by Lucy Parker is an out-and-out romance between a London stage actor and a theatre critic against the backdrop of a play being staged that sounds deliciously intriguing—iconic characters from various Austen novels come together in one script that hinges on a murder mystery and is interactive to boot, with the audience getting to choose the course of the narrative and its outcome. The romance is nice and all, with zingy dialogue and tingly chemistry, but I wish the author had written the play instead (or at least included it as an appendix). Lydia Bennet as unhinged murderer? Oh yes. From vodka vixen to gin enthusiast, my drink preferences have evolved greatly since I was 21. I still adore Cosmopolitans and Resolute pink vodka, but I can't keep up with the hangovers. So I tried hard seltzers, for a light buzz akin to beer but without the calories and the bloat. The aftertaste of most seltzers was rather off-putting. Recently, I chanced upon Everyday Friday, a premixed vodka soda with 5% ABV, a nice change from a regular vodka cocktail's 40%. I like the peach lemonade flavour the best. They also have a cranberry lime and a cold brew caramel for the more adventurous palette. The brand's typography and design make my fridge shelf look so aesthetic. These days my work hours have me singing along loudly to songs playing out of my TV—from George Michael's Father Figure to Duran Duran's Come Undone and Britney Spears' Toxic. All thanks to Music Box Classic channel I discovered recently. The channel plays hits from the 1980s to the 2000s. Sweet, sweet nostalgia indeed. I don't know if there's an algorithm at the channel's HQ picking the songs but whoever's at the helm is doing a banging job. The hits come non-stop and in no particular order—Army Of Lovers' campy 1993 song La Plage de Saint Tropez is followed by Nelly Furtado's 2000 hit, I'm Like a Bird and 1979 Disco number, Boogie Wonderland by American band, Earth, Wind & Fire. From discovering less-known singers to the fashion of those years, the channel is my time machine to the good ol' times. — Mahalakshmi Prabhakaran

Doing so will reset the battery meter. If the issue still continues, it is suggested to perform a full charge-drain cycle. Here is how to perform it: Charge the console to 100% and leave it plugged in for an additional hour. Disconnect the charger and let the battery deplete naturally until the system shuts down. Repeat this process 2–3 times, as this will improve accuracy. 2. Update system software. Users need to ensure that their Switch 2 has the latest firmware. It is recommended to use Dark Mode , as OLED displays consume less power for black pixels. Shut all the background apps to avoid consuming resources in the background. Disable features like ' HD Rumble ' & ' Controller Vibration ', as these features consume a lot of energy. Disable HDR or 120 HZ as it consumes more power Use the built-in Power Saving mode with the above tips for best results.
