Man slashed with machete for car keys: cops
A man has been rushed to hospital after he was allegedly threatened and slashed with a machete by two men who demanded he hand over his car keys.
The man, 48, was in his vehicle on Audrey St in Camp Hill about 6am when the knife men, allegedly wielding knives, approached him.
The vehicle owner refused to hand over his keys and he was allegedly assaulted by the offenders, suffering lacerations to his arm and chest.
The offenders did not take the man's vehicle, but fled the scene in a stolen Kia Sorrento that was found abandoned nearby.
The Kia had ben stolen from Kangaroo Point overnight.
The injured man was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have asked anyone with dashcam or CCTV to contact police as investigations continue.

Lake Ave. robbery leads to chase and arrest, two RPD cars collide
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A robbery and police chase in Rochester led to an arrest and two police officers being hospitalized. Around 9:21 p.m. on Tuesday, a minor was in the area of Lake Avenue and Spencer Street when a white Kia pulled up next to him. The victim was pulled into the car, was punched, and had his cell phone taken from him before driving away. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A few minutes later, an officer found the suspected vehicle in the area of West Main Street and King Street. RPD tried to stop the car near Jefferson Avenue, but it did not stop, and a chase ensued. Officers were able to stop the car with a tire deflation device, which caused it to stop on South Plymouth Avenue. It was discovered that the car was stolen from Brighton, but it's unknown if the driver was the one who stole it. During the case, two RPD vehicles collided. Both officers in both cars were taken to the hospital with injuries and were released. 9-year-old suffers life-threatening injuries in electric scooter crash in northwest Las Vegas valley
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 9-year-old was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a crash involving an electric scooter in the northwest Las Vegas valley. On Tuesday around 10:20 a.m., police responded to the area of Cliff Shadows Parkway and Hickam Avenue after a report of a crash involving an electric scooter. Evidence at the scene, witness statements and dash camera footage showed that an electric scooter, being ridden by two children, was traveling eastbound on Hickam Avenue at the same time a Kia Sportage was traveling southbound on Cliff Shadows Parkway. The crash occurred when the children failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of the Kia. The scooter crashed into the Kia, causing both children to be ejected from the scooter, police said. Police said a 9-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries and an 11-year-old girl sustained minor injuries. Both children were taken to a local hospital for their injuries.
