YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Themus Fulks scored 21 points as Milwaukee beat Youngstown State 84-74 on Friday night.
Fulks had 10 assists for the Panthers (19-9, 12-5 Horizon League). AJ McKee scored 20 points while going 6 of 8 from the floor, including 4 for 4 from 3-point range, and 4 for 5 from the line and added five rebounds. Kentrell Pullian shot 4 for 5, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points.
Juwan Maxey led the Penguins (18-11, 12-6) in scoring, finishing with 29 points. Nico Galette added 12 points, six rebounds, six assists and two blocks for Youngstown State. Gabe Dynes had 10 points, six rebounds and five blocks.
Both teams next play Sunday. Milwaukee visits Robert Morris and Youngstown State plays Green Bay at home.

Key stat The Astros, who beat the Twins 3-2 on Cam Smith's walk-off single in the ninth on Saturday , have won five in a row and 16 of their last 22 to take a five-game lead over second-place Seattle in the AL West. Up next Houston's Lance McCullers Jr. (1-2, 4.91 ERA) takes the mound Monday to open a four-game series with the Athletics, who have not announced a starter. (AP) — The U.S. Open turned into a sprint through the soggy fairways of Oakmont on Sunday following a downpour that caused a delay of 1 hour, 37 minutes as Sam Burns tried to hold off Adam Scott for his first major. Heavy rain began to leave large puddles on the lightning-fast greens of Oakmont that caused a stoppage in the final round. Burns was at 2-under par — 2 over for the day — through seven holes, one shot ahead of Scott. They were the only players under par. J.J.
