A host of elite stars believe the tricky 18 in the heart of Pennsylvania would eat club golfers for breakfast.
Prior to this week's tournament, several Top 10 stars were asked what an 18-handicap club golfer would shoot around Oakmont.
Speaking to the PGA Tour in a viral clip, reigning champ Bryson DeChambeau said: "Ooh, probably 100."
He added quickly with a grin: "On the front nine."

Two-time major winner Justin Thomas agreed, questioning if the 18-handicapper would even finish.
Thomas added: "It's got to be 110 or 120."
English star Laurie Canter agreed and was adamant a rookie would not make it back to the clubhouse.
Canter said: "I'm not trying to wind people up, right, but it will.

"I'm certain they wouldn't finish. I'm not trying to be facetious and wind people up.
"But if they had to hit every golf shot, and they're going out with 12 balls, I don't know an 18 handicapper that finishes."

DeChambeu added: "I think everybody knows this is probably the toughest golf course in the world right now.
"You have to hit the fairways, you have to hit greens, and you have to two-putt, worst-case scenario.
"When you've got those putts inside 10 feet, you've got to make them. It's a great test of golf."

The best he can do is get it within a few feet before sinking it for double bogey - his first of the day! Disaster. Today 12:04 PM Rory settles the nerves with par, Lowry passes up on birdie The Down man's approach to the 14th green was okay - his second shot carried through and past the hole. His first putt attempt is very respectable which left the 36-year-old with a 4-footer. It was a difficult gradient but he took his time over it and made no mistake. Agonizing for Lowry who coughs up a great chance at birdie - it looked as if he left a bit much on it as it carried through on the left-hand lip on the hole. The Offaly man can only break even. The third fares no better as the gallery gasps - he's a long way from the pin and he's already on his fourth shot. Eventually, a six iron shot takes him to within 30 feet of the hole. Sky Sports forced to apologise for Shane Lowry language after surprise eagle
Sky Sports were forced to apologise after Shane Lowry's expletive after he surprised himself with a hole-out eagle. The Offaly man returns to Oakmont for the first time since 2016, where he heartbreakingly lost the US Open despite holding a four-shot lead going into the final round. It was a frustrating opening round for Lowry who struggled in tough conditions but did have a moment to cheer about with an unexpected eagle. Teeing off on the back nine to start the day, Lowry played his 12th hole, Oakmont's third hole, where he holed out from the middle of the fairway. Six over par to that point, an amused Lowry let out an expletive in relief,f which Sky Sports host Nick Dougherty apologised for. The eagle-eyed and sharp-hearing Sky Sports social media team made sure to clip the expletive out when posting the shot on social media. Much was made about the tough conditions coming into this major and Lowry felt the full effects of that in his opening nine holes as he made the turn four-over-par while playing partner Rory McIlroy was also in action and made the turn two-under-par but gave up a number of bogeys on the run in to slide down the leaderboard.

Matheus Cunha completes Manchester United move as Kevin De Bruyne joins Napoli
MANCHESTER UNITED HAVE confirmed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves on a five-year deal with the option of a further year. United effectively completed the deal on 1 June after activating a £62.5million [€73.37m] release clause in the 26-year old's contract. Cunha scored 31 goals in 76 appearances for Wolves after completing a permanent move from Atletico Madrid in 2023. Cunha said: 'It is hard to put into words my feelings about becoming a Manchester United player. 'Ever since I was a child in Brazil watching Premier League games on TV at my grandmother's house, United was my favourite English team and I dreamed of wearing the red shirt. 'I can't wait for the start of pre-season to get to know my teammates and prepare for the season ahead. 'All my focus is now on working hard to become a valuable part of the team, and helping get this club back to the top.' Cunha became Ruben Amorim's first summer signing on 1 June as the head coach sets about overhauling his squad after a miserable domestic campaign and a Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.
