Bills Continue To Be Thrilled With MVP's Mindset
Bills Continue To Be Thrilled With MVP's Mindset originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
It takes a special kind of quarterback to be a league MVP. ... Especially considering how talent-laded the position has become around the NFL.

That is what the Buffalo Bills have in Josh Allen, though.
Special.
The reigning MVP is coming off his best season and an appearance in the conference championship game. While he hasn't been able to get over the hump in the conference, he remains one of the elite players - at any position - in sports.
A secret weapon for him to accomplish that? His leadership capabilities.
Buffalo is talking up how thrilled all are with how Allen has carried himself and his mindset coming off an MVP.
"What I love about Josh is his demeanor, his approach, his mindset is as impressive as it gets," Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady shared. "It's infectious around the team. When he walks into the building, you don't see a guy that or don't feel a guy that just won the MVP last year.

"You feel a guy that's hungry and is trying to figure out ways to get better and embracing his new teammates."
Consistency and chemistry are two big components of building a Super Bowl-caliber roster. Buffalo believes it has both, with Allen leading the way on both counts.
He remains a positive lightning rod for the Bills as a leader - all eyes are on him at all times - and has helped get once-mediocre players to perform over their heads at times.
It's a big reason why Buffalo has won the last five division titles.
A Super Bowl is all that remains, though. And it's something that the organization truly believes Allen will get to eventually. ... in part because of that special MVP mindset.

Caitlin Clark's Appearance at NBA Finals Draws Indiana Fever Reaction
Caitlin Clark's Appearance at NBA Finals Draws Indiana Fever Reaction originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Game 3 of the NBA Finals is taking place on Wednesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, and it is an opportunity for the Indiana Pacers to take control of this series after their stunning Game 1 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Advertisement With a few days off before the WNBA's Indiana Fever host the defending champion New York Liberty, a few of their players decided to head to Gainbridge to enjoy the NBA championship series. Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Natasha Howard, who make up part of the Fever's impressive core, were seen sitting courtside for Game 3 on Wednesday, and the Fever noted their appearance with a post on X. Clark has been out for the past two weeks due to a strained quad. Although she sat out at Tuesday's loss to the Atlanta Dream, she has been ramping up her activity, and a return on Saturday seems possible. The Fever have also been without guard Sophie Cunningham, who has been out lately because of an ankle injury. They currently have a 4-5 record, while New York is at 9-0. Advertisement The Pacers overcame a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter of Game 1 and claimed a victory when Tyrese Haliburton hit the game-winning shot with 0.3 seconds left. They then fell in Game 2, 123-107, but thanks to their improbable Game 1 win, they're still very much in this championship series. Aces star A'ja Wilson leaves loss to Sparks early with head injury
A'ja Wilson tried to block Dearica Hamby at the rim when she took an incidental shot to the face on Wednesday night. (Thien-) Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson left Wednesday night's loss to the Los Angeles Sparks early after she took a shot to the head. Wilson, in the third quarter of the Sparks' 97-89 win at Michelob Ultra Arena, rose up deep in the lane and tried to block Dearica Hamby as she tried to make a layup. Advertisement While the block was successful on paper, Wilson was drilled hard in the face in the process. She stumbled backward and immediately reached for her face, clearly in a lot of pain, as play continued on the other way. Wilson remained in the game for a few minutes, but she left just before the third quarter ended. The team then quickly ruled her out with a head injury the rest of the way. Further specifics of her injury are not yet known. Wilson finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the loss. The three-time MVP entered the night averaging 22 points and 9.9 rebounds this season, her eighth in the league. Only Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier is scoring more points per game than Wilson is across the league. Advertisement After opening the game on the wrong side of a 9-2 run, the Sparks rallied back and led the entirety of the final three quarters to pick up the eight-point win. Rickea Jackson led the way with a career-high 30 points and seven rebounds, and Azura Stevens added 19 points and 19 rebounds. Jackie Young led the Aces with 34 points and eight rebounds, and Chelsea Gray added 28 points behind six 3-pointers. The loss, which was the team's second straight, dropped the Aces to 4-4 on the year. While it's unclear how significant Wilson's head injury is, any time missed could prove costly for the Aces. They'll be back in action on Friday night against the Dallas Wings.

Spurs might be unable to land Greek Freak
Spurs might be unable to land Greek Freak originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The San Antonio Spurs have been linked to their fair share of offseason moves. With Dylan Harper their assumed draft pick, Naz Reid a potential free-agency signing, and Kevin Durant, Lauri Markkanen, and Giannis Antetokounmpo all trade candidates, the Spurs can bolster their roster in a big way this summer. Advertisement Of course, Antetokounmpo is the most talented player expected to be on the move this offseason. After the Milwaukee Bucks lost in the first round of the postseason for the third season in a row, the Greek Freak could demand a trade. Unless he specifically asks out, the Bucks are not expected to entertain trade offers. If he does ask for a trade, however, Milwaukee is expected to land a historically large haul of talent and draft capital, kickstarting a rebuild. The Spurs certainly have the means to land him, although it will be costly and arguably not worth it in the long run. A recent report from a league insider suggests that Antetokounmpo has not yet asked out, and the Bucks are not eager to field calls. Advertisement "Right now, there is no Giannis Antetokounmpo trade market," declared Brian Windhorst. "There is no Giannis Antetokounmpo trade discussions. He has not asked for it. The Bucks are not looking to trade him." Giannis has been linked to the Spurs, New York Knicks, Houston Rockets, and Toronto Raptors, although all of those teams might need to pivot to a different target, with Durant emerging as the best player.
