Dubai Corporate Games set to return for 2025 edition with record participation
The Dubai Corporate Games, Dubai's largest corporate multi-sports event, will welcome more than 3,000 participants from 55-60 companies for its 19 th edition at Dubai Sports City and various satellite venues across the emirate.
Held under the patronage of the Dubai Sports Council, the two-day weekend event has established itself as an inclusive sporting celebration, welcoming participants regardless of gender, age, fitness level, or organisation size.
The event, established in 2006, brings together professionals and executives from diverse sectors including media, FMCG, oil and gas, logistics, technology, finance, and consultancy firms. The organisers, High Five Events, report a 70 per cent year-on-year participant retention rate.

'We are now looking forward to the 2025 Games which we promise will be bigger than ever,' the company said on its website.
The competition will take place across multiple venues including the Dubai Kartdrome, Emirates Golf Club, Royal Grammar School, Dubai Bowling Center, Riva Beach Club, and Meydan Cycle Track.
Participants will compete in team sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, tug of war, dragon boat racing, and bowling.
Individual athletes can participate in running, swimming, fitness competitions, cycling, karting, and golf.
The games also feature racket sports including tennis, badminton, padel tennis, and table tennis. Additional competitions include FIFA gaming, backgammon, chess, and table football.
The scoring system awards three points for first place, two for second, and one for third, with the company accumulating the highest total being crowned the Best Performing Company.
Beyond the sporting events, the Games will feature entertainment including DJ performances, sponsor activations, and dedicated children's activities.
Food and beverage options will be available throughout, and families and friends are welcome to attend. The event will conclude with an Awards Ceremony on Sunday evening.

Dubai Open Karate Championship ends on high note
The first-ever Dubai Open Karate Championship concluded on a high note, impressing spectators and participants alike with its exceptional level of competition and strong turnout. Organised by the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) and the UAE Karate Federation in cooperation with the Mentor Sports Academy, the competition witnessed participation from more than 280 players representing 13 teams, including three government clubs and nine private sports academies from across the UAE. Major General Eng. Razooqi expressed his pride in the success of the tournament, the level of organisation and the participation in all age categories. He further emphasized on the importance of continuing such events, which contribute to spreading karate and strengthening its status, especially as it is one of the oldest self-defence sports practiced in Dubai and throughout the UAE. Ahmed Salem Al Mahri, Director of the Sports Talent Department at the Dubai Sports Council, emphasized the importance of these tournaments in strengthening development programmes for talent in all sports. He noted that the participation of more than 280 male and female players in the first edition of the Karate Championship reflects the event's success. While mentioning the future expansion of the event, Mahri also praised the outstanding technical level witnessed in the tournament. He emphasized that the competition was an ideal platform for discovering promising talent who will form a fundamental pillar for future national teams. Moataz Al Salam, Tournament Director and Talent Care Programme Coordinator at the UAE Karate Federation, explained that organising the event presented special challenges in dealing with the younger age groups. He emphasized that a select group of distinguished and outstanding local and expatriate players were selected for the junior, cadet and youth categories. Among the many talented athletes who lit up the mats at the Dubai Open Karate Championship, several names stood out for their outstanding performances and technical brilliance. Hamza Abdul Salam showcased exceptional control and power, leaving a lasting impression in both his Kata and Kumite events. Rashid Al Hajjaj demonstrated remarkable agility and composure under pressure, earning praise from coaches and spectators alike. Faisal Al Khalidi stood tall in his category with his disciplined technique and sharp execution, while Saif Al Qaidi impressed with his tactical intelligence and relentless drive.
