Lia Toyota donates $15K to Baystate Children's Hospital
WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – A well-known car dealership in our area is supporting Baystate Children's Hospital.
Lia Toyota of Wilbraham presented a check worth $15,000 on Tuesday, making it the dealership's 8th consecutive year supporting the children at Baystate.
General Manager of Lia Toyota Riley Campbell, explained why it's so important for them to be involved in their community. 'We try to serve the community that gives us business,' she says. 'Baystate Children's Hospital is a great sponsorship opportunity and a positive impact on the community.'
The money raised will go towards the 25th annual WMAS radiothon for Baystate Children's Hospital.

Nightly closures on I-91 in Northampton due to bridge work
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – I-91 in Northampton will be closed between exits 23 and 26 nightly for work on new highway bridges. Cooley Dickinson Hospital's remodel boosts ER capacity by 40% Drivers will be detoured off I-91 to routes 5 and 10 in Northampton during overnight hours. From Sunday, June 8th through Thursday, June 12th, and again on Sunday, June 15th, the highway will be closed to traffic between 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Southbound traffic will be detoured at exit 26 (Route 5/North King Street) and travel along Route 5 south through downtown Northampton to the on ramp at exit 23 (Mount Tom Road). Northbound traffic will be detoured at exit 23 (Route 5/Mount Tom Road) and travel along Route 5 north through downtown Northampton to the on ramp at exit 26 (North King Street). The on-ramp at exit 25 (Route 9/Bridge Street) will also be closed. Drivers should plan and expect delays in the area. Average western Massachusetts gas prices hit $2.90 per gallon
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield's gas prices have fallen 3.9 cents per gallon over the past week. Springfield celebration shines light on local heroes, helping to make communities thrive Gas prices in Springfield have dropped to an average of $2.90/g, according to GasBuddy price reports after a survey of 257 stations in Springfield. The cheapest station in Springfield was priced at $2.69/g, and the most expensive station was $3.19/g. The highest price in the state was $3.69/g, a difference of $1.12/g. The national price of gasoline is averaging $3.07/g on Monday. The national average is down 5.2 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands at 32.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering more than 150,000 gas stations across the country.
