Why Amanda Seyfried is ‘resentful' toward ‘Mean Girls'
Amanda Seyfried doesn't think 'Mean Girls' merch is that fetch. The Oscar-nominated star, 39, shared that while she doesn't mind fans wearing clothing with her face on it, she's 'resentful' that her likeness is used for merchandise since she doesn't get paid for it. Seyfried opened up about the 2004 iconic movie while reuniting with her 'Jennifer's Body' co-star Adam Brody for Variety's Actors on Actors published on Monday, June 9. CBS via Getty Images During their chat, Brody, 45, asked Seyfried if she's 'rewatched Mean Girls' in the past two decades since the timeless movie's release. 'I haven't. It's on often enough, though. I love it,' the actress, who played ditzy Karen Smith in the teen comedy, replied before sharing her thoughts on the 'Mean Girls' merch. Advertisement 'I really love seeing my face on people's T-shirts. I'm a little resentful because Paramount still owes me some money,' Seyfried alleged. 'Every store sells 'Mean Girls' T-shirts with our faces, photographs!' she explained, noting that her likeness is used on each item. 'Don't I [get something from that]?' The 'Long Bright River' actress went even further, wondering out loud if she allowed it to happen 'because I was 17 and dumb?' 8 'I'm a little resentful because Paramount still owes me some money,' she told Adam Brody. The reunion caused millennials to go into a tailspin while speculating why McAdams was nowhere to be found. 'Rachel McAdams didn't want to do it,' an insider told Page Six at the time. 'They were all offered it. But the three of them loved being together for their reunion.' McAdams later addressed her absence, telling Variety, 'I don't know; I guess I wasn't that excited about doing a commercial if I'm being totally honest.'

Jamie Foxx's daughters left in tears as he accepts BET's Ultimate Icon Award
Two years after Jamie Foxx spent nearly a month in an Atlanta hospital, the actor accepted the Ultimate Icon Award at the 2025 BET awards on June 9. The award, created in 2015, honors veteran artists for their significant contributions to music, dance and music videos. In addition to Foxx, Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg and Kirk Franklin were also presented with the award. (Warning: The link below contains language some may find offensive.) During Foxx's acceptance speech, the performer grew emotional as his two daughters, Corinne Foxx and Anelise Bishop, watched from the audience. 'We used to take this saying for granted, that 'God is good,'' Foxx began before acknowledging all the love and support from his peers and his fans. 'I gotta be honest, when I saw the In Memoriam, I was like, 'Man, that could have been me,'' he continued, referencing the health scare he endured in 2023, as his daughters also grew increasingly emotional. (Warning: The link below contains language some may find offensive.) During his Netflix special, 'What Had Happened Was…,' Foxx said he was hospitalized roughly 20 days with a 'brain bleed that led to a stroke,' according to 'Today.' Foxx couldn't walk or recall what had happened from April 11, when he first began experiencing a headache to May 4, when he woke up. After undergoing rehabilitation, Foxx experienced a full recovery. 'I don't know why I went through what I went through, but I know my second chance I'm not going to turn down. I'm not going to turn down. I have so much love to give. I told Him, I said, 'Man, bro, just give me one more crack at this. And I promise.' I said, 'Whatever reason you put this on me, I promise, Imma do right, and imma do right in front of y'all,' Foxx shared. 'And I don't want to make this whole speech about that but you can't go through something like that and not testify,' Foxx continued. Foxx went on to call out each of his daughters individually, praising Corinne for getting in the driver's seat when he needed her most. 'Corinne, I cannot say enough about you. You've always taken the back seat to everything, but when you needed to drive it, you drove and you made sure I was here.' He then turned his attention to Anelise, calling her his 'baby with the big hair.' 'She hides under that hair because she got something special. You're so beautiful, man. When I was fighting for my life in there, I got to say this. They said that 'we going to lose him because his vitals is bad.' I didn't want my 14-year-old to see me like that. But my Anelise overheard the conversation, and she snuck into my hospital room with her guitar and said, 'I know what my daddy needs.' And as she played the guitar, my vitals dropped and I realized that God was in that guitar. And the nurses ran in and said, 'What did they give him?' And my daughter says, 'I got him.'' In the comment section of BET's YouTube video, fans commented on Corinne and Anelise's emotions during their father's speech. 'You can see the pain in his daughters still. So glad he won that fight,' one comment read. 'You can tell his daughters love him.' 'When he told his daughter you always took the back seat but when you needed to drive..... YOU DROVE! I fell out crying!'

‘I've got God in my life, and I've got a queen in my life' Snoop Dogg honors wife in BET Awards speech
While receiving BET's Ultimate Icon Award, Snoop Dogg expressed his gratitude before reminding fans why he earned icon status on stage. Snoop Dogg has long cemented his status as a hip-hop giant and at the 2025 BET Awards, the network made it official by honoring him with the Ultimate Icon Award, recognizing decades of trailblazing contributions to music, entertainment, activism, and community. Though the night was designed to celebrate his accomplishments, the West Coast legend used the moment to shine a light on someone who's been with him since the beginning: his wife, Shante Broadus. 'See, this is why I'm so rock solid,' he said of his wife of 28 years. 'This is why I'm able to deal with all of the things that I'm able to deal with. I've got God in my life, and I've got a queen in my life.' He went on to praise her unwavering loyalty: 'No matter what, she held me down, she hold me down, she's always been there for me. She's always been my everything. That's why she's on stage tonight. That's why she's in my life,' he continued. 'I want to say to those out there that have somebody special in [their] life, don't be afraid. Put them on the front page, let the world see what you got.' Snoop also took time to recognize his family, shouting out his late mother and brother, his boys, his daughter Cori Broadus, and his ten grandchildren, whom he called his 'greatest inspiration.' One of four recipients of this year's Ultimate Icon honor, alongside Jamie Foxx, Kirk Franklin, and Mariah Carey, Snoop reminded the crowd that icons don't walk alone. Highlighting how each icon has become a part of his family, he also shouted out Charlie Wilson as 'my life coach who kept me at home and showed me how to get my wife back, and, ultimately, get my life back.' In addition to the award, the 'Drop it Like it's Hot' rapper took the stage to perform a medley of some of his discography. From lyrics like ''Me and Dre at the Sofi, that's the only way I sell out,' in his most recent track, 'Unsung Heroes' to his 90s hits like 'Nuthin' but a G'thang' and 'Gin & Juice,' Snoop Dogg reminded everyone exactly who he is in his speech and performance. 'Isn't it ironic how I became iconic off a bag of chronic and some gin and tonic? And the part that makes it all crazy is Death Row is still the label that pays me. Peace and love,' the rapper said, quoting his own lyrics at the end of his acceptance speech. Ultimately, Snoop Dogg shared his utmost gratitude for his fans and their continued support. 'Hip-hop gave me a voice, gave me a purpose, gave me a way out and a way in — into homes, hearts, cultures and countries I never thought I would even touch. Being an icon, it ain't about fame, it's about legacy. It's about what you build, what you leave behind and who you lift up along the way. And this award, it ain't just for me, it's for the homeboys that I lost. For the next generation of artists. For everybody who's still grinding and still believing, so that every young king and queen out there keep pushing. Be original. Be fearless. And above all, be you.'
