Attachment style in a relationship is how you think, behave, and connect. These styles show up in patterns, both in behaviour and thought processes. Your attachment style shapes how you love and handle arguments.
Anxious attachment style is one of the four attachment styles. The other three are secure, avoidant, and disorganised. As the name itself suggests, anxious attachment has excessive worry rooted in the fear of being left, rejected or abandoned. This, in turn, increases the need to overanalyse everything, reading between the lines. They seek constant reassurance from partners. The need for validation can range from constantly seeking reassurance with weird hypothetical questions like 'Do you still love me if I were a worm?' to reacting badly in arguments.
Sometimes a person with an anxious attachment style may appear too clingy or emotional. Even a change in tone or a delayed reply will set off their anxiety, making them spiral and overthink.
Atlanta-based dating coach Erica, who regularly shares tips on improving emotional intimacy in relationships, on 27 May shared the reasons behind this anxious attachment style and how one can heal from this cycle of doubt and emotional distress.

Erica explained, 'You may find yourself doubting your partner's love or desire to be with you even when there is no reason to doubt your partner. At your core, you are perceiving a threat. The root threat or fear is abandonment. Abandonment wounds are created because of past experiences of being emotionally and/or physically abandoned by the people who were supposed to take care of you. Realizing that your anxiety/worry is not rooted in any facts or evidence is the first step to helping yourself de-escalate, soothe your inner child, and heal your abandonment wounds.'
Previous incidents of rejection or abandonment, maybe in childhood, fuel this attachment style as the relationship coach shared. This makes the bitter past experience a blueprint that actively shapes how you behave in relationships later on, always on the edge of expecting pain.
Healing is important for both you and your partner. It can be exhausting to feel restless, with anxiety draining you from being present and trusting your partner. Similarly, your partner may reach a point where they feel overwhelmed by your need for constant reassurance. The relationship may feel like walking on eggshells for both of you; a vicious cycle of mistrust, a push and pull that is exhausting for both. This is why healing is so important.

A nine-month-old Junagadh-based boy, who had accidentally swallowed an LED bulb attached to a toy phone, was successfully treated at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital and the object successfully retrieved from his body, said people familiar with the matter on Saturday. The child, identified as Mohammad, son of Tabassum and Juned Yusuf, a carpenter, had been coughing for the previous fortnight, following which he was taken to a pediatrician in Junagadh, said his parents. During an X-ray, the doctors found an object lodged in his respiratory tract. The doctors recommended the boy's parents, residents of Mangrol in Junagadh, to a private hospital in Rajkot but since the cost proved prohibitive, the parents took him to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. The child was immediately admitted to the Pediatric Surgery Department of the civil hospital on June 3. Head of the Pediatric Surgery Department, Dr Rakesh Joshi, and Dr Nilesh from the Anesthesia department along with their team successfully conducted a bronchoscopy (medical procedure) and extracted the LED bulb from the right main trachea of the child. After the operation, the child's health has been improving, said a doctor familiar with the development. The child is now healthy without any other problems, so he will be discharged from the hospital soon, said the doctor.

According to Kanikka Malhotra, a clinical nutritionist and diabetes educator, if overloaded, excess sugar gets converted into fat and stored throughout the body. She said this can contribute to weight gain and increase your risk of developing chronic health problems like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers. Don't workout for six months and let it go; be consistent in your approach. 'Most importantly, lift weights. Women, especially should do so,' she said. According to Dr Anup Khatri, senior consultant, orthopedics, Gleneagles Hospital, Parel, Mumbai, staying physically active can help improve muscle strength and boost endurance. High-intense activities like sprinting can help build muscle, increase stamina, and also improve cardiovascular health. 'Sprinting can also help in burning calories and easily lose weight, especially fat from the body,' he said, adding that consistency is key. According to him, it is important to maintain a consistent workout regime for better results as taking frequent breaks can disrupt the entire process, making your muscles shrink back to their natural form. 'Koi idea aaya hai, kuch life mein karna chahte ho, koi vision hai…likh lo. It just clears up your mind,' the actor suggested. Dr Rimpa Sarkar, psychologist and founder of Sentier Wellness, told that writing your thoughts and goals signals to your subconscious that these things in life matter, keeping you motivated. It also activates the reticular activating system (RAS) in the brain, making you more aware of relevant opportunities. '10 page padhlo, 20 page padhlo. 'You will experience improved quality of sleep after reading, which is also linked to empathy development. It can be used as an escape as well as a tool to increase your attention span, and increase your knowledge,' she added. 'Keep your gadgets, social media, phone out of your bedroom. Sone se ek ghanta pehle, chhodh do sab kuch. Connect with your loved ones, read something, have meaningful conversations,' added Tandon. Dr Shaunak Ajinkya, consultant, psychiatrist, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital Mumbai, shared that excessively using smartphone devices at night can lead to struggle with falling asleep or restless nights. This can be attributed to the blue light emitted by phone screens, which is known to disrupt melatonin production and interfere with the body's natural sleep cycle, he said. Telangana: Couple dies by suicide in Nizamabad, police suspect financial and health issues

A man and his wife allegedly died by suicide at their residence in Telangana's Nizamabad district, reportedly due to financial stress and health issues, police said on Saturday. Nizamabad Town police station officials said they received a call about the incident on Friday night. According to police, the couple's two sons were away at work when the incident took place. "Based on the state of the bodies and the foul smell, we believe the incident occurred a day or two ago," an officer said. A case has been registered, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination, he said, adding that further investigation is underway. Discussing suicides can be triggering for some.
