Yellowstone fans get huge update on Beth and Rip spin-off after months of waiting
The much-anticipated sequel to Yellowstone has a tentative release window, and it's closer than you might expect.
Fans were waiting nearly two years for the second half of the fifth season following Kevin Costner's departure.
The final episode seemed to conclude the Duttons' saga last December.
However, it was later confirmed that main characters Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) would be returning for a sequel series.
This latest addition to the growing list of Yellowstone spin-offs will follow the journey of the ranching power couple after the death of Beth's father, John Dutton (Costner).
Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly are both returning to the Yellowstone universe
A recent Bloomberg report suggests that Paramount co-CEO Chris McCarthy and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan are gearing up to launch the new spin-off this fall, reports
the Mirror US
.
The series, currently titled Dutton Ranch, will be exclusively available on Paramount+, reportedly in just a few months.
Plot details for Dutton Ranch remain under wraps, particularly considering Beth's brother Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) sold the Yellowstone ranch to its former rival, Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham).
Kayce planned to stay on the land with his wife, Monica (Kelsey Asbille), and their son, Tate (Brecken Merrill), while Beth and Rip considered moving to a smaller plot near Dillon, Montana.
The tranquil retreat that our favorite characters have built, so far removed from their prior life of chaos and criminality, might come crashing down in the coming months as they return to the screen.
Reilly let her Instagram followers in on the secret, confirming the spin-off with a simple "true [love heart emoji]" when quizzed by an eager fan.
The popular Western franchise is still going strong after Kevin Costner's exit
Her co-star Hauser shared his enthusiasm in People magazine: "America has spoken and they still love the show.
"Hopefully, we can continue to get in people's living rooms and entertain them the way we have over the last seven years."
In other news, creator Sheridan is reportedly cooking up a new spin-off for CBS centered on Kayce, as fans eagerly await the release of other spin-offs like The Madison and 1944, anticipated to debut in 2026.
Adding to his TV magic, Sheridan has roped in a fan-favorite from Yellowstone for the next season of his blockbuster Paramount series, Landman.
Sam Elliot, famous for his role as Shea Brennan in the acclaimed prequel 1883, will join Billy Bob Thornton in Landman, though his exact role remains hush-hush.
Yellowstone is available to stream on Paramount+.

The Irish actor was asked to weigh on who he thinks will play 007 next Pierce Brosnan has said his MobLand co-star Tom Hardy would be a 'wonderful' James Bond. The 72-year-old who played 007 from 1995 until 2002 is often asked who he thinks the next Bond will be after Daniel Craig stepped down from the role in 2021. Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, the Navan man said: 'I have no picks. I shall leave it open to the powers that be. 'It's a very exciting moment in the history of James Bond. Now that Barbara [Broccoli] and Michael [G. Wilson] have relinquished the reins of it.' Pierce Brosnan and Tom Hardy (Getty Images) News in 90 Seconds - 3rd June 2025 When pressed about his Mobland co-star Tom Hardy, Brosnan said he would be 'wonderful.' 'Oh, Tom would be wonderful. 'There's so many great actors out there who could portray this character. 'I have no idea who, I have no idea. I wish whoever it is great success.' Brosnan, who plays Conrad Harrigan in the British crime drama, faced criticism about his Irish accent in the TV show, when it was described as 'all over the place.' In response to the comments, Brosnan told the Radio Times: 'My own accent is very soft, Conrad's accent is a million miles away from me.' He went on to explain that the inspiration for the accent was a man suggested by his dialect coach, adding: "I told him that I needed a Kerry accent, so he gave me the name of a man and I googled the guy and that was it. "It was a Kerry accent and so I just gave it full tilt." Brosnan plays the lead role in director Guy Ritchie's Paramount+ series. Saying he enjoys playing the villain, Brosnan added: 'like him. I love him. I enjoy him. I mean, I don't want to be that person – he's a psychopath. The contemporary crime drama is based around the fictional Harrigan family and their influence on London's criminal underworld. It features Brosnan (72) and Dame Helen Mirren, 46 years after they both starred in John Mackenzie's iconic 1979 gangster film The Long Good Friday.

Huge twist in Mobland finale guarantees second series, say fans – despite backlash over Pierce Brosnan's accent
A HUGE twist in the finale of Guy Ritchie's Mobland series has guaranteed a second series, according to fans. The tenth episode of the gangster show faced backlash over Pierce Brosnan's Irish accent - with some critics calling for it to be axed. In a shock move, Harry's loyal wife Jan stabbed him in the chest in a fit of rage while chopping carrots in the kitchen. Fans think this cliffhanger ending proves why the show must return - to find out whether he survives. Sharing various thoughts on how series two will play out, one said: "I saw a post about the ending being bad and Harry getting stabbed being a way for Tom Hardy to leave, but I feel like what followed after the stabbing was kind of a wink that nothing is going to happen to him. Advertisement READ MORE ON MOBLAND "Harry is definitely the cherry on top of the cake and the showrunners are not oblivious to that. "If the show has a season 2, Harry will be in there and he would've survived." Someone else added: "After enjoying the S1 finale, it appears we have our new antagonists to go up against Harry and Kevin: Kat and Eddie in series two. "Eddie is more f****d up than we thought! Choking your own mother to death is pretty heinous. Advertisement Most read in News TV "Before the finale, I would have said Eddie's too weak/cowardly to even be mentioned in the same breath as Kat McAllister. But seeing his venomous attempts to kill his mother, I think Kat and Eddie will find their way onto some kind of team together. I think Eddie wants to destroy every Harrigan now." Another said: "Lowkey wish Conrad and Maeve could just be gone from season 2 and they would focus on Kat and if anything Eddie only. And Seraphina perhaps as an antagonist as well working with Kat." A viewer wrote: "Well Eddie didn't successfully commit matricide so it'll be interesting to see how Bella reacts during S2." Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan star in new MobLand trailer
