Qatar's Minister of Public Health inaugurates Surgi Art Hospital
Doha, Qatar: HE Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud, Minister of Public Health, inaugurated the Surgi Art Hospital, which has a capacity of 49 suites, of which 22 are for inpatients.
His Excellency toured the hospital and received an overview of the wide range of medical services available in various specialities, including internal medicine, general medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, dentistry, dermatology, otolaryngology, and surgery.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr Saed Mohammed Kaldari, CEO and Co-Founder of the Surgi Art Hospital, and several members of the medical and administrative staff.
The Ministry of Public Health is committed to supporting the private health sector and enhancing its role in providing high-quality healthcare services in Qatar.

Dubai to deploy thousands of workers to ensure cleanliness during Eid Al Adha
Dubai Municipality will deploy a field team of 2,800 engineers, supervisors, inspectors, and specialised workers to ensure public health, safety, and environmental cleanliness across public spaces, facilities, and events this Eid Al Adha. Comprehensive cleaning campaigns have already been conducted across Eid prayer grounds, public facilities, gathering points, green spaces, and main and secondary roads, Dubai Municipality said on Wednesday ahead of the long weekend that starts on June 5. 'Waste storage containers have also been strategically placed across vital areas to accommodate increased waste volumes during the holiday. The teams are responsible for overseeing field operations, supported by a fleet of 752 fully equipped vehicles and machinery,' the civic body added. Dubai Municipality noted it has increased readiness at public beaches, including those designated for night swimming such as Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, and Umm Suqeim 1. Specific beaches have been allocated exclusively for families to regulate beach access and ensure that residents and visitors enjoy a safe, smooth, and fully integrated recreational experience at Dubai's beaches. The Municipality called on the public to cooperate with official guidelines to support community safety and public order. The Municipality also confirmed that its call centre will operate 24/7 throughout the holiday period. Eid Al Adha: Ajman cracks down on food outlets; announces free parking, public park timings
Ajman has intensified inspection campaigns on food outlets and livestock markets as part of its Eid Al Adha preparations, aiming to safeguard public health and ensure food sold during the holiday meets strict hygiene and safety standards. The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department said round-the-clock inspections are underway at restaurants, butcheries, and health establishments that experience high footfall during Eid. Veterinary teams are also monitoring livestock markets to ensure the health and safety of sacrificial animals before they reach consumers. 'All preparations have been made to ensure a safe and smooth Eid for everyone. Our inspection teams are working around the clock to protect public health and uphold Ajman's quality of life,' said Abdurahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of Ajman Municipality and Planning. Meanwhile, all slaughterhouses across the emirate are fully set to receive sacrificial animals. The facilities have been equipped with modern tools and staffed with skilled veterinary and technical teams to carry out pre- and post-slaughter inspections, in line with international health standards. The central abattoir will open its doors to the public on Arafat Day from 7.30am to 3pm, and on Eid Day immediately after prayers until 4pm. Operations will continue daily through the Eid holidays from 7am to 4pm The Masfout and Al Manama abattoirs will also operate on split shifts to accommodate growing Municipality confirmed that incoming food shipments continue to be screened in collaboration with Ajman Port and Customs. Using the federal ZAD platform, all food containers are inspected thoroughly before clearance. Free parking, festive lights, and open parks Ajman will offer free public parking from June 5 to 8, with regular fees resuming on June 9. The city has also been adorned with 1,050 decorative light panels and greeting banners to reflect the festive spirit. Parks and public facilities will be open to visitors from 4.30pm to 11pm, while Al Rashidiya Park will extend its hours from 3pm to midnight.

Abu Dhabi shuts down cafeteria for violating food safety rules
Food safety authorities in Abu Dhabi have ordered the closure of Bin Khalifa Cafeteria for violating food safety rules in the emirate. The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) said that it had issued a decision to administratively close Bin Khalifa Cafeteria. Bin Khalifa Cafeteria, which holds the trade license (CN-1049262) was found to be violating Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food. The authorities said that the cafeteria posed a 'significant risk' to public health. The closure and violation detections are part of ongoing inspection efforts to enhance the food safety system in the UAE capital. The authority emphasised that all establishments — regardless of their type or the food products they handle — are regularly inspected to ensure full compliance with food safety regulations. The ADAFSA urged the public to inform the authorities and report any food violations by calling the Government of Abu Dhabi's toll-free number 800555.
