According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple now plans to debut its AI-powered upgrade for Siri as part of iOS 26.4. Looking back at the previous two iOS generations, iOS 18.4 arrived on March 31, 2025, while iOS 17.4 rolled out on March 5, 2024. Therefore, we can safely assume iOS 26.4 will launch around March 2026.
The new Siri experience was initially set to launch as part of iOS 18, but a well documented set of problems behind the scenes prevented that from ever happening. As a result, iPhone owners are still waiting for Siri to catch up with far more capable AI chatbots.
Apple revealed the 'more personalized' Siri at WWDC 2024, but the launch of iOS 18 came and went last fall without any updates. Apple finally told John Gruber's Daring Fireball in March 2025 that it was going to take the company 'longer than we thought to deliver on these features,' but that it still expected to roll them out at some point in 2025.
That's clearly no longer the case, as Apple executives Craig Federighi and Greg 'Joz' Joswiak sat down for an interview with Tom's Guide at WWDC 2025 and confirmed that the company is now anticipating 'rolling them out in the coming year.'
Bloomberg's report not only corroborates the news, but provides a concrete timeline for when we can expect to see the Siri upgrade actually materialize.
In a press release last June, Apple referred to the upcoming Siri powered by Apple Intelligence as 'more natural, more contextually relevant, and more personal.' The company told us that Siri would soon be able to follow along even when the user stumbles over their words, keep up with a conversation over multiple requests, and switch between text and voice.
'With Apple Intelligence, Siri will be able to take hundreds of new actions in and across Apple and third-party apps,' the company noted. 'For example, a user could say, 'Bring up that article about cicadas from my Reading List,' or 'Send the photos from the barbecue on Saturday to Malia,' and Siri will take care of it.'
Instead, all we really got was a new design for Siri, which now shows up as a glowing light that wraps around the edge of the iPhone's display. That will apparently continue to be Siri's biggest improvement until the calendar flips to 2026.

The AI Trade Is Back in Play: 2 Stocks to Buy for Summer Sizzle!

Written by Joey Frenette at The Motley Fool Canada The AI (artificial intelligence) trade is getting heated as we move towards the midpoint of the year, with the S&P 500 now just a good day or two away from completing its so-called V-shaped recovery from the brutal spring correction (nearly a bear market for the S&P 500 as the TSX Index held its own relatively well) worsened by Trump's sweeping tariff war with most of the world. If you're a tad jittery after the volatility experienced a few months ago, you're not alone. It's hard to justify buying the stock on strength as tariff talks continue to dominate the headlines. In any case, I think there are great value names that don't entail paying all too high a premium for long-term AI exposure. In this piece, we'll have a look at two great names for investors seeking growth at a reasonable price (GARP). As GARP clashes with the AI trade, I think the following names could be timely bets for the medium and long term. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) stock seems stuck in a bear market, with shares falling below the $200 level again following what can only be described as a less-than-exciting 2025 edition of WWDC (Worldwide Developers' Conference). I saw the whole thing, and it was lighter in the AI than expected. After facing criticism for overpromising with its Apple Intelligence, which may be an early flop depending on who you ask, I think it's no surprise that the latest WWDC was a bit lighter on the AI promises. Does that mean Apple is ready to step away from the AI race? Of course not! Rather, I think Apple's just underpromising so that it can overdeliver a year or two from now. Indeed, there's a high bar to pass for the next-level Siri to land. And it's not yet above the high bar set by Apple. Despite the less-exciting and relatively AI-light WWDC, I still consider Apple to be a top AI play that'll be worth the wait. For now, there's Liquid Glass technology to get excited about as Apple applies more polish to its model that it wants to get right, even if it means showing up even later to the AI party. After slipping more than 23% from its highs over AI jitters and underwhelming post-WWDC, I think it's time to start thinking about doing some buying. Indeed, the stock is down nearly 7% in the past year, with a forward price-to-earnings multiple of 25.1 times, which is way too low for a firm that's going slow and steady in this AI race. I think slow and steady may very well win the race. But, of course, time will tell. I've been pounding the table on Shopify (TSX:SHOP) and its AI potential for quite some time now (likely well over a year). And recently, I highlighted that some analysts covering the stock are starting to take notice. Indeed, Wall Street is catching on to the company's AI prowess. And with that, I believe, could accompany multiple expansion as the firm continues investing heavily in AI technologies to level up its product. Personally, I think Shopify is the most innovative tech firm in Canada and perhaps in the e-commerce scene. As such, investors may wish to watch the name to buy on any dips over the coming weeks and months. Shopify is the real deal. And to discount its AI powers, I think, would be a mistake. You can save thousands on our favorite 8K TV right now, but there aren't many left

If you've ever wanted an 8K TV, now is the time. At the very top of our list of the best 8K TVs sits the Samsung QN900D 8K QLED. It's an expensive TV, but right now we're seeing both its 75-inch and 85-inch variations have a huge sale. The 75-inch version is $1,700 off, bringing it to $4,298 from $5,998, and the 85-inch version is $2,200 off, bringing it from $7,498 to $5,298. Unfortunately, the stock is actually dwindling quite quickly, and I'm seeing fewer TVs available now compared to when I first found the deal last night. As I write there are only 7 of the 75-inch and 13 of the 85-inch TVs remaining on sale. So, if you want this TV, you should legitimately hurry up and get it now — this 8K TV deal probably won't last the weekend. Why you should buy the Samsung QN900D 8K QLED TV The TV is considered great for more than just its outstanding 8K upscaling (it's still hard to find natively 8K content these days) but also for its full range of features. Gaming on a Samsung QN900D is a fantastic experience due to quality ports, letting you game with a 4K resolution at 240Hz. Sports fans will love the TV's AI processor that recognizes balls and clarifies them for a clear view of where they're at — this isn't just motion rate, it's actual AI enhancement. When our editorial team published their QN900D initial impressions, they were 'mighty impressed' by the upscaling. This TV makes low-resolution and low-bit-rate streaming look legitimately good. This QLED TV deal is very hot at the moment and the TVs are selling out quickly. The $5,998 75-inch version is $1,100 off, bringing it down to $4,298, while the $7,498 version is $2,200 off, bringing it down to $5,298. Altogether there are only 20 TVs left between these two. Though I'm now seeing that there are 'more on the way' for the 75-inch version of the TV (and not the 85-inch version) there is no indication of how many or when they will arrive. The best way to lock this deal in is to get it now.
