With this win, Dvalishvili earned a bonus payment of $50,000 and continued his impressive run by securing his 13th consecutive victory.
President Donald Trump witnessed Dvalishvili (20-4 MMA) showcase his dominant wrestling skills from the cageside. He exhausted the former champion and solidified his position amongst the elite bantamweights in the sport's history.

The state-of-the-art facility, established by Chief National Coach Vijay Sharma in September 2024, will now provide accommodation for up to 60 athletes in 30 fully equipped rooms. Currently, 40 young athletes aged 8-14 years and 15 elite athletes are also training at the academy. Speaking at the inauguration, Rijiju congratulated the team and expressed his confidence in the academy. 'I would like to congratulate the team at Weightlifting Warriors that the residential centre has opened. I am not just wishing you all good luck, but I have faith that a great champion will emerge from here. I have seen a lot of academies in my life... but the way Vijay has run this academy with dedication, and the way they work hard to make it a success. I have never seen that anywhere else,' he said, as quoted from a press release by Weightlifting Warriors. Olympic Silver Medalist Mirabai Chanu, who trains at the academy, expressed her commitment to mentoring the next generation: 'The 2036 Olympics is not just a dream for us; it is a commitment for our country. Chief National Coach Vijay Sharma shared his vision: 'The dream I had of an academy has come true today. Canada's Summer McIntosh crushes 400m freestyle world record
MONTREAL: Summer McIntosh smashed the women's 400m freestyle world record in winning the title at the Canadian Swimming Trials in 3min 54.18sec on Saturday, sending a signal for this year's World Championships in Singapore. McIntosh, a three-time Olympic gold medallist and former world record-holder in the event, sliced more than a second off the previous world record of 3:55.38 set by Australian Ariarne Titmus at the 2023 World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan. "Going into tonight I knew that my training has been really good these past few months, and I knew that I could do something special," the 18-year-old star said. "I mean, I didn't think my training would be 54.1, but I'm really happy with that overall." It was McIntosh's first race of the trials in Victoria, British Columbia, selection meet for the worlds in Singapore July 11-August 3. She's entered in seven events, including the 800m free, 400m individual medley, 200m individual medley, 200m free, 200m butterfly and 200m backstroke. She has indicated she aims to compete in five events at worlds. McIntosh won gold in the 200m butterfly, 200m medley and 400m medley at the Paris Games and she'll head to Singapore seeking to add to her tally of four world titles. With Titmus taking a season off, she can expect her greatest challenge in the 400m free to come from Katie Ledecky, but after Saturday's showing McIntosh appeared more than up for a clash with the US great. "To be honest I didn't really feel a lot of pain in that," she said. "I just felt so strong throughout and that's never been the case in the 400 freestyle for me. The last 100, I'm always really, really hurting, but I flipped up the 200 and I was just cruising, so I knew that I was having a strong swim. I could tell by the crowd and the way they were cheering that I was probably close to the world record, so I really tried to push that last part for them," McIntosh added.

Indian men eye comeback against Netherlands in FIH Pro League
The Indian men's hockey team will look to bounce back from its narrow defeat in the opener when it takes on The Netherlands in the European leg of the FIH Pro League here on Monday. India squandered a one goal lead to lose 1-2 to Olympic champions Netherlands in the first match on Saturday. The Indian side showed promise in the early phases of the first half, with captain Harmanpreet Singh converting a penalty corner to give his side the lead. The Dutch side, however, made a strong comeback and ultimately emerged victorious courtesy of a brace from Thijs van Dam, which included the winning goal in the 58th minute. With seven games left to play in the competition, India currently stand fourth in the points table with 15 points. 'We did well in the first half but the third quarter wasn't as good. In the fourth quarter we did well again and were winning the ball, but we weren't getting any shots on goal. 'It was unfortunate to lose like that because I thought we could push for a draw. We want to push ourselves as hard as we can, especially against a team like the Netherlands,' India head coach Craig Fulton said after the match. With next year's World Cup spot up for grabs, India will aim to do well in the remaining matches and gain maximum points against challenging opponents. India played the home leg of the Pro League in Bhubaneswar earlier this year, when it amassed 15 points with five wins in eight games.
