Former Nets Executive Reveals Downside of Trading Joel Embiid

Former Nets Executive Reveals Downside of Trading Joel Embiid originally appeared on Athlon Sports. There have been questions regarding the future of Joel Embiid with the Philadelphia 76ers. Last season, Embiid's injuries piled up and prevented him from playing at least 20 games. He was limited to 19 games and was shut down after the 2025 All-Star break. Advertisement With that, there have been talks about potentially trading Embiid and starting anew. The injuries have prevented the star center from contributing significantly recently, but he's still one of the best players when healthy. Heading into the offseason, many believe the Sixers are exploring the possibility of trading Embiid. However, a former league executive presented the disadvantage Philly could experience. Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid looks on after the game against the Milwaukee Ross-Imagn Images Former Brooklyn Nets general manager Billy King revealed his thoughts on the Sixers' matter. According to King, he thinks the organization might not get a lot in return for Embiid, given that he's often injured. Advertisement "The hardest thing is knowing that when Joel is healthy, he's one of the best players in the league. Everybody's going to say, 'Well, he's never healthy.' But the thing about it is, when you trade him, you're never getting players of equal value,' King said on 94WIP. King added that the Sixers should pursue players who are more athletic to surround Embiid. The former executive said that the franchise should have 6-foot-8 players around the 2023 MVP. The Sixers have not decided what to do with Embiid. However, they've hinted in the past that they're committed to the Cameroonian big man and the star players they've acquired to help him. Taylor Swift Dance Wedding Video with Travis Kelce Reveals Unmatched Vibe

Taylor Swift Dance Wedding Video with Travis Kelce Reveals Unmatched Vibe originally appeared on Athlon Sports. One thing we know about Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is that he likes to have fun, and it appears he's found the perfect partner to have said fun with: Taylor Swift. Having been dating for over two years, Travis and Taylor hit their first rough patch after the Super Bowl loss and retreated out of the public eye. However, over the past week, it seems they are slowly re-emerging, with the pair spotted on a date night and, most recently, at Travis' cousin's wedding in Tennessee. We have seen pictures of the pair celebrating the wedding, and now, a video has emerged of the couple watching on as the bride and groom shared what we think was their first dance. In the video posted to social media Kelce and Swift were seen dancing and grooving in their seats, with Travis noticeably having his hand on Taylor's knee/leg the whole time. The vibes are unmatched. Often unable to go anywhere without a host of fans swarming them and cameras going off everywhere, the wedding felt like a welcome change of pace for the high-profile couple. It was a relaxed atmosphere; guests didn't crowd the couple, making it uncomfortable. Instead, both Travis and Taylor were able to do their own thing and pose for photos with guests and others. Hence, that is likely why they felt like they could be themselves and have a good time because they didn't have to worry about being swarmed. And it shows, with Taylor and Travis finally able to act like a "normal" couple in public and enjoy spending time together. 10 cricketers who retired early: From Nicholas Pooran to Ayesha Naseem and more

Nicholas Pooran's recent retirement from international cricket at just 29 years old has reignited discussions about players who walked away from the sport in their prime. While the reasons range from mental health and injuries to faith and career setbacks, each story reflects a unique journey. Here are 10 cricketers who stunned fans with early exits: 1. Nicholas Pooran (West Indies) At 29, Pooran announced his international retirement despite being West Indies' most-capped T20I player and leading run-scorer. He cited personal reflection and gratitude for the journey, with no specific reason but hints of shifting priorities. 2. Ayesha Naseem (Pakistan) The promising 18-year-old batter retired suddenly to lead a more devout Islamic life. Debuting in 2020, she had already made a mark in both T20Is and ODIs, and her departure leaves a gap in Pakistan's future plans. 3. Persistent injuries and lack of selection led to his decision. 6. Pragyan Ojha (India) Ojha was only 27 when sidelined from the Indian Test squad. Despite 113 wickets in 24 Tests, competition from Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja curtailed his career. 7. AB de Villiers (South Africa) Known for redefining modern batting, de Villiers shocked the world by retiring at 34 while still dominating world cricket. He cited fatigue and the pressure of international cricket. 9. Aaqib Javed (Pakistan) A key figure in Pakistan's 1992 World Cup-winning squad, Javed retired at 26 amid match-fixing controversies. His early debut at 16 and swift exit make his story notable. 10. Craig Kieswetter (England) Kieswetter's career ended at 25 due to an eye injury. He was instrumental in England's 2010 T20 World Cup win and was seen as a long-term wicketkeeper option. 11. James Taylor (England) Taylor's career was cut short at 26 due to a serious heart condition. A consistent performer in ODIs, he averaged 42 and was seen as a key future player. These stories underline how unpredictable sporting careers can be, shaped not just by form and stats but personal battles, faith, and fate.
