Forest fires affecting visibility on roads near Ocala National Forest, FHP says
The Florida Forest Service is responding to forest fires in Putnam County.
It's happening near State Road 19 and National Forest Road 74. FFS said one is the Bobcat Trail Fire and one is the Mondex Wildfire.
The Florida Highway Patrol said, 'This may affect travel on SR 19 near the Ocala National forest throughout the day, night and into the morning hours.'
FHP is reminding drivers to use caution, especially at night and in the early morning hours.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said businesses in Springfield will feel the impact if the Haitian community leaves. 'Businessmen and women have told me who run these companies, told me without these Haitians there, they cannot produce as much. They'll scale back. They will have to stop one shift,' DeWine said. Officials remind drivers to ‘move over' after patrol vehicles hit in northeast GA
Authorities said when you see emergency lights on the road, remember two things: slow down and move over. The sheriff's office said the deputy's Dodge Charger was providing lights for a road construction project on Georgia 365 southbound near James Short Tractor in Alto. 14-year-old accused of making online threats towards high school in Newton County
A Newton County teenager was charged after deputies said he made threats towards a school. On Tuesday, they charged him with terroristic threats and acts. The juvenile court now has the case. Sheriff Ezell Brown is reminding parents and students that threats of violence will not be tolerated. Brown encourages parents and students to be mindful of what they say and do.
