Mark your calendars, because IGN Live is officially returning to Los Angeles on June 7-8, 2025. The show celebrates everything you love about video games, comic books, collectibles, movies, and TV, making it a fantastic venue for getting hot news about your favorite hobbies. Last year, I enjoyed the fan-centric weekend at IGN Live 2024, which included hands-on time with upcoming games, developer presentations, awesome swag, and celebrity appearances, such as Casper Van Dien from Starship Troopers and Alexey L. Pajitnov of Tetris fame. It was a terrific way to kick off the summer in place of the now-defunct E3, and I highly recommend attending.
IGN Live takes place in downtown LA at the Magic Box @ The Reef, and tickets are on sale now. You also enjoy an early bird discount if you visit and purchase tickets between now and April 30. If you plan to attend the show, check out the ticket price breakdown:
Basic, single-day tickets purchased between now and April 30 are $15.
You can upgrade your IGN Live experience by purchasing a $30 VIP pass between now and April 30. It includes admission for the entire weekend, plus a goodie bag filled with event exclusives.
After May 1, single-day tickets go up to $25. VIP passes rise to $40.
You may also purchase tickets at the door. Single-day tickets at the door are $30, and VIP tickets are $45.
IGN Live is partnering with many studios and publishers this year, with brands including 2K, Arcade1Up, Lenovo, and Netflix. More companies will be announced soon. If last year's show is anything to go by, IGN Live 2025 should be outstanding. IGN Live 2024 had more than 10,000 giveaways and 100 partners over the two-day event.
Last year's show was a multi-hall spectacle, featuring a main stage for presentations and giveaways. Spaces were also available for game demos, classic arcade gaming, souvenirs, and refreshments. IGN Live 2024 was a lively show and a fantastic way to spend the weekend.
You can expect PCMag to cover the show again, adding our expert insights to the happenings. In 2024, I got hands on with many demos and products at last year's IGN live. There was , a colorful acton-adventure game that paid homage to the Gameboy Advance and The Legend of Zelda in one colorful, sprite-fueled package.
I also interviewed developer S-Game after the team's spectacular , and I eagerly await more news about this bombastic martial arts title. I even got hands on with the iconic Pip Boy 3000 Mk V by The Wand Company and chatted with the company's co-founder. Of course, there were too many excellent reveals to count, but we highlighted IGN Live's and the weekend's .
Don't fret if you can't make the trip: IGN Live will livestream the weekend event across its many platforms, including , , , Twitter/X, and more. Stay tuned for more information about what to expect from IGN Live 2025, and be sure to check out IGN.com/Live and PCMag.com for the latest details about the event!

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Cast Premieres the First 10 Minutes of the Game's Documentary at IGN Live 2025

The cast of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 stopped by IGN Live to not only discuss the beloved new game from Sandfall Interactive, but also to exclusively premiere an over 10-minute look at the game's making-of documentary. The exclusive clip, which you can see below, begins by putting the focus on the developers of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on the day before launch. It then takes viewers behind the scenes of motion capture performances, including how that emotional opening scene between Gustave and Sophie came to life and another fun moment between Monoco and Verso. While the documentary is still a work in progress and the full video may change, we were able to chat with Jennifer English (Maelle), Ben Starr (Verso), Shala Nyx (Sciel), Kirsty Rider (Lune), Rich Keeble (Monoco), and Maxence Cazorla (Esquie) about their work on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. "We were all really excited," English said of the time before the game launched. "We weren't as stressed as the developers were, but I was dead nervous about it because we put all our love and heart into it and hope it pays off - and thankfully it did." "You can do whatever you do in the studio, but then it stops being yours," Starr added. "You don't know what it's going to become. There are so many circumstances that go into the release of a game, and I felt, personally, there was a huge amount of pressure. It's a game I wanted to be good for the team because they had put so much work into it, and because we didn't just come into it, we were an additional part of it." English then went on to discuss what it was like recording for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and video games in general, and it was a fascinating glimpse behind the curtain. "I get so lonely in the booth," English joked. "You have to pretend. It's very rare in video games that you get a playmate. I think it's happened once or twice that I've had another actor in the room, so it's a real honor when people think you were together recording. Video game acting is the Olympics of acting. If you can do good acting in video games - there is some bad acting, but not in this game – you can do anything." Nyx then shared how many people have reached out to her about how her character, Sciel, has helped them with struggles in their own lives. "It's so cinematic," Nyx said. "It's just so wonderful to be the voice and body of a character that is so rich and has so much emotional depth. I've had so many people reach out to me about how my character has helped them with their depression and helped them with their mental health. It's so ephemeral and every moment is so rich and that's a testament to the writing." Lastly, Starr spoke on the emotional impact of the game and why we care so much about these pixels that became characters that mean a lot to us. The reason you cry is because there is so much joy to be lost," Starr said. "You can't have something that's just morose all the time. If these people who are so vibrantly brought to life by these actors, if we lose them, then you lose everything." Sounds Like Big Savings: This LG Soundbar and Subwoofer Just Got $99 Cheaper

PCMag editors select and review products independently. If you buy through affiliate links, we may earn commissions, which help support our testing. These Walmart deals are way too good to scroll past. The LG S70TY soundbar is now $99 off and delivers theater-like sound with booming bass and crisp dialogue that'll make movie nights feel next-level. The Canon IVY 2 Mini drops by 21% and is perfect for printing cute, sticky-backed snaps straight from your phone. Finally, the Vizio 4K-Series 43-inch TV just got slashed by $89, making it a no-brainer if you want solid 4K streaming and low-lag gaming on a budget. Connect the LG S70TY soundbar with your TV and make it sound like a movie theater without draining your bank account. As our expert said, 'It offers all-around excellent sound quality and booming bass.' The sub brings enough rumble to shake your walls when you crank up action scenes, and the upward-firing driver adds a legit sense of height during big Dolby Atmos moments. You can tweak bass, mids, and treble right from the app, making it a fun and easy device to use. It received an 'Excellent' rating in and is an Editors' Choice winner for best midrange soundbar with spatial audio. And did we mention that $100 discount? Bose TV Bluetooth Soundbar With HDMI-ARC Connectivity for $199.00 (List Price $279.00) LG S60T 3.1ch Soundbar With Wireless Subwoofer for $196.99 (List Price $299.99) Bose Smart Dolby Atmos Bluetooth Soundbar (Black) for $429.00 (List Price $499.00) Samsung HW-Q600C 3.1.2ch Soundbar With Dolby Audio for $327.99 (List Price $597.99) Sonos Arc Ultra Soundbar With Dolby Atmos and Voice Control for $899.00 (List Price $999.00) The Canon IVY 2 Mini is a great little gadget for printing cute photos straight from your phone and now it's 20% off. It's super compact, runs entirely over Bluetooth, and the sticky-backed prints make it great for scrapbooking or journaling. You can even split a photo into four or nine tiles to make a bigger collage, which is something you don't usually see at this price. As our tester, , said in 2023, 'You won't go wrong with the IVY 2 Mini if quick little snap prints from your phone are what you're after.' It earned an 'Excellent' rating in our , further solidifying it as a great pick for creative photo lovers. After a budget-friendly 4K TV in the (very specific) 43-inch range? Then point your eyes toward this Vizio 4K-Series with a $89 price cut. With decent picture quality, it handles SDR colors fairly accurately and has impressively low input lag, which makes it surprisingly responsive for gaming. Our expert, , rated it "Good" in for its brilliant performance at this particular price point. It's a reliable option for basic use, though its dim display and limited color range mean it's best for casual viewing rather than cinematic experiences. This is probably the TV you should get for a spare/guest room or home office. 75" TCL QM6K 4K QD-Mini LED Google TV (2025 Model) for $899.99 (List Price $999.99) 85" Samsung Q60D Series 4K QLED Smart TV (2024 Model) for $1,297.99 (List Price $1,697.99) 65" LG C4 Series 4K 120Hz OLED Evo Smart TV (2024 Model) for $1,496.99 (List Price $2,699.99) 65" Samsung S90D 4K OLED 144Hz Smart TV (2024 Model) for $1,497.99 (List Price $1,697.99) 75" Sony Bravia XR X90L 4K Full Array LED Smart TV (2023 Model) for $1,198.00 (List Price $1,799.99) Find even today, and keep on saving!

'No Work Today': Diehard Nintendo Fans Line Up Early For Switch 2

PCMag editors select and review products independently. If you buy through affiliate links, we may earn commissions, which help support our testing. Lisa Jones has been a Nintendo fan since the company's first major console, the NES, launched in the 1980s. 'I've actually had every system, including the Virtual Boy,' she says. So, with Nintendo about to release its newest console, the Switch 2, Jones knew she had to own it on day one. 'I took the day off just to make sure I'd get one,' she told PCMag as she waited outside a Best Buy store, sitting on the concrete while occasionally stretching. Jones was among the diehard Nintendo fans who began lining up outside the store in San Francisco, hoping to snag the console on launch day. The Switch 2 becomes available to consumers at 12 a.m. EST / 9 p.m. PST. But not everyone managed to snag a preorder, prompting some to fall back on the tried-and-true method of lining up in person. 'Yeah, I'm cold,' said Doonie Love, an actor and model who was first in line at the store. He spoke to us with his black hoodie pulled over his head as the San Francisco wind blew by. Love began waiting at about 9 a.m. after failing to secure a preorder, which sold out quickly across retailers weeks ago. Although he's a Nintendo and Pokémon fan, he actually showed up to the Best Buy on a 'whim,' curious to see if people were lining up. 'There's no work today, I just needed something to do,' he said on deciding to wait in line. 'I just called someone to bring a jacket, chair, and burrito," he later added. Others like Brad Reinke were ready to line up. 'I took the day off. Yeah, I was totally prepared to play video games all day,' he told us while sitting in his foldable chair and eating a pasta takeout order from DoorDash. 'We're here all night so I've got to get lunch and dinner in me.' He too is a major Nintendo fan, and also bought the Switch 1 on launch day back in 2017. 'I'm a big collector and I'm probably going to buy everything they have on sale.' he said. While Reinke wasn't able to secure a preorder, he said he enjoys the experience of the 'midnight releases," which attracts other devoted fans. 'There's good company, everyone's here for the same reason, so we all have stuff to talk about,' he said. Meanwhile, another consumer named James Gualtieri was prepared to work remotely while waiting outside the Best Buy, carrying his laptop and a Wi-Fi hotspot. 'I was in a (remote) meeting for half an hour, chatting with folks,' he said. We visited the Best Buy at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, where the line for customers without preorders was relatively small, at about 10 people. As a result, it looked like all the consumers had a strong chance of scoring the console on launch day. But Gualtieri told us Best Buy staff wouldn't commit to confirming if everyone in line would come away with the Switch 2 since the retailer also has to prioritize preorders. 'At the end of the day, it's not the end of the world if I don't get one,' he said after already waiting for two hours. Fortunately, Gualtieri's workplace is located next to the Best Buy store. 'If I can't get one, I'll try to get in line tomorrow morning. I would really love to get one before the weekend,' he said. Meanwhile, others like Jones said it was important to snag a Switch 2 soon, rather than wait, citing the risk of Trump's tariffs raising the price. 'Get it while you can,' she said, noting Microsoft recently increased the price for its Xbox consoles. Best Buy isn't the only location in San Francisco to offer the Switch 2 for tonight's release. Nintendo's official store in the city opened last month and is slated to sell the console as well. But the product will only be available to lucky consumers who were able to snag a preorder, or 'warp pass.' Hours before the sales were set to begin, the store held a prelaunch 'celebration' event, giving fans a chance to demo the Switch 2. The event attracted a long line of over 80 people when it began at 1 p.m. Several Nintendo fans also dressed up for the event, including a consumer named Annie, who cosplayed as the Zelda character, and said 'I came here from Mexico.' "When I was a child I play the Nintendo so much with my friends," Annie added, while also showing off a Zelda tattoo. Another consumer named Greg H. also looked forward to tonight's launch, having scored a warp pass to buy the Switch 2 from the official Nintendo store in San Francisco. 'There is this nostalgic factor of waiting up until midnight to pick up the console,' he said while standing at the prelaunch event with a Nintendo N64 bag. 'There's also a communal aspect, where you meet a lot of people with the same interest.'
