‘That's not kooky' major Trump ally breaks with president on former news host

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is known for her outspoken support for President Donald Trump.
The two leaders of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, however, have very different opinions when it comes to former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Carlson criticized Trump in the June 13 edition of his online newsletter, saying the president was 'complicit' in Israel's attack on Iran that took place that week, according to The Hill.
The former anchor also accused 'warmongers' of urging Trump to 'direct U.S. military involvement in a war,' The Hill reported.
On June 16, a reporter asked Trump about Carlson's comments.
'I don't know what Tucker Carlson is saying,' Trump said in response. 'Let him go get a television network and say it so that people listen.'
Later that day, Trump posted on Truth Social: 'Somebody please explain to kooky Tucker Carlson that IRAN CAN NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON.'
On the social media website X, Greene wrote a post in defense of Carlson, saying that he is one of her 'favorite people.'
'He unapologetically believes the same things I do,' Greene wrote. 'That if we don't fight for our own country and our own people then we will no longer have a country for our children and our grandchildren.'
Greene also criticized 'foreign wars, intervention and regime change,' saying it would kill innocent people and would 'lead to our destruction.'
'That's not kooky,' Greene wrote in the post, a possible response to Trump's social media post.
Greene's X profile has other posts where she criticizes those supporting American involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran.
Trump told reporters on Air Force One on Monday he is looking for the conflict between Israel and Iran to end with Tehran completely giving up on nuclear weapons, according to Politico.
'A complete give-up, it's possible,' Trump said, adding that he did not want to see a ceasefire but 'a real end' to the conflict, Politico reported.

Tesla's Next Big Catalyst Faces Delay--Robotaxi Launch Under Scrutiny

June 19 A group of Democratic lawmakers from the Austin area is urging Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) to postpone its planned rollout of robotaxis until a new autonomous vehicle law takes effect in Texas, according to a Wednesday letter shared with media. The lawmakers said the delay would allow the company to better align with forthcoming safety regulations and build public confidence. Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently indicated that a soft launch could begin as early as this Sunday. The incoming legislation, currently awaiting the governor's signature, would introduce a permitting framework for self-driving vehicles and give the state authority to revoke those permits if safety concerns arise. It also includes requirements for emergency protocols during autonomous operations. Lawmakers have asked Tesla to provide detailed information on how it intends to meet these conditions if it moves forward ahead of the law's expected September implementation. In January, Musk said the company would offer paid autonomous rides in Austin starting in June. Early reports suggest the pilot program may use a fleet of 10 to 20 Model Y vehicles in select neighborhoods deemed safest by the company. The robotaxi program remains a focal point for Tesla investors and analysts, given the potential revenue implications tied to autonomous driving and robotics. Trump admin fights to deport convicted murderer shielded by Biden-era torture protection

EXCLUSIVE: A Biden-era decision could potentially keep a convicted murderer from being deported from the United States, at least while a key legal battle plays out in court. Fox News rode along with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations in Los Angeles, the center of recent anti-ICE civil unrest, and the agency arrested Salvadoran national Alexander Alfredo Palacios Guevara, who not only has the murder conviction, but also two counts of attempted murder dating back to 1994, an HSI source said. The man told Fox News, "I have CAT, I have CAT," which turned out to be a Convention against Torture he was granted by the Biden-era Board of Immigration Appeals on Dec. 18, according to DHS sources. Specifically, he was given DCAT – Deferral of Removal under the Convention Against Torture, meaning that he believes there's a risk of him getting tortured if he is sent back to El Salvador. "This criminal alien should never have been roaming the streets of Los Angeles. Not only is he a member of the ruthless Surenos gang, but he also has multiple convictions for murder, assault and rape or sexual abuse of a minor," an ICE spokesperson told Fox News. "A highly unusual Biden-era legal decision from December allowed this dangerous criminal to live in American communities. Thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Noem, we are removing public safety threats as it always should have been," the statement continued. The order resulted in him being briefly released by ICE but then taken back into custody the next day because of the massive public safety risk. Guevara remains in federal custody amid the possibility of sending him to a third country, something the United States has attempted before with convicted criminals, like sending them to South Sudan. CLICK HERE FOR MORE IMMIGRATION COVERAGE The South Sudan flight last month resulted in a Boston federal judge ruling against third-party removals. Still, the Department of Homeland Security is waiting for the Supreme Court to overturn the decision. When Fox News asked if he was a convicted murderer, Guevara responded, "I'm free." Fox News reached out to his immigration attorney asking about who he's concerned will torture him in El Salvador and for more details about his case, but there has been no response yet. The nation's eyes turned onto Los Angeles earlier this month as ICE narrowed in on operations in the region, which led to protests and riots in the city and throughout the country.

Israel's War on Iran Intensifies as Trump Weighs Joining Attacks

Israel struck more of Iran's nuclear sites and warned its attacks could bring down Tehran's leadership as both sides await US President Donald Trump's decision on whether to join the offensive on the Islamic Republic. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday that while the military's objective remains the destruction of Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities, ' we may create the conditions' to help change the government.
