nubia Z70S Ultra review

GSM Arena3 days ago

It's been some six months since the last Z-series nubia, so it's time for a new one - hence the Z70S Ultra. Another installment in the brand's camera-centric lineup, this one brings a larger sensor to go with the signature 35mm lens, some extra battery capacity, and yet another fresh restyling.
For this latest edition, the nubia gets a 1/1.3" sensor for its main camera - the one with the 35mm lens. In a way, that's as good as the vivo X200 Ultra, and it's quite the testament to where the Z70S Ultra's aspirations are - in theory, at least. The previous generation had a smaller sensor (1/1.56"), but also an f/1.6-f/4.0 variable aperture lens. The aperture is now fixed at f/1.7 on this S model. The telephoto and the ultrawide remain unchanged, but the under-display selfie camera is now a little better at gathering light.
The other new development is the increase in battery capacity - a cool 10% more compared to the Z70 Ultra. And, well, that just about completes the list of upgrades, really.
Then there's the next round of restyling, the Z70S Ultra switching to a leather-like retro-looking texture for its back panel. It's no Starry Night, but it's pretty special in its own right. Our review unit of the nubia Z70S Ultra arrived without a charger, a reality that customers in the EU should be familiar with by now. It did include a cable, in the usual red color. Also included is a clear snap-on protective case, with particularly tacky shiny edges.

The most powerful Android tablet is also a technological wonder

The upcoming RedMagic Tablet 3 Pro blurs the line between tablets and smartphones when it comes to size. In fact, this is the industry's first small tablet with the fastest charging speed. It's also the industry's first OLED gaming tablet, at least according to RedMagic. But what makes the Tablet 3 Pro stand out is its raw power. RedMagic's slate is, obviously, designed for gaming, so it comes with very powerful hardware. First off, we have a top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset featuring a dedicated vapor chamber. Secondly, RedMagic Tablet 3 Pro boasts an incredible 9-inch OLED display with 165Hz refresh rate and peak local brightness of 1,600 nits. According to the Chinese company, its flagship's display is industry's first to feature 5280Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming. Besides that, the panel comes with a blue light filter and eye protection for those very long gaming sessions. Once again, RedMagic claims that this is the industry's first small tablet with the fastest charging speed. How fast you ask? Apparently, the RedMagic Tablet 3 Pro's battery charges 50% in just 22 minutes. It also supports bypass charging, which means that while charging, the tablet draws power directly from the charger instead of the battery. That not only reduces the need for battery cycling but also extends the battery lifespan in many cases. This chip supports wet hand touch and comes with advanced hot zone touch top it all off, RedMagic says the Tablet 3 Pro is the industry's first flat back cover tablet, which features the company's exclusive transparent active cooling fan design. RedMagic Tablet 3 Pro will be officially introduced in China on June 11. It will be available in two color options: Deuterium Blade Transparent Dark Night and Deuterium Blade Transparent Silver Wing. No details about prices have been revealed yet.

Nothing releases another Phone (3) teaser image

Late last month, Nothing unveiled the first teaser image depicting a small part of its upcoming Phone (3), and today the company is back with another one. It's still not a full view of any part of the device, it just seems to be a more zoomed-out version of the initial image. It is however looking like Nothing might give up on its transparent-like look for the back of the phone. The company has already confirmed that the Phone (3) won't have the Glyph LED lights on the back, with rumors swirling about the fact that it would be replaced with a customizable dot-matrix display. Phone (3). Ultra-precise engineering. — Nothing (@nothing) June 6, 2025 Clearly, Nothing enjoys teasing us like this, and we fully expect another, even more zoomed-out image to follow in a few days. And so on. The Phone (3) will be made official at an event in London on July 1, alongside the company's first-ever pair of over-ear headphones. Nothing is billing the Phone (3) as its first proper flagship smartphone, but based on the pricing that Nothing CEO Carl Pei revealed, it will probably end up being more of a 'flagship killer' type of device. Still, definitely the highest-end the brand has ever produced, that's for sure.

Samsung's first tri-fold smartphone will disappoint in the charging department

Samsung has long been rumored to be outing its first tri-fold smartphone, a la the Huawei Mate XT, later this year. Whether it's going to be announced alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 at its next Unpacked event in New York in early July remains to be seen. Regardless, the device is currently engaged in the global certifications dance, specifically it's been spotted in China's 3C database. This certification has revealed that the phone will only support 25W wired charging. Of course, a certification in China also confirms that the handset will launch over there. The tri-fold smartphone has the model number SM-F9680, where the "0" suffix signifies a phone intended for the Chinese market. Across the world, it will be SM-F968x, with the last character changing depending on market. SM-F968 has previously been associated with the tri-fold device. Unsurprisingly, the 3C certification also reveals the fact that Samsung will ship the tri-fold smartphone without a charger in the box. According to past leaks, the device will have a 9.96" folding screen and a 6.54" cover display, and will weigh 298g. Its release might be very geographically limited. Via
