You Can Put Your Driver's License on Your iPhone If You Live in One of These 9 States
Your iPhone has essentially made physical boarding passes unnecessary, and now Apple wants to do the same thing for driver's licenses, with a digital version on Apple Wallet that people can use for identify verification or getting through airport security.
Right now, a select number of states currently allow you to add your driver's license to Apple Wallet. People that enable the feature in Apple Wallet will be able to use their iPhones to get through TSA checkpoints at airports for a much snappier security experience.
It's going to take some time before all states have a digital ID system up and running. Below, we'll cover what states currently support digital IDs via Apple Wallet and how to add one to your iPhone. Plus, we'll go over some of the new features headed to Apple Wallet once iOS 26 is released later this fall.

Which states support digital IDs on iPhones?
Only a handful of states support digital IDs in Apple Wallet. One key factor is how each state implements its Mobile Driver's License system. For instance, Louisiana, New York, Utah and Virginia all support mobile driver's licenses but require separate apps for digital IDs.

Some states were originally announced to support Apple's digital ID, but haven't quite got there yet.
The number of states supported in Apple Wallet is about half of what the TSA currently allows. Collectively, it accepts digital IDs across Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, Samsung Wallet and state-based mobile apps in 15 states.
How to add your ID or driver's license to Apple Wallet
If you live in a state that supports digital IDs for Apple Wallet, it's easy to add it. After it's added, you'll need to verify your identity, which can take a little longer, but is still a straightforward process.
Open Apple Wallet .
. Tap the Add button.

If applicable, choose whether you want to add your ID to your iPhone only or both your iPhone and your Apple Watch.
Follow the steps to scan your license or ID.
(Make sure you scan your ID in a well-lit environment and the photo is in focus.)
Once it's scanned, you'll be prompted to confirm your identity with a selfie photo. According to Apple, you may be asked to complete a number of facial or head movements for identification purposes.
To ensure an easier verification process, Apple suggests that you:
Stand in front of a plain background with neutral, light paint.
Be in a well-lit area, ideally indoors.
Take off sunglasses, masks, hats or other accessories that could block your face.
Hold your iPhone steady.
When you're finished, submit your information by confirming with Touch or Face ID. Your biometrics will be bound to the ID, so only you can use it.
Transferring your digital ID to another iPhone
If you upgrade your iPhone, you'll need to transfer your ID or driver's license to it.
During initial setup, tap Wallet .

Digital passports are coming to Apple Wallet with iOS 26
Creating a digital ID from your physical passport is coming to your iPhone later this year.

While states are taking time to implement digital ID systems, Apple announced a new feature coming in iOS 26 later this year: You can add a digital passport to Apple Wallet.
When that feature is available, iPhone users will be able to scan their passports to create a digital version for identity verification during domestic travel. You won't be able to use it for international travel, and it's not a full replacement for a physical passport (so keep your physical one on you), but it should work at the 250-plus supported TSA checkpoints.
During its WWDC keynote earlier this month, Apple said that the digital ID made from your passport can also be used "in apps and in person," but it didn't give any specifics.
This is essentially what can be done on Android through Google Wallet.
Apple Wallet ID verification could make ordering alcohol easier
Also headed to iPhones this fall is an easier way for you to prove your age using your digital ID. Say you want to have a bottle of wine sent to your place via Uber Eats. Typically, when the driver arrives, you'll need to present your ID and have it scanned to complete the transaction, but with the new Verify with Wallet, your stored digital ID will be used to verify your age. (I do wonder if things might get more complicated when the delivery arrives if you're not the one receiving it.)
Verify with Wallet will be supported by Chime, Turo, Uber Eats and U.S. Bank.

As I noted in my Nvidia fiscal Q1 2026 earnings analysis, record highs appeared in sight for the company after a stellar report where it managed to beat on both the top line and bottom line and provided upbeat guidance despite losing out on sales worth several billion dollars in China due to the export controls. In this article, we'll discuss what lies ahead for the company after hitting record highs and whether it can rise above $200 next. The overall Street sentiment is quite bullish on NVDA, and of the 44 analysts covering the stock, 37 rate it as a 'Strong Buy' while three rate it as a 'Moderate Buy.' Three analysts rate the stock as a 'Hold,' while one rates it as a 'Strong Sell.' Nvidia's mean target price is $174.83, while the most recent Street-high target price (via Loop Capital) is $250. Meanwhile, after Nvidia stock has hit record highs, investors might fancy the chances of it hitting the $200 price level, even as $250 might seem a bit far-fetched for now. Notably, apart from Loop, Tigress Financial, Barclays, Truist, Rosenblatt Securities, and Cantor Fitzgerald have put a target price of $200 or higher on Nvidia. Nvidia would need to rise over 29% for the stock to hit $200, sending its market cap to almost $5 trillion. Another 25% rally will help Nvidia's stock reach its Street-high target price of $250, at which point its market cap should be north of $6 trillion. No company has ever commanded a market cap above $4 trillion. That said, stock prices are a function of underlying earnings and the kind of multiples the market gives to these earnings. Nvidia has been a growth powerhouse since the artificial intelligence (AI) pivot began in 2023. The company is expected to generate revenues of almost $200 billion in the current fiscal year, 53% higher than the previous year. Its revenues are expected to rise 25.5% to $250.7 billion in the next fiscal year. While the growth rates have arguably been falling, they are coming from a much higher base. For context, in its fiscal year 2023, Nvidia's revenues were a tad short of $27 billion. The top line growth has also flowed into the bottom line, as well as cash flows. Analysts are modelling Nvidia's earnings per share to rise 36.7% in the current fiscal year and 31.9% in the next. In absolute terms, Nvidia is expected to post EPS of $4.01 in the current fiscal year that will end in January 2026 and $5.29 in the next fiscal year. Nvidia trades at a forward price-earnings (P/E) multiple of almost 37x while the P/E-to-growth multiple is 1.31x. If Nvidia were to rise to $200, it would trade at around 50x its expected EPS this year. However, there are several moving parts here, and the earnings estimates, on which these calculations are based, are subject to revisions, both on the upside and downside. I find that a forward P/E of 50x sounds a bit too high for Nvidia, even with all the growth the company is witnessing. That said, I believe the earnings estimates could be subject to upward revision as the margins of Nvidia's Blackwell chips rise amid the ramp-up. The AI spending spree is far from over, and Huang touted sovereign AI as the next growth driver. NVDA stock currently has momentum, and I don't see any immediate risk to the rally, barring a macroeconomic shock. The next trigger for Nvidia could be a potential easing of China export restrictions, or the company coming up with a new chip that it can export under the current set of rules. Overall, I would not rule out the possibility of Nvidia stock rising above $200, if not this year, then in the coming year. However, $250 is not something I would like to bet on, at least for now. Dbrand apologizes over 'spectacularly terrible response' to faulty Switch 2 case — but I feel like the only person not affected
Dbrand is notable for its quirky, edgy marketing style and the fact it produces cases and other accessories for most high-profile gadgets. Phones, games consoles, laptops, you name it. Unfortunately the new "Killswitch" case for Nintendo Switch 2 has had some problems, and Dbrand has had to apologize for its "spectacularly terrible response" to criticism. For those of you that don't know about this, the issue arose with the Killswitch's Joy-Con grips. Using the case and grips actually caused Joy-cons' magnets to fail and detach from the console. It's alleged that this may have been caused by the lack of an air gap between the controllers and the Switch 2. Examples of the failed magnets were all over Reddit, and prompted Dbrand to post a 4,000 word response about the reported problems. The whole response can be summarized with a single line, claiming that "nobody routinely holds their Switch 2 like this.' Not only is this exactly what Apple did with the iPhone 4 antenna issues 15 years ago, Dbrand was essentially placing all blame on the users. All because they're holding onto the Joy-cons, without added support on the Switch 2 console. I don't know about you, but I know I also hold my Switch 2 by gripping the Joy-cons. The same way I did with the original Switch, since I never really put much thought into supporting the screen part of the handheld. Dbrand has since apologized for the initial response, and has promised to "say fewer words and devote less of them to blaming you." Dbrand promises that it's working to solve the issue with one of two redesigned Killswitch grips. One thins down the lip design it says is responsible for closing the air gap, while the other has a brand new design that should "fully resolve" the problem. But we won't find out which one will be going on sale until the latter enters a "mass production trial" — which won't happen until July 10 at the earliest. Dbrand has said that everyone will be entitled to a free grip replacement, regardless of whether they're actually experiencing the issues. Dbrand hasn't said if you need to ask for them, or how, but anyone actively suffering from Joy-con detachment issues should contact its support lines. My Killswitch case arrived yesterday, so all the doom and gloom surrounding the detachment issues had me worried. Fortunately for me, my grips seem to not have the same airgap issue. I was equally surprised and relieved at this considering what others have dealt with. I've done as much testing as I can, playing handheld games and literally holding onto one Joy-Con and shaking the console around. So far the only issue I had was the left grip coming off the Joy-Con, which in turn stayed firmly attached to the Switch 2. But aside from that slight issue, which is entirely my fault, the grips are staying where they should be. I guess I will need to keep an eye on that just in case. I'm not such a big fan of the Killswitch dock adapter though. The case itself is too big to fit into the regular Switch 2 dock, which means Dbrand has designed an attachment to ensure their case doesn't need to be removed all the time. The attachment is open, and the USB-C connector moves around — apparently to let you tilt your console back against the original dock for added support. While I understand why it's there, the fact it wiggles around makes it much harder to dock my Switch 2 properly. And I'm not the only person to have those issues. A finicky dock is not quite as catastrophic as the detaching Joy-cons, though. So I'm at least grateful it's rather a small problem I have to contend with.
