Oshkosh Police Department arrests Fond du Lac man for human trafficking and child solicitation
OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say a 26-year-old Fond du Lac man is currently in custody after being arrested Tuesday night in Oshkosh on charges of human trafficking and soliciting a child.
According to a release from the Oshkosh Police Department, an OPD detective had been posing as the teenage victim and communicating with the suspect via the victim's social media account.
Wisconsin man arrested near school zone for 5th OWI offense
Officials say the suspect had agreed to meet with the detective posing as the victim for unspecified sex acts something they learned during the investigation that he has done with the victim several times in the past.
Police found the 26-year-old Fond du Lac man at 11:26 p.m. in the parking lot of a business on the 200 block of West 20th Avenue and arrested him on the following charges:
Three counts of Soliciting a Child for Prostitution
Three counts of Human Trafficking of a Child
Following the arrest, a search warrant was issued for the suspect's home during which numerous electronic devices were seized.

The driver allegedly admitted to recent THC and methamphetamine use and was subsequently arrested for the 7th OWI offense. Shortly after, around 12:10 p.m., another officer conducted a traffic stop for a seatbelt violation. The driver reportedly showed signs of impairment, and a K9 gave a positive alert on the vehicle. The second driver also admitted to recent methamphetamine use and was arrested for their 6th OWI offense. Officers also noted that methamphetamine was found in their vehicle. Two men from Romania arrested in Wisconsin for ATM skimmer operation 'Impaired drivers are out at all times of the day,' officers noted in the release. 'Please be responsible and safe.' Man arrested for child abuse in Oroville, endangering toddler in roadway
( — A 31-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for child abuse after he was witnessed endangering his child in the roadway and admitted to being under the influence of cocaine, according to the Oroville Police Department. Video Above: Controversial child sex trafficking bill AB379 amended Police said officers responded to reports of a man creating a traffic hazard around 1:30 p.m. on Meyers Street and Greenville Street. Callers said the man, later identified as Oscar Bonilla, was playing with an infant in the roadway, refusing to move for cars, walking in traffic while carrying the child and even dropping the toddler on the pavement. More witnesses said that Bonilla put the child on the street, walked in and out of traffic, and described him to be 'flinging the child around like a rag doll.' It was also reported that the suspect was armed with a knife and made motions as if he were trying to hurt the baby, OPD said. A witness was eventually able to take the toddler away when Bonilla dropped them. OPD said Bonilla was exhibiting erratic behavior when they made contact and admitted to being under the influence of a large quantity of cocaine. Police discovered that the suspect had removed the toddler from their home. Police investigate fatal, solo-vehicle crash in Rocklin According to OPD, the baby was taken to the hospital after they were left with road rash, scrapes and bruises. The suspect was taken into custody after being treated for his injuries at the hospital. Bonilla was arrested on felony child abuse and felony assault with a deadly weapon. GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Green Bay Police Chief Chris Davis stopped by the Local Five studio Thursday morning to discuss safety for kids and families during the summer season and how the police department is involved with a newly launched city initiative focused on revitalizing and reengaging area neighborhoods. As students begin their summer break, Chief Davis says it's important for parents to be aware of where their kids are and what they are doing. We like to remind parents this time of year, the big thing is just know where your kids are and what they're doing, who they're with. Keep in mind that public spaces like parks get a lot busier this time of year. Everyone wants to be able to enjoy the parks, so kind of think about your behavior in the park and urge your kids to be good stewards of our public spaces. Green bay Police Chief Chris Davis Over the last few years, the department has reportedly had problems with gel blaster guns. Chief Davis says to just leave those at home and not bring them into public spaces, or kids using them could get into 'some pretty serious trouble.' Along with the summer and warmer weather also brings with it an increase in bicyclist, motorcyclist, and pedestrian traffic. The Chief says that every day drivers need to just be aware of their surroundings and not follow too closely to a motorcyclist or bicyclist as they stop much faster than a car can.
