Just last week, Man Utd suffered Europa League final heartache by losing 1-0 to Tottenham in Bilbao.
Three matches and 8,000 air-miles later, weary United flops have finally concluded their campaign with medals around their necks.
Having beaten Aston Villa 2-0 last Sunday, Ruben Amorim's men jetted straight to Malaysia, where they were subsequently embarrassed 1-0 by the hastily-put together ASEAN All-Stars.
This afternoon they avoided such a humbling, although they were 1-0 down at half-time courtesy of a goal by Juninho.

A second-half double by Chido Obi turned the contest around, before Ayden Heaven's stoppage time goal clinched the Defining Education Challenge Cup for good.
Man Utd stars, some more sheepishly than others, subsequently collected their medals.
There was then a trophy lift - something that finally prompted a smile from wantaway star Alejandro Garnacho on this trip.
United's post-season tour has been dominated by chatter regarding potential exits.

Garnacho, who was dropped for the Red Devils' final Premier League game, has been strongly linked with Napoli.
During a press conference this week, Amad Diallo was asked about the possibility of Garnacho staying at United.

Amazingly, boss Ruben Amorim was spotted struggling to stifle a laugh as the question was delivered.
Skipper Bruno Fernandes' future has also come under microscope.
While the Portuguese midfielder has been in Asia with United, his agent has reportedly been in Riyadh meeting with Al-Hilal club chiefs.
The Saudi side are said to be willing to offer the Red Devils £100m for their captain and are readying a three-year tax-free deal worth around £200m.
According to The Athletic, Fernandes is "seriously considering" making the move - with Al-Hilal wanting a quick response ahead of the Club World Cup.
Asked about whether Fernandes will leave after picking him for today's kickabout with Hong Kong, boss Amorim claimed: "I don't think so.
"I don't know for sure, nobody does. But I don't think so.
"I think he wants to stay. He is saying no to a lot of things but it shows that he wants to win."

Chelsea and Tottenham miss out as Liverpool agree deal to sell Caoimhin Kelleher

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sell Caoimhin Kelleher for an initial £12.5m, according to reports. Kelleher, 26, wants to become a No. 1 at a club after playing back-up to Alisson Becker throughout his career so far. The Republic of Ireland goalkeeper made his Liverpool debut back in 2019 but has only played 67 first-team games overall due to the presence of Alisson, one of the best shot-stoppers in the world. Kelleher did enjoy a run in Arne Slot's team at the start of the season when Alisson was sidelined with an injury an impressed as Liverpool began to mount a successful title challenge. His form even raised suggestions that Kelleher should retain his place in the team once Alisson returned to full fitness but, as expected, Slot went back to the Brazilian. More Trending Liverpool did not want to lose arguably the best back-up goalkeeper in the Premier League but accepted his decision. The likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Aston Villa have been linked with moves for Kelleher and Sky Sports say Brentford have won the race to secure his signature. Ferdinand says Cunha signing raises questions over future of Man Utd trio

Rio Ferdinand expects Manchester United to cover the costs of signing Matheus Cunha by selling one of of Alejandro Garnacho or Kobbie Mainoo – plus Marcus Rashford – this summer. United officially confirmed the impending arrival of Cunha this afternoon, with the 26-year-old attacker reaching an agreement to swap Wolves for Old Trafford. The Brazilian's move, which will set the Red Devils back £62.5million, is subject to visa and registration. After United's January deal for Patrick Dorgu, Cunha becomes only the second first-team addition of Ruben Amorim's reign at the Theatre of Dreams. It's understood Cunha has agreed to pen to paper on a five-year contract with United, tying him to the club until 2030. We don't look like we're going to score goals in open play unless it's Bruno [Fernandes] or maybe Amad [Diallo],' Ferdinand said of Cunha's arrival on his official YouTube channel Rio Ferdinand Presents. 'We've taken Wolves' top goalscorer this season. He's got 16 goals to his name in all competitions. 'He's one of the players that I mentioned a few weeks ago: if I had a shopping list, he would be on there. 'He knows the Premier League so he doesn't need any adaptation time. 'This is a huge factor… if you're going to buy players from foreign leagues, players that don't have the experience in the Premier League, there is always a risk. 'But he has the experience here, we've seen him here, he grew up a Manchester United fan.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Ferdinand believes Cunha's eye-catching performance at Old Trafford in April may have convinced United's recruitment team to pursue a move for the Brazil international. 'I'm hearing he's taking the No.10 shirt which was Rashford's shirt. What does that mean for Marcus Rashford, man?' the legendary ex-United and England defender continued. 'There's a lot of questions that will be asked about that as well and it might answer a few questions. But 17 goals and six assists in 36 games for a Wolves team is impressive. 'The recruitment team, the coaches and the players will have seen what he did to Manchester United at Old Trafford. He was slicing through Manchester United like a hot knife through butter. 'He looked like he had the power and I think he fits a Ruben Amorim player profile perfectly. He's quick, he's dynamic, he's aggressive, he's capable of dropping deep and transitioning with the ball, he can pass and he can threaten the opponents with a goal by running deep or coming short. 'I think he's the type of player that Ruben Amorim has been crying out for and with neither [Rasmus] Hojlund or [Joshua] Zirkzee at the moment looking like the answer in advanced positions, I think he has a real opportunity to play across one of those three positions quite easily, as a nine, as one of the guys off the sides.' According to Ferdinand, the addition of Cunha raises serious questions about the future of Garnacho, Mainoo and Rashford – who have all been linked with summer moves away from United. 'The only thing I would say in this window is that £60m in this window, it will remain to be seen what type of work gets done when you're spending a big chunk like that,' Ferdinand went on. 'As much as I'm happy with it, it means they are going to be some going out of the door and it means there's going to be somebody like Garnacho or Kobbie Mainoo… and Marcus Rashford. 'They will be the players that will be going I think, so when you look at it it's a lot of money. But where are you going to get players that can come and affect your first-team for that type of money?' Though pleased with the signing, Ferdinand hopes United quickly switch their attentions to strengthening in other areas in the transfer market. 'If I was advising the recruitment team on anything now, I would be saying: 'Please make sure you do not forget an experienced No.9',' he added. 'I'm not going to say names, I've said the names too many times, and I would go and get a midfielder as well. 'A midfielder that can dictate the player and pass and be the orchestrator, but he also needs to have some legs about him as well. 'That's what Ruben Amorim's teams are about, they do that.'
