Dark side of ‘dream teacher' - How married schoolteacher forced 11-year-old student to touch-kiss her, send nude pics
A horrific tale of events surfaced some time ago, involving a married elementary school and her 11-year-old child student. The female teacher from Russia, described as 'dream teacher' of many was caught red handed for sexually abusing a minor in Toksovo town, located in the northern outskirts of St Petersburg.
The teacher in discussion was identified as Anna Plaksyuk, who was 25-year-old at the time of the abuse, RuNews24 reported. The inappropriate conduct of this mentor went on for four months before being finally caught by the victim's mother. The abuse came to light after the victim's mother discovered a string of explicit messages and photos exchanged between her son and the teacher on WhatsApp.
The mother of the victim accused the teacher of 'systematic flirting, stroking and kissing,' and reported the matter to the school authorities.
It was found that Anna Plaksyuk asked the boy to stay back after classes and locked the door, what followed was 'violent acts of a sexual nature,' a court in the Leningrad region of Russia observed. She not only made the 11-year-old kiss her on the lips but also forced the boy to touch her chest while she touched him inappropriately.
The harassment was not limited to the classroom, the teacher allegedly sent nude pictures to the boy and in return demanded that her pupil send her explicit photographs.
According to RuNews24 report, the teacher was awarded a jail term of nine years and has been serving the sentence in pre-trial detention since her arrest in February last year. She has also been banned from teaching for a further year after her release.
As per local media reports, the victim did not show up in school for some time after the teacher's arrested.
However, the educator blamed the boy for initiating the abuse in November 2023. In her statement, Anna Plaksyuk claimed that the boy had 'shown signs of attention' in the months preceding the abuse and 'made compliments to her.'
In case of crimes of a sexual nature committed against minors, 'A ban on the imposition of suspended sentences on persons convicted of crimes against the sexual inviolability of minors under 14 years of age,' Criminal Code of Russian law states.

CUTTACK: In a high-value financial scam case, the Orissa High Court has granted regular bail to 23 persons accused of being involved in laundering defrauded funds through their bank accounts. The scam surfaced with a retired person lodging a complaint that he was duped of Rs 6.28 crore after being added to a WhatsApp group named as an Investment Club, administered by a person using a US number. Posing as investment advisors, the group lured him with daily stock discussions and fake IPO deals. Falling for the fictitious profits, he invested his retirement corpus into shares of a fake company and was shown massive gains. However, repeated demands for hefty service charges and withdrawal fees led to further losses. Finally, he was removed from the group, the app was deactivated, and no funds were returned. Acting on the complaint, the state CID-Crime Branch's cyber police station in Cuttack registered an FIR on August 24, 2024, and arrested 23 persons in connection with the fraud. The vacation court took up the bail petitions of the 23 accused on Monday following the Supreme Court's direction on May 30 to the high court to consider them on June 9 and decide them expeditiously. One of the accused had sought the SC's intervention against the delay in adjudication on the bail pleas f i led in December and thereafter.

Hyderabad hospital CEO caught buying cocaine worth ₹5 lakh, arrested
Two people, including a 34-year-old female doctor were taken into custody here after 53 grams of cocaine was seized from their possession, police said. According to news agency PTI, based on credible information, a team of Raidurgam police caught the doctor and the man when he was handing over to her a packet of cocaine in the doctor's car near a restaurant on May 8. She had ordered the drugs from the Mumbai-based supplier, identified as Vansh Dhakkar, over WhatsApp and paid ₹5 lakh for it on May 4. When Dhakkar's aide Balakrishna was delivering the drugs, that's when the police caught hold of him and the doctor, NDTV reported. "A medical practitioner had ordered drugs from Vansh in Mumbai, who was known to her. A person called Balakrishna then came to supply (drugs) and handed them over to her at Raidurgam," senior police official Venkanna said. He further said that along with 53 grams of cocaine, police also seized from them ₹10,000 cash and two cell phones. Cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered against the accused, Venkanna said, adding that the duo have been sent to judicial custody. The doctor, who was allegedly addicted to drugs, confessed during interrogation that she had spent around ₹70 lakhs on drugs over some time. According to a report from The Hindu, the police collected a sample of the cocaine and sent it to the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis and examination. The Raidurgam police are also looking for another person, who is allegedly a local peddler involved in the drug trade. Recently, seizures made by the Mumbai unit of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) have indicated that narcotics-trafficking syndicates are now using air routes to smuggle high-value contraband like cocaine. From April 2024 to March 2025, the DRI's Mumbai unit seized more than 18 kilograms of foreign-origin cocaine estimated to be around ₹180 crore in 12 separate cases, HT reported.

Objectionable photos found in phone of Mathura youth arrested over 'provocative' online post
'Objectionable photos and videos allegedly involving Hindu women have been found in the mobile phone of a Muslim youth arrested for sharing a 'provocative' message on social media on Eid,' police said. They said the youth allegedly lured the women into relationships by pretending to be a Hindu, filmed them in compromising situations and circulated the content online. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar on Wednesday (June 11, 2025) said he has formed a special team to investigate the matter, which has now taken a serious turn following the recovery of digital evidence. According to police, Imran, a resident of Machhi Mandi in the Kotwali area in Mathura and an autorickshaw driver, was taken into custody on Sunday (June 8, 2025) after local Hindu leaders complained about a communal and inflammatory social media post made by him on Eid. Following his arrest, Hindu groups alleged that Imran was involved in "love jihad" — a coinage used by right-wing activists to refer to the alleged campaign of Muslims forcing Hindu girls to convert in the guise of love. 'Based on these allegations, Imran's mobile phone was sent to the cyber headquarters for forensic analysis,' police said. "Initial investigation revealed that he had written on one of his social media display pictures, 'I have more girlfriends than most people's age'. We have also found photos and videos of Hindu women in compromising situations on his mobile phone," SSP Kumar said. He said Imran used fake online identities to trap the women and later shared the obscene material on various platforms. 'Emails have been sent to social media companies requesting dossiers of all of Imran's accounts along with associated URLs,' he said. "Based on phone records, we are trying to identify the victims and encourage them to come forward. Their identities will be kept strictly confidential and if required, counselling will be offered," the SSP said. Imran was allegedly active on multiple platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram.
