Meet J-36 fighter jet of China: Lethal weapon which is combination of nuclear capable bomber and fighter plane, how dangerous is it?
(Image: www.ap7am.com)
New Delhi: China is working on the sixth-generation fighter jet J-36 and for the first time some pictures of this fighter jet have surfaced online which show the canopy design of the plane. Also, it is seen that it has a side-by-side seating arrangement, and three open ventral weapons bays are visible in this fighter plane.
The picture shows that this is a very big fighter plane and it is a bit surprising that a fighter jet is so big and gigantic. This looks like a very heavy fighter plane, which indicates that it has been designed on the lines of a bomber along with a fighter plane, that is, heavy and huge bombs can be dropped from this sixth-generation fighter jet.
That is, it is a tactical fighter plane and looks like a mixture of a tactical bomber. China showed this fighter jet to the world for the first time during the airshow last year which created a stir in the world of fighter planes. After this, America also approved the manufacture of its sixth-generation fighter plane F-47. America has given the contract to make F-47 to Boeing. The race to make the sixth-generation fighter has started between China and America.
Chengdu Aircraft Corporation is believed to be the developer of the J-36. How powerful is J-36 fighter jet?
The J-36 looks bigger in size than the J-20, which suggests that it is not just a fighter jet but can also play the role of a strategic nuclear bomber. China is probably building the J-36 as a multi-role deep penetration platform. That is, an aircraft that drops heavy bombs while flying like a fighter plane. Till now, bombs are not dropped from fighter planes as there are separate planes for dropping bombs, like American B-2 bombers.
There are indications of J-36 having three weapons bays. This means that J-36 can fly with a large number of weapons inside it. This means that its stealth capability will not be weakened even if it flies with heavy weapons.
The J-36 fighter is believed to have very long-range covert strike capability like America's NGAD (Next Generation Air Dominance) platform.
J-36 has been designed not just for air dominance but also for complex missions like deep strike, electronic warfare and ISR. It is assumed that China's J-36 can take the lead in the sixth-generation fighter jets.

Speaking on CNBC's 'Squawk on the Street' Thursday, Karp stated bluntly that the AI arms race 'will have one winner,' and he urged Western countries to act quickly or risk falling behind. While he highlighted the benefits of AI, he also underscored its risks, warning that failing to innovate responsibly could put democratic nations at a disadvantage. His comments come amid political criticism and a dip in Palantir's emphasized that the global competition in artificial intelligence is not just about technology—it's about values, power, and national security. According to Karp, 'either you win or you lose in this game.' He made it clear that the AI race isn't like traditional markets where multiple players can thrive; instead, there will likely be one dominant power, and he believes it's crucial that Western democracies lead that credited American corporate culture for fostering rapid innovation, saying that U.S. companies are uniquely positioned to adapt quickly and push tech boundaries. 'No other economy has corporate leaders as adaptable and tech-savvy while remaining deeply grounded in industry expertise,' he warning wasn't just for the U.S. government—it was a message for all Western allies. He urged countries in Europe and beyond to learn from America's aggressive innovation approach. He expressed concern that without similar urgency and investment, other democratic nations could lose ground in AI development, making the global balance of power increasingly tilted in China's urgency he stressed reflects a broader concern among policymakers and tech leaders about China's rapid advancements in AI, especially in military and surveillance Karp made headlines with his AI warnings, Palantir is also facing political heat.
