Actor Choi Dae Hoon seemed surprised when he was called on stage to receive the award.
The 61st Baeksang Awards was held on May 5 to celebrate Korean entertainment across big screens, theatres, and TV. Among the winners of the evening was Choi Dae Hoon. The ' When Life Gives You Tangerines star was awarded the 'Best Supporting Actor" for his role in the series. The actor played the role of Boo Sang Gil and is popularly known as Mr. Hagssi Ahjussi. He received much praise and love from the fans for his role in the series.
Actor Choi Dae Hoon seemed surprised when he was called on stage to receive the award. 'Wow..This honestly feels like a prank," Dae Hoon started his speech with sheer joy and surprise. The actor began thanking all the cast and crew at 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.' Dae Hoon also shared his reaction when the director Kim Won Seok and writer Lim Sang Choon asked him to play the character of Boo Sang Gil. According to the actor his first reaction was 'Will I be able to pull this off? What if I become a burden to the project?" Dae Hoon recalled.
Reflecting on his acting journey, the actor stated he started acting in the first place because he liked watching people enjoy him as an actor and instead of worrying whether people liked him or not, he simply focused on fulfilling his responsibility. Dae Hoon also took time to thank Han Myeong Hoon, his first director and last but not least, the actor thanked his wife and family. 'And to my wife..You put your life in my hands and believed in me. I hope this makes a good 10th anniversary gift," Dae Hoon said cheekily. Before coming down from the stage he channeled Mr. Hagssi one last time and encouraged fans to be unapologetic and the crowd like always burst out in cheers after Dae Hoon's Hagssi impression.
Choi Dea Hoon is a popular South Korean actor who began his career in 2002 with a short film titled In The Jungle, then went on to star in various movies and shows, including The Terror Live, Bridal Mask, Six Flying Dragons, When Life Gives You Tangerines, and others.

With Jungkook 's military discharge being two days away, the BTS Army fans are ecstatic. After an 18-month wait, fans are finally ready to be reunited with their favorite artist. To show their love and support for the artist, the fans have planned a series of banners, posters, and events as June 11 approaches. Everyone in South Korea is celebrating right now, even the soldiers, who were seen at the artist's pre-military discharge events.
