I can be quite picky about what I like, but I am always curious to explore new dishes, ingredients and flavours. I grew up eating my mum's home-cooked meals.
Every day, she cooked simple yet delicious food for our family of five, with often more elaborate meals on weekends. One of her signature dishes is a tomato tart, a recipe I once featured on my menu. Her love for cooking filled our home with warmth and happiness, and it always made us feel loved.

Comedian Louis C.K. to perform in Hong Kong next March
US comedian Louis C.K. will perform in Hong Kong on March 24 next year. His 'Ridiculous' tour involves 100 gigs in the US this year, with Asian and European fixtures set for 2026. Tickets go on sale in August via his website, His team confirmed to HKFP on Monday that a previously announced Manila date would be replaced by the appearance in Hong Kong. He will also take to the stage in India, Thailand and Japan. 'Simply, I'm hitting the road again and staying out there for a long while. I am, after all, a professional stand-up comedian,' the multi-award winning comic wrote in an email to fans. C.K. rose to prominence as a writer for Saturday Night Live and late night talk show hosts. He released nine comedy albums, starred in numerous specials, and received acclaim for his semi-autobiographical comedy-drama series Louie. The comedian's projects were cancelled following sexual misconduct allegations in 2017. But he has since continued to tour and release stand-up specials.

His lawyer said Depardieu would be appealing the court decision. In one of the highest-profile #MeToo cases to come before judges in France, Depardieu, a towering figure of French cinema, had repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. But judge Thierry Donard said Depardieu's explanation of events had been unconvincing. One of the two plaintiffs, Amelie K, a set decorator, had told the court the actor had groped her all over her body as he trapped her between his legs and made explicit sexual comments. "He touched everything, including my breasts," she told the court. "I was terrified, he was laughing." The presiding judge said two witnesses corroborated her account whilst Depardieu had been contradictory in his own accounts. The #MeToo protest movement over sexual violence has struggled to gain the same traction in France as in the United States, though there are signs that social attitudes towards sexual assault may be changing.
