Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta sends fans into a frenzy as he delivers the Champions League trophy to Munich ahead of the final between PSG and Inter Milan
Fans in Munich were greated to the appearance of footballing legend Andres Iniesta, who helped deliver the Champions League trophy to the city that will hosting this year's final.
The four-time winner partnered with official sponsors FedEx, who delivered European football's most prized piece of silverware from UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland to the Champions League festival at the Olympiapark Munich ahead of the final.
Iniesta led a procession - named the Walk of Champions - that was made up of stars from the local community, including International Football Club of Bern, DFI Football Academy and UEFA Foundation for Children's, SCORING GIRLS*.
Fans could hardly control themselves as the 41-year-old arrived in the Bavarian capital. Those involved in FedEx's Delivering For Success film were all given exclusive access to Iniesta with learning experiences covering education, equipment provision, coaching and career management.
'For me, being on the side of FedEx and working together for this special moment with the UEFA Champions League in this place like Munich is very special, and I'm very happy to be here,' said the legendary former midfielder, who won his fourth and final European crown in Germany a decade ago.

Major evacuation in Cologne after second world war bombs discovered
The biggest evacuation in Cologne since the second world war is under way after the discovery of three unexploded bombs dropped by allies 80 years ago, causing major disruption to the western German city. About 20,000 people are having to leave their homes and businesses, hotels, a care home for elderly people and a hospital are being forced to evacuate. Three bridges over the river Rhein have been closed and rail traffic has been halted or diverted. Numerous schools, kindergartens, museums and the tram network, as well as the home of the city's philharmonic orchestra, have had to close after the entire old town was brought to a halt. Major broadcaster RTL had to shift its news programmes to studios in Berlin, as its building sits inside the evacuated area of about 1,000 metres in radius. Several programmes that were due to be transmitted live had to be recorded instead, the broadcaster said. The bombs are due to be defused on Wednesday morning. They are US-produced bombs, two are 20 tons and one 10 tons, all of which were discovered on Monday on the right bank of the Rhein during building works near the Deutz ship works. All three are equipped with impact fuzes intended to cause detonation on contact with a hard surface. Volunteers, police and other city authorities will carry out a round of checks ringing on doorbells, calling through letter boxes, and gathering information from residents about their neighbours on Wednesday morning, before attempts to defuse the bombs can start. Police have said they have the authority to use force to remove anyone who refuses to leave voluntarily. Locals can call a hotline or refer to a website for advice. Tents and other facilities such as sport halls and churches outside the evacuated area will be open to provide people with food, refreshments and support, city authorities said. Eighty years after the end of the second world war, such finds are still not unusual in Cologne, which was among Germany's most heavily bombed cities during the conflict. It was hit in 262 air raids carried out by the RAF, sometimes using US-produced bombs, especially towards the end of the conflict. About 20,000 people were killed in the bombing raids. On the night of 30 May 1942, the city was the target of the Royal Air Force's first 'thousand-bomber raid' on a German city. More than 1,000 aircraft were dispatched, flying in a narrow 'bomber stream' formation, the density of which had the effect of overwhelming German radar and defences. On this single night, 868 bombers attacked the city with 1,455 tons of bombs in what was known as Operation Millennium. It is not yet known when the bombs currently awaiting defusing were dropped.

Having entered a coalition in the Netherlands, Geert Wilders appears to have come to the conclusion that the Dutch establishment is currently drawing from this exact playbook, and has collapsed the government as a result of its unwillingness to back his revised plans on migration and failure to deliver existing pledges. It is another sorry entry in a long series. In Germany, some politicians are calling for an outright ban on Alternative fur Deutschland, with the intelligence agencies now authorised to use surveillance in an attempt to gather information on the party. In France, Marine Le Pen has been banned from standing in the next election. And in Britain, 15 years of consecutive votes for lower migration, with manifesto pledges and verbal promises to deliver the same, have resulted in the precise opposite as politicians drunk on inflated fiscal forecasts have sought to shirk hard decisions. There is every prospect that Sir Keir Starmer's recent tough talk will turn out to be yet another attempt to pay lip service to concerns on migration without introducing meaningful reforms. The scale of the changes triggered by our open doors policy, however, means pressure will continue to build. Should politicians continue to defy the public, they should not be surprised if they pay a heavy price at the ballot box.

PSG Champions League hero has house burgled just hours after lifting trophy - as police arrest two suspects after catching them 'red-handed'
A Paris-Saint Germain star had his house broken into as he celebrated winning the Champions League at the weekend. PSG won Europe's premier competition for the first time on Saturday night as they dismantled Inter Milan in Munich, winning 5-0 to lift the trophy and trigger scenes of rife celebration inside the Allianz Arena. A number of stars received praise in the fallout of the game, but Luis Enrique's midfield trio was largely lauded as the best in the competition throughout the campaign. It was a midfield that featured former Wolves star Vitinha, as well as Joao Neves. The third man in the dynamic trio was Fabian Ruiz, who joined the club from Napoli in 2022. Ruiz played a key role in his side's success, but had his home in Paris ransacked by burglars in the aftermath of his achievement in a different country. The 29-year-old had returned to Paris with the squad to embark on a celebration parade on the streets of Paris on Sunday, but, just a day later, his home was broken into before two arrests were made. The alarm system in Ruiz's house alerted police, who raced to the scene and arrested two suspects while they were still at the property. A police source told Le Parisien: 'We found the player's home in total disorder. 'The two minors had rummaged through every room before we caught them red-handed.' The incident came amid unrest in the French capital following PSG's success in Europe on Saturday night. A teenager was stabbed to death and 426 people were arrested during intense nationwide violence. Police reported riots and looting as the club beat Inter Milan in Munich, Germany, in the final of the Champions League on Saturday night. One of the worst incidents took place in Dax, in the south-west of France, where a 17-year-old was knifed in the stomach. Ruiz, meanwhile, is not the first PSG player to have suffered a break-in during his time at the club. Defender Willian Pancho had his house burgled in March when he was on international duty with Ecuador, and Angel Di Maria suffered the same fate in 2021 while a PSG player.
