Joyce (16-3, 15 KOs), a 2016 Olympic silver medalist, managed wins over Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker in a stellar run to start his professional career until Zhilei Zhang toppled him in back-to-back inside-the-distance defeats in 2023.
"The Juggernaut" rebounded with a late stoppage of Kash Ali in March 2024, but fell short again to Derek Chisora in the fight after in a significant upset. Joyce, 39, now enters into another high-stakes heavyweight clash with Hrgovic knowing he needs a win to keep his career at the top level alive.
Hrgovic (17-1, 14 KOs) announced himself to the boxing world with a decision win over the China's big-punching Zhang in August 2022. He was mandatory challenger for the IBF title but ultimately lost that position to Dubois, suffering his first career defeat on the Queensberry vs. Matchroom 5 vs. 5 card this past June.

Finn Russell hoping for strong showing from Bath fans at Premiership final
Scotland fly-half Finn Russell is looking forward to running out at the Allianz Stadium to the roar of Bath's sell-out support rather than with the jeers of England fans ringing in his ears. The British and Irish Lions number 10 kicked 14 points to help Bath beat rivals Bristol and secure a return to the Gallagher Premiership final. Advertisement Russell, who has recovered from cramp which forced him off during the closing stages at The Recreation Ground, hopes to feel plenty of positive vibes from the Twickenham stands on Saturday – in stark to his previous visits when in Scotland blue. Finn Russell was part of the Scotland side edged out 16-15 by England in their Guinness Six Nations match at the Allianz Stadium in February (Adam Davy/PA) 'From what I have heard, a lot of Bath fans bought tickets a while back to make sure they had them, as they did last year,' Russell said. 'A lot of them will be getting the train over to Twickenham at the weekend and it is always good playing in front of a sold-out stadium. 'Having your home fans there, hopefully the majority of tickets are Bath fans, that will be special.' Advertisement Scotland vice-captain Russell added: 'I know the other side of playing at Twickenham – usually when I am there, it is 70-odd thousand fans against me. 'But it is always special playing in that stadium and hopefully our fans can make as much noise as possible.' Russell, 32, remains determined to see Bath put last season's defeat by Northampton behind them and land a first title since 1996. 'I think that motivation has been there for everyone,' said Russell, who has been called up for his third successive Lions tour this summer. 'After getting that final and losing it last year, it is always quite tough to come back in that next year. Advertisement 'But I think everyone came back in pre-season in good shape and kind of ripped in straight away. 'At the start of the year, the goal was to win the Premiership. We have gotten ourselves in a good spot just now to hopefully go and do that. 'We have almost got back to where we wanted to be and hopefully can go one step further this year.' Bath finished 11 points clear of Leicester at the top of the Premiership table, having won 14 games. Johann van Graan's side have already lifted the Premiership Rugby Cup and European Challenge Cup this season as they look to close out the campaign with yet more silverware. Johann van Graan's side have already tasted domestic and European success this season (Andrew Matthews/PA) 'The playing group have been fantastic and it is great that everybody wants to play in the final, but ultimately, we can only select 23 players,' said Bath head of rugby van Graan. Advertisement 'In our training again today, it doesn't matter what team you were in, everybody was in (to the session). 'Yes, some individuals will be disappointed, but that's natural. 'We see that as a positive, because everybody wants to play for this team and pulls in the same direction because they want to achieve something together.'

Christian Pulisic's dad uses ChatGPT to mock Landon Donovan as USMNT feud intensifies
Christian Pulisic's dad, Mark, hit back at Landon Donovan on Monday with a ChatGPT summary of Donovan's sabbatical after the U.S. soccer great appeared to criticize the midfielder for his decision to sit out the upcoming Gold Cup to rest after wrapping up his season with AC Milan. Donovan was a pundit Sunday for Fox Sports during the UEFA Nations League final, in which Portugal beat Spain on penalties, and made it clear he was unhappy with Pulisic's decision to ask U.S. head coach Mauricio Pochettino to leave him out of the Gold Cup squad. 'This is what it means to represent your country,' Donovan said on the broadcast while watching Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo. 4 Christian Pulisic (c.) with dad Mark (l.) and mom Kelley (r.) Chelsea FC via Getty Images 4 Landon Donovan had some critical words. Getty Images 'This is what it means. And if you don't want to take this as a professional soccer player, as someone who gets the opportunity to wear that jersey and take it seriously and responsibly, then don't come in. This is what it means. 'He's (Ronaldo) 40-years-old. He's played a long ass season. He's tired. He's out there grinding. Hurt himself in the process, and I can't help but think about some of our guys on vacation, not wanting to play in the Gold Cup. It's pissing me off.' While Donovan did not mention Pulisic by name, it was clear he was referring to him as well as Yunus Musah and Antonee Robinson, who are also skipping the tournament for rest despite not being injured, according to USA Today. By way of response, Mark Pulisic asked ChatGPT to explain Donovan's sabbatical from soccer in 2012-13, which ultimately led to him being left out of the 2014 World Cup squad. 'Landon Donovan took his sabbatical because he was feeling both physically and mentally exhausted after years of intense competition and the pressure that comes with being a top athlete,' the AI program said in a response to the prompt. 'He'd been playing professionally from a young age and had participated in multiple World Cups, so he felt the need to step back and take some time for himself. This break allowed him to rest, travel, and ultimately return to the game with a refreshed mindset.' 4 Landon Donovan during a USMNT practice in May 2014. Donovan is not alone in being critical of Pulisic's decision, with former U.S. great Alexi Lalas levelling similar criticisms, saying the team needs as much playing time together as they can get with the World Cup coming to the U.S., Mexico and Canada next year.
