Charu Asopa has moved on to a new chapter in her life and is no longer entertaining negativity from online trolls. After parting ways with Rajeev Sen, actress Sushmita Sen's brother, Charu relocated from Mumbai to her hometown Bikaner with her daughter Ziana. She recently shared a vlog documenting her shopping trip for essential household items, but instead of support, she received criticism for making expensive purchases.
In her latest vlog, Charu addressed the backlash directly, making it clear she never portrayed herself as financially struggling. 'I keep giving you guys updates. People commented why I travelled by flight and not train. The brand invited me and insisted on booking a flight. Some even made videos of me shopping and said, 'Yeh toh gareeb hai'. Pehli baat, maine kabhi nahi bola ke main gareeb hu. By God's grace, I'm managing fine. I don't want sympathy—I've taken a conscious break from TV to explore other things. That was my decision," she said.
Charu also explained that while she's working with a limited budget, she's carefully planning every purchase. 'If one has unlimited money, that person can choose anything. However, she needs to be careful now due to budget issues," she admitted.
Despite her conscious decision to step away from daily soaps for the time being, Charu revealed that she continues to receive offers from television producers. However, she prefers staying in Bikaner to prioritise her daughter's well-being.
She shared that she bought her new home through a loan, adding, 'The EMI I'm paying now is almost equal to the rent I was paying in Mumbai. Rent increases each year, but EMI remains constant—that's the advantage. I've bought an AC, and I'm creating a play area for Ziana. I found a good fridge, but it's expensive—so I'll cut down on other things to get what's needed. I still need geysers and a vacuum cleaner. I'm buying slowly, within my means."
