Users report that one of their earbuds just won't charge
Lots of suggested solutions don't seem to work
Some users reported burn marks near charging pins
It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro aren't out of the quality control woods just yet. Last summer the buds were delayed due to quality control issues of multiple kinds; now, it seems there are still serious issues with at least some users' earbuds.
According to Sammyfans, multiple Buds 3 Pro users are reporting that one of their earbuds simply won't charge.
While several users have suggested things that may have helped them to get things started, there doesn't seem to be any trick that's working more broadly.
According to the report, users have tried restarting their phones, resetting the earbuds to factory settings, checking for debris and, of course, checked the really basic stuff such as ensuring the charging case is charged. But it seems that these attempts haven't been successful in finding a consistent fix.
There's one bit in the report that's particularly worrying. "Some users have even noted burn marks near the charging pins," which is not something you want to see in your expensive electronics, though obviously we'll have to take it with a grain of salt at this time as to whether this is totally accurate, or related.
The strongest culprit so far is that the issue may be due to imperfectly positioned charging pins: some users have reported successfully charging their errant earbuds by holding them carefully in position rather than just sitting them in the case, or even by gently adjusting the charging pin position with a small screwdriver.
If you're affected by the charging issue, I wouldn't recommend getting the screwdrivers out, or at least I wouldn't if your DIY skills are as destructive as mine: if this is a fault, it should be a warranty fix under Samsung's standard 12-month warranty, so your first port of call should be Samsung support.
We rate the Samsung Buds3 Pro as being among the best wireless earbuds for those with Samsung phones, but we'll be keeping an eye on this story to see if it develops.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Core and Buds 3 FE Emerge in App Teardown
Samsung appears to be preparing to bring new earbuds to its Galaxy Buds series; at least, that is what the APK teardown of the Galaxy Buds Controller app shows. The app of the Wear OS version 1.0.08.38 contains model numbers that hint at quite a few upcoming earbuds. The numbers R400, R410, and R420 are noted, where R400 could be Galaxy Buds FE, R410 could be a new product called Galaxy Buds Core, and R420 is linked to a possible Galaxy Buds 3 FE, as reported by Android Authority. At this stage, not much is known about the specs or features these earbuds will have. Not just this, but it is also unclear whether Samsung plans to launch both the Galaxy Buds Core and the Galaxy Buds 3 FE at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is set to give details about the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, and possibly a triple-folding device. The company has not given any official information about the release dates or what these earbuds will have to set them apart from previous models. APK teardowns are a common way for tech enthusiasts and analysts to learn about probable upcoming products based on code found in current apps.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 could be the fastest foldable yet with Snapdragon 8 Elite power
Samsung is working on its next foldable smartphone, and it'll be called the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The company just teased the phone as the "thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet," and an FCC listing backs up that claim by showing a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip under the hood. With that kind of processing power, it very well could be the most powerful foldable smartphone ever to hit the market. The FCC listing, which 91Mobiles spotted, is for a Samsung phone with the model number SM-F966B. Based on Samsung's model naming conventions and other leaks, this is almost certainly the international variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The listing also shows the SM8750 SoC for the phone, which is the model for Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This essentially confirms that the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip will be in the phone, but there is still a slight possibility that the company could change course or the model numbers could be incorrect. While we cannot say with 100% certainty that the phone will come with the powerful chip, this is as close to certain as we can be. Samsung obtaining phone certification from the FCC indicates that the company intends to launch it soon. Samsung is expected to host an Unpacked event in July, where the next phone is officially announced, featuring a considerably larger and lighter design. The listing also mentions 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Ultra-wide Band (UWB), wireless charging, and wireless power sharing as features expected in the next foldable (none of which are surprising).
