Grimsby arrests after police called to machete report
Two men have been arrested after armed police were called to reports of a man carrying a machete in a street in Grimsby. Humberside Police said two men climbed on to the roof of a building to avoid arrest when officers were called to Stanley Street just before 16:20 GMT on Tuesday.A 31-year old man came down from the roof at 17:15 while a 23-year-old remained there until 20:35, police said. Both are being questioned on suspicion of affray.
Det Ch Insp Ben Robinson thanked the local community for their patience during the incident."Those in the area can expect to see extra officers carrying out inquiries and offering reassurance," he said."I would encourage anyone with any information or concerns about the incident to please speak with them."

Motorcyclist seriously injured after tractor crash in Dinsdale

Man was speeding before fatal Handsworth crash, inquest hears

AGC's are supposed to ensure staff are trained to spot problem gamblers and intervene. They also operate a self-exclusion scheme which allows problem gamblers to self-exclude from AGC's. Staff should intervene if they spot somebody who has self-exlcuded and should ask them to leave the premises. It's a sensible plan - but does it actually work?
